Frisco Woods Campgrounds Inc. is a great, laid-back campground run by a local family. It is a beautiful spot with many sound-front sites offering breathtaking and gorgeous sunsets. The location is perfect, within walking distance to a tavern and close to beach access, the ferry, the lighthouse, and other amenities. The staff is good, super friendly, helpful, and polite, with efficient check-in. They are available off-hours if needed. The establishment is very dog-friendly, featuring a dog park and a dog washing station. The bath houses are among the nicest seen and are kept as clean as possible. Other facilities include a washer and dryer and a well-stocked store. The campground is a great place for families with children and hosts events like a Halloween trick-or-treat. It is noted for being a very fair price for the views and hookups. The policies are clear. Guests appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and report enjoying their stays, often returning year after year.

Frisco Woods is our go to camp ground on the Outerbanks. Great cabins and very accommodating staff.

We’ve been to this campground twice now with our RV. We enjoyed our stay both times. If you get a sound side site, the sunsets are gorgeous!
