Beware: Purchasing a RAM truck at Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership (NC) almost cost me my life, but who cares? On 11/04/23 I purchased a brand new 2024 RAM 1500 LIMITED CREW CAB 4X4 at Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership. 2 hours later on a way home to Wilmington, NC, the truck's computer system, battery and motor crashed, while going at 70mph on a busy highway. The steering wheel got stuck. Luckily for me there were no vehicles in the right lane at that moment and I managed to roll the truck to the shoulder. All systems were completely down, including the hazard lights. The vehicle was completely dark. It was a life-threatening situation, followed by a more dangerous side of the road location of the vehicle.I called Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership (NC) right away to inform them about the incident, and ask for their help. They provided me with the roadside assistance phone number to call, and that was all they did. Nobody called me to see if I was all right after that. My wife also left a message and received no response.I called the number as instructed, expecting to get a tow truck within minutes. After several attempts and 5 hours long of discussions with several different representatives, as well as credit card payment for the tow service to the nearest dealership in Fayetteville, NC, the tow truck finally appeared. I was towed to Fayetteville Dodge Dealership. My life was at risk for 5 hours on a side of the highway, and I did not call 911 because all the time I was promised that the tow truck 'was coming soon'.The disabled brand new truck is currently at the Fayetteville Dodge dealership, and the team there is still trying to revive it 18 days later.Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership is aware of the situation (after I alerted them to it), but disenfranchised themselves from DODGE RAM CHRYSLER manufacturing and said that we should deal with the manufacturer directly and that Gastonia Dodge dealership "does not represent Dodge RAM Chrysler, and just sell vehicles."The vehicle they sold me was compromised, but they take no ownership of that, citing alleged 'manufacture's defect'.The general manager Rob Terry was copied on all email correspondence with Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, but never reached out to me.The dealership was greatly concerned about the review I should leave them. While I was finalizing the purchase, I was pushed to sign a paper saying that they were amazing, including after-sale service calls in the future. Also, just so you aware, the 'bulid-my-deal' tab on Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram website is a total joke. It gives you incorrect quote and when you present it to the salesperson (Brad Smith in my case), you are ridiculed and asked to 'have realistic expectations' in an unkind manner. It will also be alleged that you manipulated the website to get that quote. When the screenshots were presented and the issue was raised to the Manager's level (Donnie Reynolds), the explanation came that Gastonia Dodge had to use a third party calculator on their website, and indeed it was giving incorrect information, but they were not responsible for that. This is misleading to the customers, and the rude attitude was uncalled for.As of right now, November 22, 2023, on a verge of Thanksgiving, I know who I am not grateful to this year. The bottom line is: 3 weeks ago I spent 100K on a brand new truck, and I still do not have a vehicle to drive. More so, to this day, I have not received a welcome letter from Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram notifying me of who my lender is, and where to send my payments to. I also still do not have my registration, although all applicable fees were paid at the dealership. If I could give negative stars today, I would. My experience with Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership left me with no respect for Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram family of brands, and I won't recommend anyone to buy a RAM truck.

Let me start with these people are scammers. They charge people 3x more than anywhere else. They will lie to get more money from you. They told me my power steering with crushed by motor but that was a lie. It took almost a week to get a call back from anybody up there. And then they told me my parts weren't in yet even though my parts were sitting back in the back. My service advisor was Haley but of course she wasn't there the whole time my car was being serviced. I dealt with Sherard the service manager. Which he wasn't much help either. I finally got a hold of him and he wanted to say it was unacceptable for nobody to call me back for a week when it was him who wasn't calling me back. I will never bring my car back to the dealership again. My power steering pump was not the problem. They just wanted money from me. $4,000 to be exact. Which I'm only paying $2,000 for the repairs that I need done. I had a better experience through Nissan than I did with you guys. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about I grew up with a mechanic so don't sit there and act like every woman out there is about as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to cars because we're not. Stop trying to take advantage of people. NEVER AGAIN.

Pulling in to Gastonia CDJR, I received a great first impression from Donte. Donte pointed me in the right direction for what I needed in a truck. After searching through a great selection of new and used trucks, I found the Ram 1500 for me! Donte then handed me off to Mariana, whom sat with me going over every detail and function of my choice in truck. answering every question I had, and coming from a Forte, I had a few! When the time came to settle down and make commitments, Joe came by to ensure the process went as smoothly and gratifying as possible! From top down, these ladies and gentlemen were professional, courteous, and not willing to give up. With that they will earn me and my families business for years to come!

