“I have purchased gardening plants from this gardening center for many years, including perennials, annuals, herbs, summer vegetable plants, and a pink dogwood tree. Everything that I have purchased from this store has been healthy looking and grew very well once I transplanted the plants into my gardens.There is a good selection of plants available. Any time I had questions about a particular plant that I was purchasing, the staff member helping me was was friendly and knowledgeable.Along with plants, this store has bags of mulch, potting soil, flower pots in different sizes, trowels, etc.One year in particular, I purchased A LOT of various plants from Carolina Gardena for our backyard. The lady that rang up my items answered all the questions I had at that time and she gave me a bit of helpful advice that I have never forgotten: soil preparation is the most important thing when it comes to the success of your gardening. How true this is! You can purchase expensive plants anywhere, but if you don’t take the time to prepare the soil in your garden/yard/flower beds, you won’t produce plants of their optimal potential.So, if you are looking for a good selection of healthy, well-taken care of plants for your home and gardens, check out Carolina Gardens. “One of my favorite plant stores in the area! The front is loaded with stuff: pots and gifts and goodies but the actual greenhouse! My goodness, I try to go every few weeks because they always get new stock in. Today I saw a plant that was new to me, and asked a few questions to make sure I could provide it a beautiful home: the staff was so kind and helped me understand name, water and light needs. When I was checking out the women complimented the beautiful plant I chose: are the plants a little pricey? Yes, you're paying more than Home Depot or Lowe's: and you're getting a plant that is healthy and hearty and I've never brought home one that has made my other plants sick (which has happened from big box stores.) Definitely worth a visit, and someone buy me a giant bird of paradise please? Thank you!”

“Huge nursery with wide and varied selection. The prices are less than at nurseries in or near Raleigh and the plants much bigger, so great hang for the buck. It is a long drive from Raleigh, not as much from Durham/CH.”

“For the past 2 months, I have been trying to get my battery replaced for a Ryobi electric string trimmer. Let's just say it hasn't been resolved until I met Rosa, who handled my issue like a pro! Today was the day that I have had enough with the run around, and was ready to give everybody the business, as customer service kept placing me on hold for 30 minutes plus. While on hold I decided to drive to my local store where I spoke to 3 friendly staff members who tried and were empathic to my situation. Long story longer, we called 2 different stores, and submitted a claim that showed that I am covered. The claim didn't submit, and I am still waiting to get my battery replaced. Then Rosa let me know that she was able to get some traction, and to visit another store to get my issue resolved. Please recognize Ms. Rosa at the S. Elm-Eugene store at a manager above all others that will get the job done! She was a pleasure to work with. Now I am headed to get my battery replaced. “Finally......my expectations for big box home improvement stores finally comes true. I was on a mission to obtain an adjustable workbench ( sturdier and cheaper than a sit/ stand desk) for my home office. As I searched the toolbox area, Amy made eye contact and immediately came to my rescue. She started by asking if I needed assistance and continued to show interest in my search. Amy was simply amazing. She provided exceptional customer service by locating the product, assisting the forklift driver and making sure we were able to load the product into our car. “Best of the Home Depots in the area for selection and in stock. However, I miss the old days of customer service and knowledgeable associates. Mostly hate the lip service to Veterans(if you want a discount, you have to use their app while in the store. HARD NO).”

I saw one guy near me, but I thought he was a customer. Turns out, he worked there. He walked off without saying a word. I saw him later helping someone else out. I got help from another guy, but once again, I was feet away from him. He didn't say a word. I had to say excuse me. What brought the stars up on my review was the painting department. He approached me to ask if I needed help. The paint specialist was so knowledgeable and helpful. He listened to me and got me what I needed for my project. I really appreciated his help. Everything he suggested was exactly what I needed. I really wish I got his name. He is really good at his job. The check out clerk was kind as well. She was quick and greeted me friendly. I'll try this location again.”
