January 2024 by Jennifer P.
I had a broke tooth and had pain in my jaw and ear. I wanted the tooth extracted. It took me 2 days to get anyone on the phone b/c they wouldnt answer. Then when I finally got someone, she acted as if she didnt want to be there or something. She was short and wouldnt give me a chance to tell her everything and she scheduled me in for January 31. By then I would have a full blown infection. Then they called me b/c they had to change my appointment to February 2. Also it is like a sales team at Aspen Dental. I asked for prices on dentures and partial. They completely ignored that and gave me quotes on implants and a bridge. I cant afford that. I told them that. They didnt seem to mind

I came to aspen bc this is where I reside. The staff that are sitting in the front continue carrying their conversation with out even taking a brief moment to say "good morning" or anything. I explained that my existing dentures were from affordable dentures and I had them 19+ years. I went on saying that I dropped them several occasions and didn't damaged them probably because they were of very good materials. After she made it sound as if I broke them she then said that she would give me a break by taking them to change for a better material. I will never go back to this place.

Well, out the door I’m terrified of dentists so just getting me to come in is big. But, once I got there the employees of Aspen dental were gentle, professional and genuinely wanted to help. They made everything as easy as possible and always made sure I was never in pain! Their financial department made me feel at ease with the options they offered for fast and affordable dental care!! Thank you all so much!! I promise I won’t miss another appt ?

All of the people and Dr. B. were very nice and respectful. Dr. B. must have assumed my wife and I were wealthy,on the contrary. I went to Aspen to get a reasonable price quote for upper and lower dentures so I thought. If Aspen thinks 39000.00 dollars for top shelf teeth is all right by them, they need their head examined. If that wasn't enough the estimate for basic dentures was 8-10,000 dollars. Aspen, get off your high horse. America is not wealthy anymore. Not us anyway! Oh, by the way, 3-d printing should not drive the cost of replacement teeth higher, 3-d printing drives the overall cost down. Stop leaning on that b/s. Thanks for being nice to us, can't take that away. Paul and Candy Taylor

My wife has been having extreme tooth pain for over a week. The Aspen Dental staff in Gastonia, NC was very courteous and helpful in getting her in today. The did all the necessary x-rays and checks for the doctor to review for a possible root canal. Only place within driving distance for her. Greatful for the help!!

Aspen Dental is awesome!! They listen to you. They will take care of you. They will make sure your teeth are healthy. And they will take care of everything in a timely matter. I recommended Aspen to my family and they are scheduling. Aspen is GREAT!! And one more thing about Aspen, they will not hurt you. I've had work done and didn't need anything for pain even after the numbness was gone. Highly recommend Aspen Dental.

I went here today for an infected tooth with pain and swelling. The techs and Dr were a great help in determining what was needed and gave me a script for meds to take care of the infection. Going back next week to have the problem tooth extracted.

Do not waste your time or money going to Apen Dentals. Paid for top of line dentures, I kid you not they have broken at least 30 times. Finally after almost 2 years they decide to have them sent out for more durable material. Owner by the way states they keep breaking on how my husband is chewing and he should learn to eat differently (how is that possible????) My husband feels like he got cheap dentures but I paid for top of the line. My mom has had her set up dentures for 50 plus years and have never broken. Lincolnton office is no better, went there for repair and they did not even let him try them on to see if they felt good, had them in a bag and told him to go to Gastonia if problems.

Probably the worst dental office I’ve been to. They don’t take the initiative with what they promise to patients. You can forget getting a call back too like they promise. Such a disgrace to the patient. You won’t get quality of care you deserve and pay for.

Went in there since they are convenient to my job. It was my first appointment. They took a bunch of x-rays and when the hygienist came in, they said that I had periodontal issues which makes sense since I had some gum repair last year. My previous dentist who is now too far away told me the same when they measured my gums last year. When I got my teeth cleaned last year by the prior dentist, it was a deep cleaning and I went to a periodontist. With the same insurance as I have now, it was less than $300 for everything. The hygienist was promoting all these things today and felt like a fancy sales pitch. The dentist was nice and was honest. I was then told to wait in a "lounge". Another person took me in their office and reviewed pricing- from what the hygienist was saying as it seemed like a very involved treatment, I knew it wouldn't be completely covered by insurance as my treatment at my old dentist and periodontist were not fully covered last year either, but they quoted me as my responsibility would be over $1300 (the total treatment before insurance, etc was over $2900). They offered financing, but I declined totally. I asked about a basic cleaning and they refused saying with the periodontal issues, I'd need to pay the $1300 to get a periodontal cleaning- could not get a regular cleaning or partially covered deep clean like I had last year. As I said, I had a deep cleaning last year and met for a gum procedure with periodontist and all that was maybe $300 tops. Once they refused to do a cleaning, etc today, the person who presented me with the quotes was toooo eager to get me out the front door. I was not pleased and never heard of having to get a specific high-end treatment or nothing!

Both locations are terrible with pricing. They apparently never have the staff to be an emergency dentist so don’t understand why they’re telling people they are. Husband had a dental appointment today after doing exactly as he was told he comes back to this office to get a tooth pulled he is in excruciating pain blood pressure in the triple digits they do absolutely nothing no antibiotics or nothing. All he wanted was the tooth pulled they tell him that even after his insurance and supposedly a in network discount with insurance it would cost 9000 because they apparently have to clean them again after cleaning them the week prior. Then to get it pulled and not pulled today it would cost $600 after telling him to come in and handle it today that even if he went ahead and paid the money today it wouldn’t be until they have availability to pull it after he was distinctively told on the phone not to worry they will pull the tooth and everything today. They are just a money hungry company that lies to their patients . This is us giving them their 3rd chance FYI we just wanted a tooth pulled that’s it how hard it that. It’s a big money scheme he didn’t come there to talk about any other problems he done that last visit this visit is for pulling his tooth!! Y’all should be ashamed seeing a man walk away in pain after lying to him and seeing how high his blood pressure is. Terrible company.
