Make sure to bring your own insurance back up and documents, their system fails to properly check covered services and they offer no help to correct their error or no sympathy for their error.

Terrible customer service. Store manager is rude and condescending. If you value your time and money, keep looking and spend your money somewhere you’ll be treated with respect.

It's my first time in this place, I really recommend it. excellent service and friendliness. It is difficult to find a good doctor who answers all your questions in a good mood. ??

Very poor customer service. I came in to shop around for glasses and to schedule an appointment. Nobody spoke to me. There were two ladies working they looked at the door and then continued their conversation. As if I was bothering them. I walked around for a few minutes thinking surely they’ll address me. Nothing. No hello are you looking for something; do you have an appointment. NOTHING! I will never spend my money where it’s not wanted. Someone actually told me about this place but told me t go to brier creek. I thought well I live in Garner…Don’t waste your time.

The absolute worst eye doctor around , if I could give them a half star I would. I went there a few years ago took a eye exam the first time they did a pressure test told me I had glaucoma in my eyes or they say , so I took drops did a few other routine eye procedures I did happen to purchase their cheap garbage glasses that kept falling apart well over priced!! Well I went there for a few months and took another eye exam and pressure test and the morons didn't even let me know of my results but they claimed I had glaucoma why they never called me back and kept me informed I don't know.. Take my word for it they are very overpriced all they care about is robbing your insurance company some kind of way to treat a customer!! But that's OK I found a lot better place that sells quality glasses that don't fall apart...

I had an appointment in Garner NC today at 9:30EST. The address via Waze took me to a different location which causes me to be more than 20 minutes late and the Dr wouldn’t see me. According to the receptionist this has been an ongoing problem “depending on your search option”. I had this scheduled for over a month because they’re so backed up and then to have them knowledgeable to the fact that the address is not navigating me and they cancelled me, made me very upset. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I will not. I will never go to My Eye Dr again because of this and I have red carpet insurance!! I will ensure my counter parts don’t either. I plan to send this on every social media to inform them that their address will lead you astray and they know it!

I have been visiting this location for almost 8 years and the front office staff has changed, much like most offices due to staffing constraints, life, business, etc. Dr. Allard has been a constant and is by far one of the best optometrist I have met on top of being a super genuine person that exhibits passion for his profession.I have spent quite a deal of time and money in this location and am sad to write this review all because of one individual. The office manager, who I have encountered a handful of times now, is a terrible representation of what the customer service is like for this business. He is rude and assuming that he talks to the other employees in any way that I was addressed and cut off when speaking yesterday, would be why the climate of the business has changed and seems like a stale place to work. If the manager talks to customers as though they are ignorant and unintelligent, I can only imagine how the employees must feel that are forced to work under him as instructed each day.I left with a sour taste in my mouth and refuse to spend another dollar here purchasing contacts or glasses. I will continue to get my annual eye exam each year with Dr. Allard, but the office manager could use a customer service refresher.

The staff was nice, punctual, and the doctor was also helpful, which would warrant a 5-star evaluation for this aspect, if it were not for my bad experience with what seemed to me to be dishonest. During my recent vision exam with My Eye Dr, I was informed during the pre-evaluation that the contact lens fit test would cost $40. However, when I received the bill, I was shocked to see that I was charged $112.50 for the same test, even though my insurance plan covered only $12.50. I felt misled and deceived by this practice, which amounts to illegal bundling sales. Even after I complained that this was not the price I was informed of and spoke to the manager, they could not help. The manager even suggested that I could return the lenses and they would withdraw my lens prescription if I did not want to pay for it.By the way, they would sell me the same brand and type of lens for one year for $290 (with insurance it would cost me $115) meaning that one pair of lenses actually costs $24 without any insurance.I strongly advise anyone considering using My Eye Dr to be aware of this dishonest practice and to be cautious before agreeing to any additional tests or services. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and honesty from this provider and hope that they will rectify this issue to prevent other customers from suffering the same experience.

Dr Allard is the best eye doctor I’ve ever seen, hands down. He is friendly and down to earth and truly cares about patients and their vision. His staff are very kind and respectful. They must treat their employees well because everyone in that office seems happy to be there and happy to help patients and that is very refreshing in this day and age. I got glasses last year for the first time (age-related changes! lol) and decided to get contacts this year and it was a great experience. They taught me how to put them in and take them out, and they were very patient with me despite it taking me a while to figure out how to put them in. Fabulous eye clinic, I highly recommend Dr Allard and his staff!

