I was asked to email you the details of my experience. As of this time I do not have the receipt. ( I had the receipt when I first tried to exchange the hat) After my experience I just threw it away in frustration. I received a Mets fitted hat for Christmas. The hat was too small. It was purchased in a store in the Atlanta area. I was traveling and did not have time to return it to the Atlanta area. On Monday, December 18, 2023 I took the hat to the lids in Four Seasons Mall. I was told that I needed the receipt. I got the receipt electronically only to be met with suspicion. And the manager do not want to exchange the hat. I left and went to the store in Southpointe Mall in Durham, NC on the same day. They stated that the receipt did not have a number (forget the name he called it) and I had to get that number. Once I got the number the manager did not want to exchange the hat because he said “it would mess up his inventory”. I ask him what did that mean and was rudely told that he would not exchange the hat. After driving home I took the hat to the Lids in Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake, VA (Still Monday, December 18, 2023). After giving the manager all the information he stated that he would exchange it. He did not have a Mets 7 ½ hat but did have a 7 ½ pitchers hat. I just exchanged the Mets hat I had with him. I know that I may have missed some details but the frustration I faced has really upset me. I am a huge Mets fan just wanted a simple hat. A 7 5/8 hat would have fitted better but I just wanted to get the hat and leave. I apologize for the length of this email but if this can change another customers experience then it is worth my time. Thank you.

I drive one hour and have Isg to visit Lids in Greensboro and I found the store close at 4:00 pm with all the employees eating inside the store. BTW The store hours are until 6 pm on Sundays. Worst experience.

Very high prices and less than attentive staff. Seem bothered when you ask for something not reachable. Great selection of hats though.

The young lady with the pink NY hat was very rude and her attitude was very unprofessional. If she wants an attitude be mad at the person who did her crazy looking eye lashes. I thought she was about to take flight they were so long. Get it together. The gentleman was professional helped me with my size hat.

The selection of items doesn’t speak to all generations of sports fans. What I mean by that is that the selections for women and children were miniscule. Not only that but the employees were extremely unfriendly in that they didn’t greet anyone as they entered or exited. What’s more they didn’t offer any assistance to customers that were browsing around. And last but not least, the manager was unkept, low energy, and uninspiring. Consequently I will not be visiting this store again in the future.

So I walked into the store looking for a specific hat. Not one employee greeted me or even acknowledged that I had walked into the store. The lady behind the register looked me in my face and still didn't speak. Walked out immediately.
