“This office has helped my family care for three different pets over a period of 20(+) years. They've also helped us say goodbye to all three of them. I have always received nothing less than experienced professionalism, from the front of the office to the back. I've had to hear some hard truths over the years, but always with great compassion - As if my pets were as dear to them as they were to me. That's important to me. The most calming and reassuring thing I have ever heard a veterinarian say is, "If this was my dog/cat, I would start here (a tx option)." I have never thought to myself they were after my money. I could trust they would start with conservative treatment, rule out the small stuff, and tell me what I needed to hear in a way I could understand, without judgement. I was given tx options that ran the gamut from ideal, textbook options, to the most economically practical treatment options.
This office flourishes because they do good work. Oftentimes, the bigger the office gets, the less personal and professional the service becomes. That has not been the case with Berkeley Veterinary Clinic. I don't ever want to own a pet without them by my side, caring as much for its well-being as I do.”

“Took my cat, Sweets, to this practice after emergency visit to Points East. Office staff and Vet asst were great here. Dr. Renee made recommendations for diet changes due to vomiting and diarrhea in older cat. Love that there are 2 vets there and was able to get in quickly. This can be difficult at times in a practice with just one vet. Will gladly continue Sweets care at Goldsboro Veterinary Hospital.”

“When I moved back home a few years ago, I was desperate to find a veterinarian that could provide great care for my two precious cats. I remembered while I was stationed back here in the 90s how wonderful Dr Moran was with my beautiful, intelligent, and sweet border collie, but she was no longer there.

However, Dr Lewis did not disappoint. I really can’t say enough good things about him. He is so good with my babies. His staff is wonderful as well (Ashley/Jen/Teresa front desk and Dina/Tiffany/Audry in the back).

One of my cats developed a horrible dry heave cough that was just getting progressively worse. I was concerned that it couldn’t wait until his scheduled apt, two weeks later.

They put him on a waiting list and called back within a day or two with an earlier appointment. He was treated by Dr Lewis, and I was provided oral medication (my preference, to avoid another shot) and my boy has been on the mend ever since.

He does a full examination, gives us options on what to do for her, gives estimated prices when we ask, and is just overall an exceptionally good-hearted veterinarian. I love being a client here and bringing my fur family to this place. The people are very kind-hearted as well. Would definitely recommend people coming here and bringing their fur family as well.
