This is not your typical American grocery store, so don’t try and compare them! This is an AWESOME grocery store filled with tons of bulk Mexican, Jamaican, and African ingredients. This is a great store if you’re feeding a family, or want to buy produce or goods that you dont find at food lion or harris teeter. This store has so much culture, and things from different countries, its awesome. I found ingredients ive heard of but never seen before! I could buy Mullen flowers as a spice here! Love it.If you want everything 100% pristine and sparkling, you wont find that at this this grocery store. Its not the newest or shiniest, but its got rare finds, culture, delicious snacks :)

This grocery store is filth incarnate. Rotten meat, old malfunctioning refrigerators and freezers, outdated "NON" perishables, dilapidation, intrusive behavior, unprofessional customer service, negative management, unsanitary butcher department, racism, loitering addicts, and a high risk demographic. BUYER BEWARE, avoid at ALL COST. Overall, the owners are just focused on capitalism based on Ill gotten gains pretty much.

I wish I can zero stars but I reported molded bags of lemons to manager and she instructed her produce guy in Spanish to take lemons that are not molded much and mix them with the single lemons. I walked out and suggest people never shop there. That's a major health and safety risk. If u shop there after this review God bless bc your gonna need it

This store discriminated against us because we were black about wearing a mask. If this is your policy then everyone needs to follow, leave people alone.

The hamburger meat I recently purchased was SPOILED.! Thank god I smelled it and didn't feed it to my children. Should definitely do better with MAKING SURE the meats are FRESH and UP TO DATE!

Just went into Compare Foods on Summit Ave.They have a sign in their door that "Requires" masks to be worn.As I walked around I noted many people not wearing masks.I complained to the service desk but he said there was nothing he could do!I said how about "No mask No Service"I was going to buy produce but people NOT wearing masks were breathing over all the uncovered produce.I will not be shopping there again until they assure me they have fixed the problem. They seem to not know how serious covid19 is! My brother just died on Aug 6 2020 of this virus.

Has a great selection of Jamaican seasonings , canned goods and a good selection of meat as well. I wish the produce section was as big as the one in Winston but I found 90% of what I was looking for without having to go to multiple stores so it worked out great for me. I have to drive about 30 - 35 minutes to get to either location but it’s worth it to stock up on stuff I need to make our food.