I’ve been coming to this location for quite some time now, as the staff and Dr. Allard have all been great! Starting this off by saying everyone that I’ve encountered has been great! But how the situation was handled today I’m a little disappointed. I’ve recently lost weight so my frames had become loose(they’re less than 2 years old), Dr. Allard told me not a problem the tech can tighten them. The tech who helped me 9/2 said he would be it slipped both our minds and was forgotten about! No biggy, I was coming back to get my new ones. As most people who wear glasses they keep their older as a back up. Went in today 9/27 to pick up my new frames and asked the tech to tighten my old ones! Reiterating again, she was so kind and helpful through the whole interaction, she took my glasses, didn’t ask how old they were, or say hey there’s a chance these could break, nothing. She came back out and told me she had broke the frames! Was very apologetic, I understand accidents happen. But she then told me that I could get a new frame to replace the broken ones but I would have to pay 50% of the replacement frames! Why should I have to pay for ANOTHER pair of frames when I didn’t break them!? Or be warned they could break? Customer service was fine, like I said interaction was fine but I don’t agree with how the situation was handled as I shouldn’t be responsible for dishing out more money for a mistake I didn’t make.Editing to add I was pleased with the solution! Went in to get my replacement and David was super helpful! And Mia at Patient Relations was great as well!

What started out as a good experience with Dr. Allard and his assistant in their knowledgeable, thorough eye exam and friendly demeanors quickly turned into a nightmare when having to deal with his lying, cheating, dishonest front-end staff. Unfortunately, most of the poor reviews regarding this office seem to allude to the fact that Dr. Allard's proficiency is constantly overshadowed by his incompetent staff because as we all know, you're only as strong as your weakest link. My husband and I finished our eye exams at 7:00 p.m. - closing time. We were met by a middle-aged, chubby blonde lady to pick out glasses. We asked if we could return the next day as it was closing time, and we didn't want to feel rushed and we had our child with us. She said, "No. This is part of your appointment, and you need to do it now because I have all your info in hand." I explained that I didn't plan to fill my prescription at this facility because I had frames picked out elsewhere. She proceeded to pressure both of us to get something even though neither of us were thrilled with the selection. (At this point, the doors were locked, and we were not going to be able to leave unless we made eyeglass purchases). She assured us that our happiness is their priority and if we are unhappy with our selection after we receive it, they will bend over backwards to make it right. We settled on frames we didn't like just so we could get out of there. I was clearly in distress at this point and my husband tried one last time, "Look, she really doesn't like these frames can you just put this process on pause and let her think about it?" Her reply, "No, it's already processed." Then she looked at me and said, "You really are overthinking this." $700.00 later we left shocked and feeling like we were just scammed out of a lot of money. Only after the fact did we learn about The Eyeglass Rule implemented by the Federal Trade Commission which LEGALLY requires doctors to provide patients with their prescription immediately after their exam and prohibits prescribers from requiring patients to buy eyeglasses to receive their prescription. Ironically, we were never given any discharge paperwork until the glasses were paid for as everything was printed on the same receipt! When we got the text to get the glasses, we were hoping to explain our harrowing experience and see if we could get a full refund, after all, our happiness is their priority. In reviewing our purchase with a different associate, we learned that chubby blonde lady ordered the most expensive lenses they had and failed to give me any of the other options as she LEGALLY should have. I would never have ordered premium lenses if given the choice. When asked if they work on commission the answer was YES and that's when it all started to make sense. Enter the "General Manager" Jonathan Millwood, to further add to the nightmare. He has no conscience much less people skills to mediate any situation and used his big bad bully size to shoo us away with no fair options or a resolution. To say I am traumatized by this experience is an understatement! I don't know how any doctor with an ounce of integrity could stand behind staff who lie, cheat and bully customers the way they do just for the sake of their commission. I feel sorry for Dr. Allard. I cannot recommend his services based solely on his deplorable staff.

I have been to several my eye Dr’s and they have all be wonderful experiences. The staff here was not accommodating and very rude after I called confused. The basic knowledge that should be consistant among all my eye Dr seemed to be lacking here. They claimed they did not take my insurance when I called my insurance to confirm that they are in fact, in network.I called this store back and they continued to claim I was not in network.I then called a different my eye Dr 15 minutes down the street and they confirmed my insurance is taken by my eye Dr and got me scheduled.Waiting weeks for an appointment to show up and be told you aren’t in network when I am in fact in network is extremely frustrating and my eye Dr needs to better supply this information to each branch.
