After being going at this location a year I have noticed after increase of fees. Things are not being fixed. Mini treadmills have boots on them. Men's locker room could use more tension. Equipment not being fixed in Italian manner. Men's locker room bathroom needs attention as wellYeah I think you just asked me could be upgraded to be larger. Block room is like from the seventies in a junior high school.

Unfortunately, this YMCA has really gone downhill. I used to work here and at that time I thought very highly of everything about this YMCA. I rejoined back in August and only made it to December because of how poorly it is ran now. There are a few employees that are still there that are awesome, do not get me wrong but overall the experience itself was nothing short of awful.Every time we would come in to workout, no one (with the exception of a few) would greet you. Most the employees now just sit there on their phone or laptop and don't even look up to speak or welcome you. You get upstairs to the gym, the employees up there NEVER say a word. They are either talking to a member the entire time you workout, on their laptop or phone at the front or you can't find them. If you decide to come in when they first open all the weights from the night before are all over the ground, and weights are still on the squat racks and deadlifts. If they can't do a simple task like this before closing it shows me they never clean either. They have certain times you can bring a guest as well which is really dumb (cut off is 3pm), I have never heard of that at any gym and have worked at plenty of gyms. When you're paying a lot of money for a membership (higher than most gyms) you expect some kind of quality. Not here.Lastly, cancelling my membership was a nightmare as well. I filled out the form online in December to which it says you'll hear from the membership director in 48 hours. Never happened. January 15th I called because I still hadn't heard anything and didn't want to be charged another month. I was transferred to the membership director "Barbara" , left a voicemail and she never called me back. Second day calling, the girl told me to fill the form out online again so I did. Called back the 3rd day right after 4 and Barbara the membership director was not in. I had to ask the girl, can you take my info and have her call me back?? She took my info down, Barbara never called me back. Finally, yesterday I called and the girl told me that it is cancelled and sent me a form. Never once heard back from Barbara the membership director which is very unprofessional. I can't imagine someone leaving me a voicemail at my job and never calling them back. Goes to show you how little they care. I outlined all of this in my "reason for cancel" on the form and no one ever contacted me to talk about it which is why I decided to write a review. I hope for the YMCA's sake, they do better. The YMCA is an awesome organization and shouldn't have people like this representing them.Update: Someone named Lynn left me a voicemail about this review. Was super dismissive in the voicemail and basically excused it by saying it was missed due to the holidays. Clearly didn't really care about what I had to say because she said "if you have any questions, give me a call back".

We appreciate the early morning opening hour so we can start our day together with an early morning workout. It's very clean, and Kaleb was a wonderful Fitquest trainer! We also really love the indoor track as a safe alternative to the shorter days and colder weather.

The Bryan Family YMCA is a wonderful place in downtown Greensboro to develop and maintain your health goals. There’s really something for everyone.. lots of cardio, weight machines, free weights, indoor gym, track, swimming pool, lap pool, hot tub, etc. There are classes to fit all interests. Personal training is available as well. Overall, just a fabulous facility with a friendly, professional staff.

This facility is clean and well - maintained, unlike the YMCA in Burlington, which is why my wife and I drive the extra 20 minutes from Mebane to work out. It is worth the drive!

Like this YMCA. The turf upstairs it great. I think the gym needs rearranging however. They need to hire someone with experience in laying out gyms cause it just feels off to me and I sometimes feel lost in there. Furthermore, only one deadlift spot and one squat rack is criminal. They pretty much need a little bit more of everything and if they got someone to lay out the gym properly they would be able to easily fit it in. Overall not bad though

Beautiful place everyone is so friendly. I had my first cycle class with Zoey she was awesome. You are greeted at the door with a smile and good morning. It's a great feeling to feel welcome when you enter into an organization.Even the members are friendly and I met a friend this week. The YMCA history is to accept people from all walks of life and this is what they do here.Anita Washington Rice
