I rented a car and it was not road safe ready. I was out of town in snowy weather with no windshield wash fluid to clean the salt and sand from the windshield. In unfamiliar area I had to go to 3 different places to find some. When I returned the car I was asked if everything was ok...when I mentioned the fluid I was ignored. Alamo did take some money off the rental (after I emailed to complain) but I would like to think my safety is worth more than $18

I wanted to take a moment to express my satisfaction with the service I received during my recent business trip to Greensboro. This was my second time renting from the Greensboro Alamo, and I have been consistently impressed with the level of professionalism and efficiency displayed by your team.I would particularly like to commend Bri for providing outstanding service during my most recent visit. Bri ensured that all aspects of my rental process were taken care of promptly and without any issues. They also took the time to explain all necessary details before handing over the keys. Additionally, I appreciated being granted a free upgrade to an SUV, which was a pleasant surprise.Based on my positive experiences with Greensboro Alamo, I would highly recommend your services to colleagues and business associates in need of reliable car rentals in the area.

I had a reservation for pickup and confirmed w/customer service 3x that it will be available at scheduled arrival time. However, when I got to the counter, they told me that the on-call customer service was wrong and I needed to confirm w/the counter service. I'm very skeptical of such an arrangement since I've never had to call counter service to get confirmation and why you bother having customer service if that is the case. This needs to be addressed because other parents from my traveling party also had similar problems with confirmed reservations and no cars. Worse part is that when I tried to call the counter that afternoon to confirm my car would be available I can not get a person to answer the call for 2+ hr and 10+ calls.The only bright spot was the parking lot attendant, Ki. She was resourceful and accommodating in finding my "reserved" car and correcting the contract. She took her job responsibly and make sure customers are taken care of. Thanks.

Getting the car at the airport was very easy and staff was efficient.The gas tank was not filled requiring me to fill it up almost as soon as started driving. When I pointed this out to the agent (DD) upon return and showed him the receipt for that initial fill up, he immediately reimbursed me for that fill up. He was super helpful.Thanks to all!!

See below for new information regarding this review.I rented a car for 10 days in Anchorage AK. On the 5th day the car broke down, a brand new Rav4, and because we we in wilderness areas we had to use the cars satellite emergency button to contact Toyota and that was when the nightmare started with Toyota linking us to Alamo and Alamo mostly doing nothing and telling us they could not help. I told them we had NO cell service and could not send or receive texts or phone calls, and made this very clear. As we later found out, after that call, they tried to communicate via text. After sitting in the middle of know where for 4-5 hours we tried the car again and it started. It was overheating and the AWD was malfunctioning according to the alert notices. So we proceeded, and after several miles it started again. We were able to get to a restaurant/cabin facility and got cell service. We were able to schedule a replacement car but it was going to be the following morning, so we called a local car rental and they came a picked us up and delivered a car.Since then I have been trying to get reimbursed for that car we rented locally and after 6-8 calls and promises they were going to take care of it, no calls back. It is now over 20 days a since the incident and NOTHING!(07/19/23) I have responded to the email "HH" and no response. I am currently on the phone with your customer service, AGAIN. I am being told that Alamo has not been paid by Expedia for the car and that is why I have not received payment for the rental car. It would seem that refunding the $175.00 for the added car rental would not be dependent on Alamo getting paid by Expedia, as this is not expedia's problem.

Alamo has the best people and cars. We rented a small SUV for UNC graduation long weekend. Tereal greeted us upon arrival and remembered us as we returned the car on Sunday. He made sure we knew where gas was to return the car full given that the tank was so big that it might not make sense to buy the initial tank. I appreciated his kind way of explaining options and his care to make sure we had everything when we turned in the car. It was a no hassle pleasant experience.

I’m so grateful to have been served by Kaylee at Alamo Rent A Car, Piedmont Triad International Airport. She greeted my friend and I with a big smile, and congratulated us for hustling to make it before they closed for the night. She swiftly processed our reservation in a professional manner, and exceeded our expectations by upgrading us to a stunning new Jeep Wagoneer. As a first time visit to North Carolina, Kaylee made a fantastic first impression as a representative for her company, and honestly made our night. Sure beats the economy car we were expecting! Thank you Kaylee, and thank you Alamo!

