The staff really tried but old hotel. Rooms old and musty. TV was not working but staff came and fixed it for me. Coffee was watered down not great at all. Tub would not stay plugged to take a bath so had to stuff towel in it.

Roaches with baby roaches in tow!!! Do I really need to say anything more? I was in a 1 bedroom suite that had furniture that looked as if it came out the dumpster. The chair was on the floor with NO LEGS to it and severely stained. I do NOT recommend this hotel as it does NOT meet Marriott standards in my opinion. I am currently a Platinum Marriott member with 3 stays to go before hitting Titanium before the end of 2023.

My wife and I who are loyal Marriott members. She is a Platinum elite and I am a Lifetime titanium. We stayed at this property last night.as we entered the room we noticed several roaches scurrying across the counter. We subsequently changed rooms. However this morning when I went to complain to the manager I was treated as if I was a bum off of the street. I was not hostile nor threatening, but was firm in my stance. The Manager Tammy Cannon became extremely indignant. When I asked her why all of the attitude she then called for some guy named Mark who threatened me and told me to take a walk. It was a leave or else situation. I have never in my life had an experience such as this. I did not raise my raise my voice or escalate the situation in any way. I was then escorted off of the property by an older gentleman who was apologizing as he was walking me out of the door. All because I had complaints and questions. I am speechless. I will never stay in Goldsboro again. There were some obvious undertones that may have attributed to the hostile environment that was created by the GM during our conversation. I am on the phone with corporate now.

Fair accommodations. The area is lacking new/updated hotels, so this is actually just fine. Rooms are old, as is the furniture and free breakfast is highly organized to restrict just a bit too much. Staff is kind and helpful.Walkability: Not much to walk to.. maybe Outback steakhouse.

1 star is being generous, I stayed at this hotel on 11/27-11/30/2023. I am a long time Marriott Bonvoy member and travel exclusively with the Marriott brand. I have also used Marriott's event spaces and catering for a family celebrations. I am deeply saddened to submit this review for the worst experience and treatment from Marriott staff and accommodations. I am currently in grad school at East Carolina University and stayed at this location as it was close to my study group and clinical location. I booked my stay using the friends and family rate, I understand that upgrades and other perks are subjected to each individual hotel, however the treatment I received because I used this rate was shocking. I arrived on 11/27, after entering my room, I noticed the linen on my bed was dirty, there was hair in the bathtub and the carpet near my bed had stains that appeared to be emesis or something similar. I was exhausted so I used a clean towel as a shield and didn't complain. On the morning of 11/28 I asked the front desk morning staff to please add my room to be cleaned, I didn't make a big deal about it, since this was a rare occurrence. When I returned to my room that evening, my room was not cleaned, again I was too tired and didn't want to make a big deal (trying to be understanding) turned in early, the next day, on 11/29, I asked the front desk again to please add my room to be cleaned, I was assured again by the same staff member that my room would be cleaned, I was pleasantly surprised that the staff member addressed me by name. When I returned to my room that evening, my room appeared clean, as my bed was made, however, the same dirty sheets were on my bed, the trash was picked up and new towels were placed in the bathroom, but the tub was not cleaned, at this point and the carpet near my bed was still stained, I was checking out the next day, so i shrugged it off. On 11/30 my group was meeting for intense studying so I requested a late check out for 4pm, since I am a Titanium elite member, I was told that I can only be granted a 2pm late check out, because I used the friend/family rate per the general manager. During the morning I called the hotel to see if I would be granted the additional 2 hours for school since the hotel was not at capacity, I spoke to the front desk manager who reminded me that I used the friends and family discount, and that I was being rude, and she will report me for being rude. I was shocked, I was reprimanded in front of other guests, this was not only embarrassing, but humiliating. The front desk manager also told me that the staff told her that I was using the friends and family rate for work and that I am not able to use the friends and family rate for work purposes. I tried to explain that I was not there for work, but she didn't listen. When I tried to tell her that my room was never cleaned, she reminded me that I used the friends and family rate, and that I am representing Marriott and shouldn't complain. I will never use this location again. I left several messages for the general manager who never returned my call. I must submit that when I called Bonvoy customer service, the representative stayed on the phone with me while I checked out, and overheard the front desk manager reprimanding me, the customer service agent was very calming and offered to stay on the phone with me until I was back in my car. Despite being a loyal Marriott customer, this experience left a negative impact, and I do not plan on using this location again.

Great accommodations, service is a huge factor in my book and they knocked it out of the park. Especially the front desk guy named Max! Excellent character, and personality. Helped with much more than standard service, helped with locations on visits, restaurants. You name it Max is the guy to go to.

Clean Rooms, Friendly Guest Service, very close to Wal-Mart for out of town visitors. Just in case you need to pick up some food to cook in your room. My wife and I actually purchased some food from Chilli’s also. All of which is only a 0.7 mile drive. Helen prepared a delicious breakfast.

The staff are so friendly and the rooms (we had two) were incredibly clean, the tub shined! I would stay here again and again. Goldsboro is a country town and being from the south some of the previous reviews have nothing to do with how clean the hotel is. No matter how much you clean sometimes in the south you will find things inside you may not want to. We did not see anything. The fridge was clean and my only regret was not having more cash to tip the housekeeper more than I did. Remember to tip your housekeeper people!! :)

Our experience here has been real positive but I do NOT like the smoking area near the front door. I don't smoke and don't like the smell of smoke. So when I have to unload my vehicle, I usually have to unload near the front door and there is always someone or a few people smoking outside in the smoking area near the front door. We usually arrive late at night, and there is usually not much parking available.

I am a travel nurse and am housed in a suite where I can cook and basically feel like ho.e while I am out of the comfort of my own home. The staff is great and accommodating. I couldn't ask for a better place to be...I'm jumping I. The pool before I leave here!!! ?Rooms: Very spacious and comfortableSafety: I noticed cameras in the corridors and nobody mills about which makes me feel safeNoteworthy details: I had the pleasure of meeting Max the glue that holds this place together lol and CHARLIE one of the tenants puppy. I travel for work a lot and try to stay within the Marriott brand to collect my points. With that being said, I checked in here tonight and Anna at the front desk was extremely kind and bubbly, but so far she’s the best thing it’s got to offer lolParking: There is just not enough of it.Lobby: I didn’t look around out there but seemed okay.Room: EXTREMELY dated. Especially in comparison to the other Townplaces I’ve stayed in. There really isn’t any type of color coordination going on, the couch is incredibly sunken in, the browns either need a fresh coat of paint or to be redone completely, I’m pretty sure the bathroom wasn’t swept and has a weird odor, the TV is MUCH smaller than the others, the buttons on the unit below the window do not work, the carpet needs replaced and the most important part- the bed is a literal rock & I wish I was exaggerating. I haven’t even slept yet but I sat down and it left a lot to be desired. There’s a Home2Suites next door so if you are reading this & are torn between the two, go there. If your collecting points here than I get it lol

Nice hotel and the staff can be nice as well, but if you have kids with autism beware. Have a nonverbal 3 year who likes to bounce around on his tippy toes (very lightly), and at most makes baby talk noises which I admit could be loud sometimes- we switched rooms but no matter what room we went to (even after we requested to be put where no one was around us) we still got called about noise complaints.

Two 4 night trips here for business.I wanted this place to be good. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately I experienced roaches both times I stayed. Brown water - was told it happens from time to time and I didn’t feel comfortable using the ice machine. Not sure if it was from the bugs or breakfast sandwich but I was nauseous for 3 days during my second stay. The room just gives you the creeps when you open the fridge and bugs drop in on your food. Expected better from Marriott.
