“I ordered tires on walmart.com and had them installed here. Booked the appointment online when I ordered the tires. Everything went very smoothly. I was in and out in a little over an hour. While I was there I saw several people walk in with no appointment and becoming frustrated when told the wait time would be 2 or 3 hrs for an oil change. This service center is open 7 days a week, 12 hrs a day. I highly recommend booking an appointment at a time that works for you instead of expecting to just walk in and have service performed while you shop or something.”
“My only complaint is that I no longer live close by to bring my car here! Carey’s has been the only place my family has taken our cars for over 30 years and for good reason. They’re just kind, honest, good people. I want to especially thank them for looking out for my grandpa who had had a bad experience elsewhere and was worried about being overcharged again. He took his car to Carey’s today and said it was the best experience he’s ever had at an auto shop. Y’all are simply the best and I truly appreciate you!”
“They did my oil change! Nice and friendly service. I wasn't there 30 minutes! I requested a high mileage oil change, and that's what I received! I actually seen them putting quarts in. Instead of pumping the oil out of an oil drum..that's rare. Checked my fluids and tire pressure too. The service and piece of mind was worth the price! I will have them do it next time”
“They replaced a splash guard and changed my
Oil. I had hit a deer a few months again and they noticed wear on the inside of the front tires. They let me know the importance of getting at least two new tires and getting an alignment. I made an appointment and they took care of it immediately. They are the best.”

“I visited the Hickory location yesterday, 12/3/25, for an oil change. Brandon and Aiden were the friendly team members who greeted me and handled business. They did an outstanding job and made sure everything was right before I left. I got the full synth for around $86 but needed an extra half quart added plus $7 shop fee, so the total was $98.98. I was able to use a coupon that was emailed to me for $25 off, so I feel like I got a great deal! They helped me out by installing wiper blades I had purchased but hadn’t been able to get on. Both are excellent at what they do and it’s really a lot of work in a very short period of time. The receipt has a whole list of service items they checked out. I’ve been to this location before and never left a review, but I’m always impressed by the team work/service there. Thanks!”
“I can’t say enough about this local family owned business. Our daughter was visiting her grandparents in Lenoir while on Labor Day break from UNC. She experienced some car trouble and I wasn’t able to drive the 4 hours from Ft. Bragg to assist her. Jim and his staff opened their doors and were able to sort out and fix the issue. I hope the surrounding area knows they have a true professional and dedicated family man serving the area. If I lived closer they would 100% be my go to for any automotive repairs. “I normally do my own oil changes at home. However I went to the shop after I discovered my bolt was stuck in the oil pan. I figured they would have the tools get it loose. First tech said they could do it, second tech said he already tried and it wouldn't come off. Once I got bad news that it was completely stripped, I thought I was going to have to go to a actual shop. That's when Dan showed up. He said he's got it. Man, did he. He had that rounded bolt off in less than 5 mins. Then they put a new plug in for free. This is above and beyond was I was expecting from a 10 min oil change place. If I had to recommend a place it would be this one.”

“I was guided into the bay within 2 minutes of parking outside the store. The whole process took around 15-20 minutes start to finish. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful; they didn't try to upsell me on anything my car did not need and recommended I seek transmission service at a transmission shop.
Would definitely come to this location again.”

“These guys are amazing. We had a brake seize up while driving back to Florida and had to stop on a Saturday afternoon. These guys were so awesome, he went to the part store for parts, fixed it in their parking lot and had us back on the road in less 3 hours. Good mechanics are hard to find, but not in hickory. These are the guys.”
“Overall, it was a good experience.. however, I ended up not getting any work done to my vehicle. I waited for an hour before I was told that they cannot plug my tire.. the ultimately I ended up plugging my own tire, which is a hard it’s just something I didn’t wanna do that particular day…I’ve been there before, and I’ve never had a problem and always have great service. It would’ve been nice if someone would’ve told me it couldn’t have been plugged so I didn’t have to waste an hour of my time… but prior experiences with the auto care center has been great. So I don’t want to not give them them a bad rating ever just one incident.. if you need a a new tire or anything, this is the place to go.. the prices are grades, and they are open seven days a week.. I’ll go back again if I need to.. stay kind, everyone”

“Trey came out to pick up my vehicle after a call to AAA. He was patient with having to move and remove my car several times to get it positioned safely on the tow truck. He was helpful and informative. I have rarely had a towing experience where I didn’t feel uncomfortable with the tow truck driver but this guy was amazing!”
