Both techs were very friendly and explained what they were doing. Had to order a part so it took 2 appointments for the repair to be completed but was taken care of in a timely manner.Service: Refrigerator repair

I called Sears Appliance Repair on March 17, 2023. The customer service agent said there would be a $90.00 service charge. The dish washer repairman came on March 20, 2023. I told the repairman dishwasher was turning off mid cycle, he asked me about how long into washing, I told him it stopped about mid wash. The repairman turned on the dishwasher waited about twenty five minutes for dishwasher to turn off, it didn't. Repairman told me to buy different dishwasher detergent. He didnt get out diagnostic tools, take off dishwasher panel for diagnostics or anything, other than turning on dishwasher. He said $90 plus travel fee total $118. Customer service never mentioned a travel fee. I had another company come out. The repairman took dishwasher out, took off front panel and did diagnostics of the dishwasher's components. He was very professional and more reasonable than Sears for a service call. I will never call Sears again.I called Sears Appliance Service on March 20, 2022 requesting a refund since nothing was done to my dishwasher, other than turning it on and telling me to buy better detergent in approximately 30 minutes. The CS said he would send through for credit and it could take 30 days. As soon as I hung up I called my credit card company to dispute the charge too. A month later Sears rejected my dispute and has never contacted me back on crediting my account. Sears does not care about customers. No wonder the stores closed.Service: Dishwasher repair

Ice maker would not dump ice trays automatically, Tech showed up said it was a sensor on the ice maker, ordered and installed a new ice maker, did nothing to correct the issue. Tech said at this point it was probably the main control board and it would not be cost effective to repair that. Said I should just but an external ice machine until I replace the Refrigerator. So now I'm almost $400.00 out on a repair that did not work. Would have preferred that he remove the new unit and refunded me the cost of it since it was his mistake that it was ordered, but that was not the case. On the plus side the tech did show up on time.Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

* The technician was great and that is why I gave it three star's but the customer service is horrible. Nothing but chats and text messages. Sometimes you need to talk to a human being. Delivery of the part almost didn't happen because of freight company. It was a horrible experience all the way around.And it took longer than it had too!I will never buy another Kenmore product because of this ever!Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

The part replaced for my oven was not the same as the original part and I have lost a function of my stove. I wished I had been informed of this, I might have chose to replace the stove as repair cost was comparable to the cost to replace. Beware when calling to schedule service, you will be pressured to buy warranties and other services.Service: Oven repair

The technicians themselves are great but overall the experience with sears is not worth your time or money. The call center people messed up my appointment multiple times. Also their labor rate is very high so you can buy a new appliance for the price of a repair

Thank you Mr. Melvin for your prompt and courteous service. My husband and I appreciate your help.Our washer was not filling with water, we scheduled our appointment online and had a repairman out the next day. Not only did Mr. Melvin diagnose the problem, but he was able to repair the washer the same day.
