The ladies at the front desk are sweet. The rest of it is downhill. Horrible wait times with honestly just a few people there. My biggest complaint is Dr Henry. Beside manner is horrible. She was rude and just treated me like I was stupid. Her notes were not accurate either. Read discharge notes. I was charged an outrageous price to be turned away with no problem found - when my dog is still sick and suffering. Dr. Henry needs to learn to communicate with patients. We are paying an outrageous amount for service so she should at the very least treat you decent.

Where are the real reviews? Awful experience. There is no evidence my dog even received a physical exam. Save yourself some time and do not visit this place. You will pay a lot and receive nothing. After taking my dog to a real place of service, I got some answers to a very serious condition. I’m not sure my dog was touched beyond being carried back to the exam room. Why are you not allowed to watch the provider examine your pet?…maybe because an exam wasn’t done?…that seems to be the case in my experience here.

We are so grateful for the kindness of the staff of Guilford College Emergency team! They were thorough with the care of our 12 year old Shitzu. We came in scared and worried and each person from the lady that took our call, checked us in, the vet, the techs, even the lady that explained meds, were all so loving and considerate.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. They act like your are an inconvenience. My pet is my world and they treated her like she was nothing. If your pets are family to you like mine are then don’t let these people handle them. You won’t be happy and neither will your pet.

0/5 - A truly awful practice. They prioritize profit over genuine concern for your pets well being. They deliberately dance around clarity and will constantly push for a pricey procedure over what’s best for your pets health and well-being. Do not bring your pet here.

After a surgery, our cat developed a nasty infection and needed urgent care late in the evening. She was in a lot pain and very lethargic. We were very worried. The staff was super caring and professional both that night and at her return visits.

I've had two friends go here in the past month. Both got ripped off. Vet misdiagnosed, but you pay up front, so there's not much recorse. My friends had to go to a proper vet after paying a fortune here. The sub 3 star rating is a clue.

Overnight emergency visit for XL dog. Staff was very accommodating & friendly, site was clean and updated with tv and convenient restrooms for pet owners. Wait wasn’t terrible. Vet did thorough exam and provided options for the need for emergency surgery. Only drawback was that it was quite pricey but this was an emergency at 11p. Would recommend, especially for emergencies.

0 stars!! Do yourself a favor and stay away; they charge whatever the hell they want always recommend X-rays for any issue; and when they don’t find an answer on X-ray they tell you another $300 for blood work! Staff is so unprofessional and doctor was too busy “with charts” to come speak with us when we had more questions! Unless you want to spend a hefty amount STAY AWAY!! You will regret it I promise!! Reporting this establishment to the BBB as they make up prices as they go!

We were traveling with our cat when he started sneezing. Brought him to Guilford. Strangely, they took our cat from us and we didn't see him again until after we paid the bill. Weird. They requested and photocopied a driver's license, not sure why, but the system seemed like they hold your pet ransom until you pay. It just felt like they don't trust clients while we trust them with the lives of our furry family members. We weren't very comfortable with the process and it definitely wouldn't be okay if it was my child.

My wife took our dog here last night (1/2/2023) with him having what ended up being pancreatitis. He was in a lot of pain and they said estimated cost was $600 to treat. Cost ended up being over $900 and this morning (1/3/2023) dog is still in a lot of pain.Called and asked about pain medication and was told it is not necessary and that is not included in the $907 bill paid. They want another $30!! Was over talked on the phone by extremely rude receptionist. Horrible service and dog is in misery right now and all I hear is give us more money! I have contacted News 2 WFMY and currently waiting for their return phone call. This place should be embarrassed and ashamed of this behavior! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE ANIMAL!

Expensive but the only place I found in town that could see my canine the same day! A lot of places claim to offer emergency services but when you call they have no openings. It’s not like that here. I’m satisfied. Just make sure have a credit card with a hefty limit on hand! Lol.

0 stars.....PLEASE don't take ur animals here. On their site it specifically says they provide all these services and have numerous specialists on site but come to find out they DO NOT, at all, and they charge an excessive amount extra to have a specialist outside the office to look over x-rays, etc. The Dr told me herself that the site is not correct and she's not sure y it says that but that's the ONLY reason I brought my dog here was because it stated they could provide these services and my vet couldn't c her for a month because of them being down to 1 doctor. How can a company tell all these lies on their site to get ppl n here but then tell u basically "Oh Well, doesn't matter what our site claims, we're going to charge u whatever we want!!!" Def not legal. Even had to call the cops because they refused to give me my dog until I paid for these extra charges.

I adopted a senior dog in 2017 and had been taking her to Guilford College Animal Hospital ever since. They have always treated me and my dog, Taylor, amazing. Taylor recently passed and their entire team treated me so kindly during that devastating time. I don’t know if I could have gotten through it without all their kind words. Thank you for taking care of my Taylor all these years and being with her at the end. I’m forever grateful.

Terrible service. If I could give 0 stars I would. We suspected that my 23 year old cat had a urinary tract infection. She’s too old and fragile to get in a cage and transport to to the vet. We were able to get a sample of her urine. Our local vet was closed because it was a weekend, and so we called Guilford College Vet. They said we could bring the sample in and they would test it for us, but we had to wait until 6 to come. 6 is when they start charging emergency fees, so they wanted us to come then so they could charge more-even though this wasn’t an emergency. We drove 45 minutes to get there, only for them to refuse to test the sample without the cat present. We told them they said we could come with just the sample, and they still refused. Not only that, while we were there we saw a very injured dog bleeding all over the floor. They wouldn’t take the dog back until 6:00, so they just let it sit and bleed and sit in pain until then. Do not go here. They are not actually interested in helping animals.
