What a wonderful experience. I decided to replace an older 40 hp two-stroke with a new Tohatsu 60hp 4-stroke on my pontoon boat. Allen was great to work with. I only had a two week window to get the new engine mounted and installed before a three week vacation on Kerr Lake. Allen allowed me to Come into the shop and help with the installation and we were able to get the work completed in time for vacation. I learned a lot about outboard motors, and the engine set up process. In addition, he saved me about $3000 over a local competitors price for a compatible four stroke engine! I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend Outboard Performance and Allen to anyone needing a new engine, or outboard motor work done. He really knows outboard engines!

Outboard Performance did what they said they would do. Put me on the water in time to fish. I called Outboard Performance and in no time, got a brand new 2025 30hp Tohatsu Outboard motor. Motor exceeds expectations and Allen made it possible. I would recommend Outboard Performance to anyone in the Raleigh area looking to upgrade!

Alan was straight up with us. He said he couldn't get to me for 2 weeks. After the two weeks, he took the boat in and did exactly what he said he was going to do. The boat runs GREAT! Boat hadn't been run for about 5 years before I got it. I highly recommend him!

Mr. Allen and his son done wonderful work on my bass boat and he sold his engine for his boat, to me He worked on my boat and got it just right and they were so pleasant and he put all his time towards his customers and I highly recommend him to all customers, I thank him and his son for the great service and he'll be the only outboard shop to service my boat!!

what a great crew, Mr. Allen and his son done great things to my bass boat with a brand new engine, Mr. Allen sold me his outboard engine for his boat and gave me great discounts, We're both Veterans and we started a great friendship and I highly recommend his business to all customers, Great mechanics and wonderful people, Anymore repairs I need will be with him, I thank y'all very much, Mr. Allen thank you so much!!!!!

I wanted to repower my boat and after calling a few dealerships in the area decided to purchase a new Tohatsu through Allen. Couldn’t be more satisfied with my purchase, the install and customer service throughout the process. Would highly recommend outboard performance for all outboard needs!

Can’t say enough good things about Allen. I had them work on a Yamaha 150 that was running rough. He was very thorough and discussed options and potential issues that could cause the problems. Running great now. Costs were reasonable and I will definitely return for service work in the future. 5 star all the way!

Great guys to work with. They took my old 30hp tiller and upgraded it to a 50HP Tohatsu in my customized 1978 Dixie Skiff. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and provide insight into what I needed to do to prep the boat for controls. The layout of my boat has limited room in the center console, but they somehow made it all fit. It's not a factory fresh fit, but this boat isn't that. They had to use some ingenuity to make it work, and I couldn't be happier. They made everything fit and function perfectly. My little boat went from 23 mph loaded to 36 mph at 5400 RPM regardless of load. The engine has more, but my old hull starts to porpoise at 36. Outboard performance nailed it on prop size and engine height. She jumps on plane with plenty of top end.

Amazing customer service and knowledge. I brought my boat in after having issues on my Tohatsu 50HP. They were fast, incredibly nice, informative, and were cost conscious on making repairs.