I had a reservation and so I initially contacted Alamo to see what would happen if my flight was late. All the customer rep would say is we close at 11:59 pm. When I tried to get more clarity on my options she laughed and hung up.When I arrived at the rental at 11:50 the customer rep said that they didn't have a car for myself or a couple others with reservations. I was told I could take an uber if that was a problem. The city I was headed to, Greensboro, was an hour away. I ended up staying at the Airport Hotel. Due to the late hour and lack of reservation, I was charged $259.00 for one night. I went back the next day to get a car. The new customer rep was kind and offered to give me a discount due to their mistake and the cost I incurred. I was told I would be discounted $150.00 to help cover the hotel costs. I was actually only discounted $50.00 for the same rental as the day before.So due to Alamo's lack of planning, poor customer service and lack of concern for their customer, my trip cost me an additional $209.00. What bothered me the most was the attitude and lack of concern for a customer who had gone to the effort to:1) make a reservation anticipating a car would be available at an hour that was too late to have other options2) call ahead to negotiate a couple extra minutes in case the flight was delayed, andThroughout the experience, there was no concern for me. What if I didn't have the money to stay at a hotel? I would have needed to sleep on a bench at the airport. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I also was irritated when the first rep laughed at my situation and hung up. I won't trust Alamo ever again.

Kaylee at Alamo gave incredible service and upgraded us from a sedan to a Wagoneer with no up charge. Highly recommend renting a car from Alamo. Amazing service!!!!

Marsha Holt: I rented a FULL size truck, and when I got there they did not have it. They gave me a small truck to fit 4 men in for a work trip. The back seats weren’t even seats they were the half. I also paid for the gas before I left so I left with a full tank and was told I didn’t have to bring it back full since I already paid for the gas. They also stated they were gonna credit my account $69 for the inconvenience. I received a debt a month later for 115$ I believe, for gas they said I brought back empty and the 69$ they were suppose to credit. They said they were gonna fix it, then I receive another bill a month later this time 69$ called again told I was gonna hear back. Then received another bill for 115$ again, talked to them AGAIN. And now they will not respond to me and keep sending me collection notices. The WORSE customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The guys here were hilarious, and gave us a bangin' upgrade from an economy car to a new Dodge Challenger with only 1,200 miles on it (the second time this has happened for me and my wife). It turned otherwise a dull counter experience and drives across Winston-Salem into a ton of fun. Great crew, great cars.Also: Make sure to pay for the full tank of gas if you'll be driving a lot. It saves money, and you can drop it off with barely anything left in the tank. I only paid $58 to have that Challenger filled, and only needed to put in around $30 after a week.Thanks!

The best rental car company at the airport! I reserved my car online and it was very easy. The night before my flight they sent me an email to do sort of an early check in to confirm my car. I did that and my car was indeed already there waiting for me. When I got to the airport my car was just a few feet away and in the garage area so I didn't have to go out into the rain. Check in was very quick and easy. I got an upgrade and that was unexpected and I loved the car. I did have one issue when I got in the car I didn’t know how to operate the radio I went back to the desk and they came right out and fixed the problem for me. Drop off was the easiest part. I drove into the lot and the outside worker motioned to me to park in a spot and came right over asked me how my car went did I like it were there any problems and I told him no everything was perfect. I gave him my keys and He went in and got the mileage himself while I unloaded my luggage. He said thank you so much for using Alamo and the transaction was complete! The easiest experience I’ve ever had with a rental car. A few days before I needed to add one more day to my rental car I was able to do that online in just a couple of minutes. The agent was very polite it was easy to access my information and he told me the extra fee would be about five dollars. I was blown away. The rental came to $1000 for six days which I think is very expensive but I think all the companies are like this. I’ve had horrible experiences with other companies but I will only use Alamo from now on. Definitely do not use Priceline to rent your vehicle, call Alamo directly.

We recently rented an SUV from Sam at GSO/Piedmont Triad airport. He was courteous, helpful, and extremely quick. We rented from a different airport a few weeks ago and it took FOREVER. We were pleasantly surprised that Sam was so efficient and took care of all of our needs. Great customer service at this location. H even went and got the car and pulled it around to us so we didn't have to walk to get it. The car was spotless as well. Thank you Sam!
