Wasted a week *trying* to reach the lender there. Matt wouldn't pick up his phone. Called every day this week-- no response. Emails went days without a response. I got 1 reply on Wednesday that said to upload through their system but their system doesn't work, further questions go unanswered. I tried. I even tried calling their general customer support to try to get reassigned to someone else and his manager, Karen, told me she could do that but the gaps in my employment make me ineligible anyway. THEN WHY DIDNT MATT TELL ME THAT? Why go a whole week struggling through your broken online portal, calls to customer service, etc. Worst credit union I've ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with.

I don’t visit the branch often but when I do there’s always an issue. Teller machine won’t work, bills get rejected, drivers license won’t read. So I usually just leave. Making principle only payments always seems to be a chore. Why isn’t there an option when paying online for principle only payments. I have a car loan and a HELOC account with coastal that are great. Just trying to service my accounts is so annoying.

Where is Amy Teague at ??? This place use to run just fine when she was here the wait is awful they say there booked all week long this makes no since at all !!! Can’t even get an appointment people are walking out !!!The customer service isn’t good any more !!

Tracy Galloway is not only a helping hand but a blessing when it comes to helping others. I recently was dealing with a loan at coastal credit union in white oak and Ms.Galloway added the personal touch that every business needs. She was patient, kind, and very informative. I could not be more thankful for all the help and patience she had when overseeing my account. If I ever need a car loan again, I know who I’m going to call. Thank you Tracy for being you!

I made a mistake of making two payments on a loan. I called my bank to have one returned. Coastal denied the one my bank put in for a return. Why would they do that?? It was my money and it should not have been denied!!

This place is just frustrating to visit. I have a car loan through Coastal, and this is the nearest branch at ~20 minutes away. Everything has to be done through an ATM, which is absurd when I'm physically in your bank. Every time I come in, something is wrong with the machines, or a bill isn't fresh of the press so it gets refused. Then, when that happens, I can't just exchange it because this "bank" has no money on hand? I refuse to do any banking with Costal, and will be refinancing my car as soon as I can. This isn't how you treat customers. Two stars only because the teleconference tellers are quite polite and professional, the only redeeming quality of this bank.

They will deactivate your debit card if you don't use it very often.This is not good if you don't use it very often.Will be closing my account

By far the easiest and quickest with processing our not one but two loans this year. Our loan agent Kevin was so kind and beyond patient with us. Hence is why we worked with him both times. We will defintely return for any future loans/banking with CCU. We use the app to pay our loans, this is super convenient and hassle free. Kevin also went above and beyond helping us set this up by providing thorough instructions and answering any questions promptly.

I felt I had to leave a review with all of the negative reviews, since my experience was overall pleasant. I had to stop by this branch to have a new card cut since mine was taking too long in the mail. The lady at the front desk was upbeat and polite and I was able to get in and out quicker than anticipated. So much better than the service we received with our last bank where any branch visit was an extended trip.

Love this place AND there's ease of mind knowing this place literally can not and has never been robbed. Not to mention being able to bank with a live person from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week.

Went in because I had an issue with a credit card that I was approved for and could not reach anyone from the Digital Applications Support Team. My issue was solved in less than 10 minutes and now I just have to wait for the card to come in. Great job, will be coming in for any issues going forward!

Only a month and trying to make a car payment and issues already. I don’t have time to go to a branch and this is a issue for me. Now going to have to be late for my job cause your app doesn’t work. Get with it. No I will NOT change my one star review.

I want to love my credit union, I had never had a problem with them until I was laid off drying the initial shutdown. I'm a service industry employee that was laid off. They took what little money I had left and applied it to my loan I have though them. They eventually allowed deferred payments to those effected by the pandemic. One year later they cancelled my debit card without notifying me causing me to bounce many transaction when I paid my monthly bills they gave me the returned check fees back but I was still screwed with late fees from the bills I paid. I got Covid again a few months ago as did my baby and I was out of work for a few weeks. It all caught up to me this month and when I called about deferring aunt ta they say it takes up to 72 hours. By that time they had already taken my ENTIRE paycheck for the month of April and applied it to my loan. I was left with 18 dollars and I don't get paid again until May 1st. They even took the payment that was due that day even though I have a few days to pay it before it's late. Now I have no gas money to get to work and back. I'm closing my checking account with them because even though I'm hardly ever late on my bills, I cannot let this happen again.

Currently on the phone on hold hoping SOMEONE at this credit union finds my money. I've only been with this credit union for about a month because I just moved here from out of state and I prefer utilizing local businesses. I went to the Garner location to deposit cash but had no idea that NOWHERE are there actual people at a teller to give cash to. First, I have to use a machine that connects me with a person in some other location. This person tells me that the machine can only take 30 bills at a time so my cash deposit is split into thirds. Then after I send the second set of bills through the machine, something goes wrong and I lose the person I was talking to. Mind you, I deposited cash, yet because THEIR system lost me before the transaction was done, I didn't have a receipt. Then, when I got someone on this machine again, I complete my last third of my money sending it through the machine because they tell me that shortly they will have my other money deposited correctly. Eventually they tell me they have it corrected and posted to my account. I go to the one person at a desk in that location and he prints me out a little statement and yes, it shows my deposit. I leave thinking everything is OK. Imagine my surprise just now when I login finally (app wasn't working earlier) and my money is GONE AGAIN!. The person on the phone assures me that it will be fixed tonight. I'm not so sure. If this issue is fixed and stays fixed for awhile, I will change my review. However, I will be finding another bank for sure because this experience has been horrible.
