Great experience purchasing glasses at BJs optical in Garner NC. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. My glasses were affordable and ready within a week. Stylish frames and the progressive lenses are spot on.

This was a very unique exam. Vanessa (I’m sorry I don’t remember her position name) was wonderful. She completed some pre-vision screening testing. My information was uploaded into the system and I was then connected to the refraction specialist via something similar to Skype who performed the eye exam and asking me to read the lines of letters that I saw. This technician was a little rude and impatient when I’d ask her to flip back to the previous screen when answering whether “1” or “2” was better. After that the actual eye doctor connected and asked me additional questions and determined my new prescription. They ordered me some trial contacts and I went back yesterday for the fitting. Vanessa did her thing and then I spoke again via Skype for lack of a better word to a different refraction specialist, who was very nice, and then the eye doctor. It was definitely different not having those people in the room with me but I suspect it helps to keep costs down and the savings are passed along to the patient. I only paid $99 for the exam and the contact lens fitting. That same exam with live people at another chain eye center cost me over $200 out of pocket even with my vision insurance benefit. I will definitely routine to BJ’s for my next eye exam.
