Was buying a used truck was told a specific issue was needing serviced by previous owner so I dropped off truck for a second diagnostic with Luis. This guy called me and tried to charge me $240 for diagnostic and said he wanted to replace coolant system to test the pressure in heads. I asked why would I pay for a repair of something that you don't know will fix the problem? And definitely not paying for a diagnostic (more then dealership charge) when you still aren't telling me what's wrong with the truck. It starts so you can perform any test necessary. Long story short I contacted the dealership and they also said his diagnostic process was not right and if I wanted to know what was wrong with truck to bring it there and I'd be charged $189.. so for $50 less plus $3k that Luis wanted me to pay him for a service before he knew what was wrong I would know the extent of service the truck actually needed. I had to argue with this guy also with certified dealership tech on the phone explaining he was wrong and I wasn't about to be ripped off. Either we go to court or I take my truck then. A day later the dealership calls me and informs me it's 2 bad heads as well as coolant system. So I'm better off not getting the truck smh. This Luis shop was about to milk me to death replacing everything until I was double the cost of just replacing engine! Be wary of this shop! Overcharge and improper diagnostics!

I recently took a car to Luis for a pre-buy inspection and he advised me not to purchase it, potentially saving me a substantial amount of money. I highly recommend his services for anyone in need of an honest and trustworthy mechanic with a genuine desire to help people.

Always true to his word and doesn't gouge you. Was a small shop at first but had expanded and is even better. Techs even let you know what to look out for and not always pushing things you may not need.

Had a great experience with the staff at Luis Auto Repair. Called early in the morning to see if they had time to look at my car and they said bring it right over and they’d have a look. They replaced my alternator belt and battery same day and kept me updated along the way. They even stayed around after hours to allow me to pick up my car. Prices and service were great and I will definitely be going back in the future for my car repair needs!

They Charge you $120 for diagnosis which Auto zone and Advance Auto does for free. And will only tell you about the $120 fee after they do the diagnosis.

I took my truck here over the summer to have a coolant leak fixed. After getting it back it was fine for a few weeks and then began struggling to start (which wasn't a problem before) ,and it was leaking coolant bad again. So I took it back for them a 2nd time to fix and they replaced the crank sensor and some wires. I got it back and it ran fine for a a week but was still struggling to start and he said " it might be a faulty crank sensor because we used an aftermarket one" so I kept driving it then one day it just didn't start at all. So I made the mistake of having it towed there and worked on for a 3rd time. When they received my truck it somehow started fine for them and only wouldn't start some of the time. They barely keep you updated on your vehicle, I kept my truck there for 2 months and they couldn't figure out the problem.. I picked it up the other day and won't ever go back. Mind you I took it in for a coolant leak. It left the shop with more issues than when I brought it. So I spent over $2000 and my truck is not fixed. My dads is an ex mechanic and said he's never heard of a vehicle being in the shop for 2 months.Service: General repairs & maintenance
