I cannot recommend. I came in for an eye exam and to purchase a new pair of glasses. The doctor was an older man that was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. But during the examination, he dilated my eyes. He didn't ask or tell me that he was going to do it, he just did it. When the exam was over, he sent me back to the front area to pick out my frames. The sunlight was coming in and I was half blind trying to pick out frames. It was a bad experience, but I somehow managed to pick out something decent. But then came the drive home! It was a sunny day and I could barely open my eyes to see. I felt lucky to make it home and it was really a terrible experience. I feel the doctor could have warned me or maybe offered me some kind of sunglasses. To make things worse, when I came in to pick up my glasses, one of the lenses was way off. Turned out the wrong prescription was entered into the computer and they had to be redone. I will not return here.

I made eye exam appointments for my daughter, my husband, and my self. My daughter had the first appointment, which she waited 40 minutes for before being seen. She was there for a prescription for contact lenses and was told that she had to come back for a separate contact class before she would be Allowed to leave with them. They only do these classes before 12 PM each day. My daughter is in Law school and has class all day which made this impossible. After much arguing and explaining, they agreed to give her a 4 PM appointment over a month later. She asked them to confirm that they had her contact lenses in when they called to confirm the appointment and was told that they were "pretty sure" they were there. I then called and asked them to confirm. After being left on a long hold, I was finally put on the phone with a manager who told me that they didn't have them in, and in fact hadn't been ordered, but they did have some samples that she could try for the class. She had already waited over a month to get these contact lenses, and now she would have to wait longer and, frankly, waste time going to a mandatory class on this. I had worn contact lenses for 20 years, and felt pretty confident that I could show her how to use them. She is a 23-year-old adult who is more than capable of sticking her finger in her eye. Had my daughter known this she would have just ordered the contacts online. The lack of communication was not just a one off. I had my appointment for which we have insurance for where I am entitled to one fully covered annual vision exam per year. I was charged an additional $44 for a retina scan that I was not informed about. I paid for it, but was very confused by the fact that they did not disclose that this would be an additional charge. In fact, the test was completed quickly as part of the exam. In an effort to offer constructive criticism to the manager when I was on the phone with her, I mentioned this, and stated that they really needed to communicate with their patients about additional charges not covered, as well as the fact that contact lenses would not be ordered until the after the class was taken. The manager's response was to tell me they 'now" have a waiver for that so it doesn't matter. Clearly, this has been an issue in the past if they "now" had a waiver. Ironically, while my daughter waited 40 minutes for her appointment, I was handed the paperwork at the exact same time that I was called into the exam room where I got all the tests. I then went right to see the doctor, and the only chance I would had to read anything was during the time my eyes were dilating, which would not have been ideal, especially since my prescription showed I only needed readers and despite the $135 allowance I got from my insurance, I was told they would still cost me $40. Needless to say, I opted to stay with my $14 for six pair of readers that I get from Amazon. I will never go back there and I would highly recommend using another practice.

I had no choice but to cancel my appointment because of last minute financial reasons and schedule difficulties and the concierge had the nerve to get rude with me and lie saying I canceled my appointment too many times, so i need to schedule with a new office. The appointment was made over a month in advance and it had been my first time canceling. I will not be going to this location anymore.

The service was awful. I came into to purchase glasses through my insurance. They have had me waiting for an hour now to do so. I have a current prescription to use. When I asked how much longer or what I was waiting for because and hour went by. She tells me the lady sitting at the desk who told me no to begin with had to finish doing whatever she was doing before she put my prescription in ? I was so confused, I sat down. About 10 minutes late mr they give me back my prescription and tell me to lose my attitude I politely said to the woman..what attitude you handed me a paper I reached for it and said nothing. Now there sitting behind there desk laughing as I type this review. They are so unprofessional here and immediately showed favoritism to other people walking in. I’m sitting here because this was the only option for me and my insurance but TRUST I WILL NEVER COME OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!

Shada,Ashley,Kazmyn,Caryn and Dr Heather Day were amazing staff! They were professional and extremely kind. If you have not tried them, you are missing out on the easiest eye example and extremely thorough with the newest equipment. Each staff member explained each thing they were doing as well as the facilities is clean!!!

I was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but I am glad I did not pay attention to them. From the first call to getting our insurance info squared away to the day our appointments, we were blown away by the service that we received. Everyone in the office was awesome. It was our first time at the particular MyEyeDr location. While it is a 30-minute drive from our house, we feel we have found a new eye doctor

I love this doctors office! The ladies at check-in are so nice and welcoming and kind and friendly both in person and on the phone. The girl that took me back to do the initial exam was very happy to explain the process and answer any questions I had, and again was very friendly and kind. Dr. Dolan patiently answered any questions I had and discussed concerns with me. At check out the woman explained my insurance and helped order my contacts again like everyone else very knowledgeable and friendly. I would love to walk into this place each week just to get a dose of positivity and kindness. This office seems to be run very well. There have been times. It’s been pretty crowded but overall it is always a good experience. Thank you everyone at My Eye Doctor Adams Farm you’re appreciated!

I have an appointment at 11am today and I arrived at 10:55am. The doctor shown up at 11:55am. She apologized and asked me "Do you want to cancel your appointment?" This is unprofessional and I can't trust her anymore. I decided to cancel my appointment and walk out of the door. Do not come to this place unless you can wait indefinitely.

I’ve never personally been here, however when I called to inquire about an appointment a very lively lady named Karen answered the phone. She had so much warmth in her voice and answered so professionally she made me want to come in just to see her in person! Again I’ve never been there but her customer service over the phone is the reason I will be making an appointment. I hope the rest of the staff is an warm and amazing as she was!!

The location is convenient if you live in the Adams Farm area. It is in the Harris Teeter shopping center. They have ample parking. You can book your appointments online. They send you helpful reminders so that you don't forget your appointment. The staff is always so friendly when you call them and during your visit. They have a great selection of glasses and provide you with your prescription in case you want to order a pair online. I've never had an issue with getting my glasses by the promise date. Usually you receive your glasses before the promise date. This is funny but their music selection is awesome. I swear I wanted to dance in their waiting room...lol The office is very clean. The visits are always quick and efficient. Dr. Dickey is my favorite. He thoroughly explains the changes in your eyes and what is needed to help you see better.

Wonderful location and amazing staff. In particular, Shada and Ashley have gone above and beyond to help me find a new pair of glasses - from helping me navigate both financial concerns and my insurance they've help give me the best experience yet! These women and their team are patient and kind, and made me feel welcomed every time I interacted with them. They also helped get me a great deal on my glasses which makes it even better! Would highly recommend.