Customer service is unsurpassed in the service department. Can't speak for sales department they could use considerable improvement. I guess they try to make up for what they lack with their sales men attitudes by offering complimentary drinks, snacks, freshly made cookies and coffee. Other dealerships don't offer those things except for purchase. However, Buyers beware their transmission technicians are always backed up for 2 weeks. That should speak volumes about the lousy vehicles Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram are. Their transmissions go out at around 100,000 miles (sometimes even at 90,000 miles).

since going under new management you can just feel the atmosphere change. everyone is always upbeat and friendly and the service department is one of the nicer ones I've been to. If you ever need to call to make a service appointment I spoke to an amazing gentleman named Dijon or Dion something like that he was very friendly and accomadaating of getting me in that day! even was able to get me a loaner to drive. I will say yes sometimes it's a long wait or they might be booked out but if you call an ask for him he will make sure you get in there and taken care of. great service department even better sales department. Just bring back the cookies lol

Bought a 2013 challenger 392 here about two years ago. Typical numbers difference between what was told over the phone and when you actually get there. Almost walked away but somehow made a sale. Come to find out the dash lights don't come in at night. They have a weird policy that if it has a V8 and you drove it off the lot we give you no support at all. Nobody does that. This means no warranty at all for anything with a V8. This should be your big red flag right there. They send an email about trying to buy it back, I say I'm over an hour away, just give me the price. They made me drive all that way and waste my gas for the smallest offer I've got yet. They also would do nothing about the broken nighttime dash lights or the broken second key fob. Wouldn't even comp me for the gas for wasting my time. Please, go anywhere else but here. Typical dealership experience.

First of all the service team @ this dealership is GREAT, but beware of sales department....they will send you notifications that offer up over KBB value for your trade, but it's actually much lower and a waste of valuable time.

I wanted to share the experience my fiancé and I had on Saturday, September 2nd. We went in looking for a specific truck with the vin number and stock number. We were greeted by what appeared to be a newer sales person. While we waited for her to bring out the keys so we could drive the truck, we had a great conversation with another salesperson, Michael Pearce. Once our sales person returned, she said a sales manager was coming to speak with us. His name was Oscar Ramirez (we believe) and was very interested in getting us to commit to buying the truck before we had even sat in. While he was doing this, another sales person, Mariana Ruiz, came up to our sales person and took the keys to the truck and let her customers get in the truck before us because Oscar was more concerned about closing a deal before he had a deal. Oscar continued to talk to give Mariana’s customer’s plenty of time to look at the truck. We stood there and watched them in the truck, rev the engine, etc.., knowing we had every intention of buying the truck. I asked our salesperson to have them move on so we could drive the truck since we were told it was our deal because the keys were pulled for us first. They stayed in the truck. We walked away to their surprise and will find another dealers hip to spend $55k on a truck. Do better Gastonia Chrysler Jeep. If you do buy a car there, ask for Michael, I can read people well and he is a good guy and is also a minister.

Purchasing a vehicle was never easier. I was in and out in less than an hour.Unfortunately that’s where the good experiences here end. The day after purchase I noticed the drivers side door didn’t line up quite right, called and was told to bring it in.Was advised they lacked the tools/knowledge to fix and would have to outsource but could not provide a loaner. So I just dealt with it.I’ve come four times for an oil change and every single time it’s a 3+ hour wait. Regardless of when I’ve shown up. And you can’t pre-schedule an appointment for that.Recall appointments are weeks out with no loaner available.Rob Terry should be ashamed with the way this dealership is run. Incredibly disappointing and really turning me off the keep brand of this is the level of service I can expect.

I went to this dealership today to purchase a Charger that was advertised on their website, the salesman was very nice. He asked if we wanted to test drive the car and we said yes, he told us he would be right back with the plate. When he came back he informed us that the manager would not let us drive the car until we were "qualified" and the price would be $15,000 over sticker price. I was shocked and politely told the salesman we wouldn not be purchasing a car from this dealership. It's really hard for me to believe you can operate that way and still have customers. Had the manager come out and had a professional conversation with me and explained the decision I would have been fine. Worst experience I've had at a car dealership ever.

Great interaction with service team today, went in for a routine oil change/service and the tech found an issue with the transmission. The resolution will require a transmission replacement (under warranty) which could have led to expensive repairs down the road (possibly on my dime). Big shout out to service advisor Josh and the service manager I spoke with (sorry I didn't remember his name). Both were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond.

I worked with Oliver, and even though we couldn’t strike a deal to no fault of his own, he was superb. I recommend seeing Oliver. He’s a fantastic young man who truly will do whatever it takes to get you in a vehicle that’s right for you, at the right payment for you. I do plan on working with him in the near future!

I purchase my Jeep from Gastonia Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in December. The sale and the trade-in was a pleasure. Had my first service last week and it was easy to make a convenient appointment, to sign in and to pick up my car when promised. All of the work was done properly and I have no complaints.

Great service and great people. After having my car less than 12 hours I noticed the A/C was not working correctly. Even though I bought my car as is, they were extremely helpful and made sure to fix the A/C at no cost to me. I could not be more happy and thankful to Brad Smith for all of his help! If you are looking for a new or used vehicle, this is the place to go!
