About Garner Sports League
Garner Sports League offers a fantastic experience for families, particularly in their 8u baseball program, where the atmosphere is both challenging and supportive. Coaches and families create a fun environment, regardless of the game's outcome, with special recognition for the passionate and knowledgeable umpire who enhances the season with teachable moments. The park itself is beautiful and spacious, featuring baseball fields, a dog park, playground, pavilion, hiking trails, paved roads, and parking. It is clean and great for picnics or kids' activities, making it a popular spot for local families and visitors alike. Some areas of the hiking trails could benefit from better trail markers, but overall, it remains a recommended destination for exploration and enjoyment.
We had a fantastic experience in 8u baseball. Games were fun whether we won or lost. Families and coaches kept the atmosphere challenging and supportive. Special shout out to our umpire, David! Great local park for the kids or a picnic located in Historic Garner. Also, there's a Dog Park adjacent. Good spot for trainspotting, too.
