My sister and I went looking for a new vehicle. We stopped at Matthews (the extra lot by the News Argus with the older cars) and although we did not choose to buy a vehicle there, I wanted to post a review. I cannot remember the lady's name who helped us- I do remember she was the lady in charge at that lot. She was incredible. After a terrible experience at another lot where the guy was so pushy and inconsiderate, she was a breath of fresh air. She was not overly pushy, she was honest, up front and so easy to deal with. I would DEFINITELY go back to buy a car specifically because of HER. She deserves a raise. Sorry I can't remember your name sweet lady, but if you helped two women and a teenager this past weekend, I am talking about you. Thank you again for being so sweet. We really appreciated it.

I purchased a vehicle with Matthew motor sports today I had the pleasure of working with Chris Etheridge he has gone above and beyond to help me out he helped me explore every option I had as far as financing so when I finally made it to the dealership he had everything I needed ready for me! This was by far the easiest car purchase I’ve made and Chris left no questions unanswered! Thank you for all your help!

I brought a car from them last year. Let’s just say it’s been in the shop more than out of it. 2 weeks after getting the car it broke down. Then 1 month after that Thanksgiving. On my way to spend my first thanksgiving with my fence. Car broke down. I mean the engine just up and stoped while i was driving on the road. I ended up having thanksgiving with strangers. Then my husband and I got married a month after that and the car broke down again. The car was in the shop for 2 months! They would not call us to tell us the car was ready. They give you no updates you have to call them. So my husband went up there to pick up the car he took an Uber up there when he got up there after they said the car was ready to be picked up the car would not start we had to leave it there and i had to drive and hour and a half backup there to get my husband and drive and hour and a half back home. Today the car broke down again. I can’t warn you enough to stay away from this place! Please go somewhere else and get a car!

Chris is my salesmen. I haven’t purchased a car yet from Matthews Motors but the team has been very patient with me. No one’s perfect of course but they have assisted me throughout my buying experience. I’m not a fast shopper. Although I haven’t purchased a car yet they have maintained a good amount of professionalism throughout.

Communication issues beyond communication issues! First, my husband and I were told we were approved for a loan after applying on their website, so we made an appointment to discuss our options. Once there, we were looked at like we were crazy and said we were never approved and that we either needed a co signer or needed to put $1500-2000 down, okay no problem. 2 weeks later, we were interested in trading in our paid off car and was told even after trading in our car, we would still need to put $3000 down and a co signer after their manager “reviewed” our application. WHAT?! Mind you, the issue isn’t the down payment or co signer, it’s the miscommunication!!!! Overall they are nice.

I had to stop and leave a review for the Matthew's Motors. We had the privilege to work with Chris Etheridge. Chris went above and beyond to make sure we got the car that we needed. This is the first time I shopped with Matthew's Motors and have to say that I will never even think about going anywhere else to purchase a car. If I hear anybody talking about needing a car, I will give them the number for Chris Etheridge at Matthew's Motors and If he is not available I'm sure that any of the salesman will be able to help. Once again, Thank you to Chris Etheridge and Matthew's Motors for a great experience, and getting my family the most suitable car for our needs! FYI we purchased a 2018 Nissan Rugue.

I am very untrusting after getting sold a car with a bad transmission.. BUT Matthew's Motors is absolutely amazing!! Every one is so nice and funny. Chris was great!! The day after I bought my car it did have a small problem, I called took the car to them, they handed me keys for a different car to drive until mine was fixed..no problems at all!! Now I will be taking my 18 year old son to them in the next couple of months to get a car!!

I went in to get a trade in value for my car, they then just ran my credit without asking me before I was even told an amount for my vehicle.. they were nice though.

We sold my husband's 2019 Toyota Corolla last month and had a great experience despite going in thinking that we wouldn't break even. Their offer was extremely reasonable and they worked with us to make up the last bit still owed to the bank as we hadn't fully paid it off. No games, no haggling, no long-winded attempt at trying to talk me into anything I wasn't interested in. These people seemed extremely personable and kind and we will definitely be continuing our business there in the future. Thank you! Customers for life.

I would like to say this Matthew motors is really ridiculous. I was emailed by Cali I guess who’s a representative, I told her that I don’t want my information sent to any lenders, I don’t want anyone touching my credit. Her response was oh we won’t we would just see if we can assist you. She emailed me and said I sent you an application. I said I see it, she says go ahead and fill it out. I said to her now are you sure this will not touch my credit score this heifer went and put it through and it dinged my credit. I quickly called matthews motors up and they said there’s nothing they can do and they will talk to Cali. My response was what???? How is that going to help? I was mislead. I asked him what if the shoe was on the other foot. His response was I’ll take the ding on my credit. They are ridiculous now I have to dispute this off my credit. NEVER AGAIN!!! Matthew motors and Cali sucks!!!!

I had an appointment with Alex to test drive a 2018 Honda Accord LX with 59,077 miles listed for $21,488. When I got there Alex was busy with another customer so Ali was supposed to be "helping" me. The car I came to look at was stuck at a different lot so Ali put me in a 2021 Honda Accord Sport with 43,000 miles listed for $26,977. I drove it around the block and noticed the engine had a tick. With that and the fact that it was out of my budget for a USED car, I had already decided I wasn't getting that one. When we came back to the office Ali tried his best to push this vehicle off on me. I told him I did not want that one because it was out of my price range but he wouldn't take no for an answer. He kept pushing until I told him what I'd like for monthly payments. He was just also very rude and would hardly let you talk unless you were giving him a money figure. I brought my grandmother with me and any time she would try to speak he made comments that equaled up to just wanting her to shut up. I took my business to Deacon Jones Honda and bought a brand new Accord with a much nicer sales associate and better deal.
