“It's always a challenge playing a course for the first time. Gaston Cc is an old school course - meaning traditional and well designed. It is well maintained with a professional courteous staff. I sincerely appreciate the communication I received in my visit to this "Private Club." However, I did not realize that I was paired with Royalty and the founders of the club until afterwards. Samantha, their membership director made me aware of my partner's status. When asking the line of a blind tee shot, Mr. Gray instructed me to (go ahead) and hit the shot. I replied, I can do that, and hit the shot on the perfect line. The Gray brothers (founders of Gaston Cc) are great putters. They had a fifty plus years advantage of experience on me...Lol. I had been putting on aerated slow greens in Roanoke, Va for two months, so it was different to say the least. The highlight was a hole in one on #11. I enjoyed his company talking about horses, his swing plan, wild hogs and the two beers he bought. Sorry, I can't recall his name at the moment. Highly recommend Gaston Cc! The practice area, dining area and atmosphere is great. I wish I could afford it. Don Portis”

“i really like this ranch! I've been taking horse riding lessons for a month now. my counselor Emily is amazing! her knowledge of horses is immense. she's fun, comfortable and relatable. she's always checking on my well being and ensuring my safety from start of lesson till end. i feel heard and acknowledged. i have learned so much! i have no history with horses, but the horses look healthy and comfortable as far as i can contend. the property is nice and well maintained. i recommend this ranch.”

“The absolute worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Beds were worn out, pillows smelled like maple syrup, carpet plum nasty, moldy bathroom, lamps didn’t work, funky musky smell and then in the middle of the night when “trying” to sleep someone banged on our door and runs off laughing. Which caused me to get up and write this review immediately. I wish I had never stayed. Then walking to the car earlier, some man jumps out his car running towards me. I had to jump in my car, lock the doors and fly off! Never Ever Again!!!”
