I have to admit there are a lot of bad reviews for this branch but I had a great experience visiting today to deposit a check I could not do on my phone app and get a legal document notarized on a very busy Friday. They are top notch people that are working with limited labor. I’ve learned to be patient and make sure people are recognized for trying to improve their service.

Bank of America teller #00991 doesn't know the in's & out's of BofA ATM & mobile banking systems. The teller told me I could use ATM or mobile to deposit the money order...that is not even possible. You must go into the bank to deposit money orders!!!

I had filed a debt card dispute where a vendor over charged me $1,470.00. The $ was placed back in my account, but than the claim number 210617506316 was closed before they even requested any information from myself or the merchant wich doesn't dispute the mistake. I was told I had to "FAX PRINT OUTS FROM MY ON LINE BANKING RECORDS TO THE DISPUTE DEPARTMENT TO REOPEN AND NOT LOSE THE $ DUE TO THE TIME. NO E MAIL DUE TO SECURTY MUST BE A FAX FROM THE BANK. I am disabled have COVID, and explained it all saying g thats very hard its a city away. They said " I HAD TO OR LOSE THE $1,470.00 no matter whos falt closing it was. I went 1st day it closed early. 2nd day it was open. They were nice, let me explain the situation, told them I had COVID. to be safe, the dispute supervisor Alexander with the APS code (ZKHGU14) made me come or loose the $1,470.00 & he was going to contact them explaining the promblem after our 3 hour phone call the night b4. So it would be easy and them prepared. They took the 5 documents, ask if I wanted a face mask I explained im can't breath through it with COVID & COPD. She ask me to step in a office, wich i did all was pleasant I thought. She took the forms. I sat & almost fell a sleep in there. Suddenly a police said " get out of here whats wrong with you coming in here with covid. He chose more unpleasant lounge, to the point i knew not to even ask what happen, try to explain. In Gastonia you can be told by police " yeh I don't know what charges yet, ill figure some out and you may beat them. It will cost you $$$ even innocent, ." I have had several arrest never been convicted just like they will say." So I left ? I CALLED BACK TO DISPUTE CENTER & I CANT GET ALEXANDER ON THE PHONE NO ONE KNOWS HOW I CAN GET THIS DONE NOT GOING BACK TO THE BANK. , I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE CASE # 210715CR0046933 & 3 MORE" STILL LOOSONG MY $1,470.00 TONIGHT THOUGH. I COULDNT EVEN GET MY $ OUT THE MANGER REFUSED TO RAISE MY LIMIT TO GET IT ALL, AFTER CALLING COPS TO MAKE ME LEAVE B4 EVEN SAYING THERES A PROMBLEM AND SAY COME BACK TOMORROW RO BE PROMBLEM. I went to deposit my check on April 26 2021 of $3516.60 and on April 28 2021 the stole $500 from my account saying that the check was for $3,016.60. Well the check WAS for $3,516.60 and not like they are claiming, I even call my work and they said that they did withdraw $3,516.60 from his account. They are really trying to steal from people, I will file a complaint with BBB and if they don’t return my money they will have another lawsuit.

An absolute joke of a bank concerning customer service!!! Lots of employees walking around socializing and nobody doing any work!! Stood in line for 20 minutes inside..

Only BOA open in Gaston County and there’s no social distancing when the bank is always full and not enough tellers so you’re in the bank WAY TOO LONG. OPEN THE OTHER BRANCHES. Or at least open the drive through. Absolutely ridiculous.

I just attempted to call the New Hope Gastonia location and was greeted on the phone by Charlene (hopefully spelled correct). After asking for her assistance and finding out, like the 1-800 number, she cannot help unless I am there. OK, I told here I would try and get up there soon, and shared with her how the phone system could use some humanization...she informed me that we were in a pandemic...…and abruptly hung up on me! mmmmmm….Customer service score-0The one star above isn't deserved but you have to give them something or else you cannot share your horrible and disrespectful interaction with them.Joe
