They were expedient and thorough. It needed tons of work and they had my Rainbow back to me under a week! Parts on-site and service. They are knowledgable, friendly, and taught me how to care for my Rainbow better. I won’t take my Rainbow anywhere else.”
“I was looking for a trustworthy, local sewing machine repair / retail shop in Greensboro. McKinney not only repaired my old Pfaff machine; they helped me select a new sewing machine as well. They make a point to get to know you, what your specific needs are and then recommend and demo an appropriate machine. They also include free one on one lessons with the purchase. I feel comfortable with my new machine and my old one is a reliable back-up now.”

“I've rented a large variety of tools and equipment from this location over the years with no issues. Even had to bring a tool back that stopped working during my rental period and my rental fee was 100% refunded. However, knocking one star off due to an experience today. Let's just say, if you want to rent a flatbed truck, do not let them know you plan on towing with it. They won't let you rent it. Really tough to find a rental pickup to do a short distance local tow and this seemed like the best option until I told them this. Lesson learned, no small talk next time. Just get the keys and head out the door.”
“This is a great place for all types of rentals from chainsaws to electric power washers, which was what I rented recently. Customer service is 98% on it and engaged! Easy access is also a plus. This place has its own special entry point from outside of the building. I will be renting an extended pole mini chainsaw within the coming weeks. Oh, I forgot to mention they have an excellent online access source, where you can schedule, in advance, a rental at any store.”

“I could not get my gas fireplace to work at the most in opportune with the impending snow storm to hit the Triad area this weekend. I need it to keep me warm in case I lose electricity. I called all over Greensboro to have my fireplace serviced to no avail.
I contacted Edward and Mills and they asked me to send them photos of my fireplace. Well, George texted me back with what I had to do to get my fireplace operable. No appointment necessary. Apparently, I just didn’t know how to light it and George from Edward and Mills taught me how to do it ahead of the storm. Thank you!”

“CLAY AND LINO/LYNO(I think I missed spelled it) are really amazing with their customer service if the would had more employees like those 2 the world we be a much better place, I brought a box, rented a truck and they helped me load it up and break it down, they treated the situation as if it was their equipment they were respectful and had a high work ethic, and know I’m thinking about becoming a Home Depot member and not go to Lowe’s anymore thanks to them two and I know for a fact I wasn’t the only customer they treated so well I’ve witnessed them have the same respect and urgency when it came to other customers as well while still helping me they didn’t leave anyone stranded and batted to all customers, they really do need a raise and recognition thank yall”

“I had a positive experience at The Home Depot on S. Elm Eugene in Greensboro, NC on February 12, 2026. I must admit that I love hardware stores and could spend hours in any one of them. As an older woman, most people find it surprising that I do most home repairs myself so I sometimes feel overlooked. However, the employees at The Home Depot were very helpful, answering all my questions and directing me to where I needed to go. I had no problem finding someone to help me. Parking was no problem. I ended up with a couple of items I needed to repair HVAC ducts. Thank to The Home Depot for their help.”

“I was sick and tired of the no agitator AI electronics washer and dryer so I was on the market for an old skool washer and dryer, a simple mechanical timer, takes less than 30 minutes to do a load, easy to repair machine and as much as I wanted one, the famous Speed Queen was too expensive for me. Thrifty Appliances had a very wide variety of very nice machines and they were sooo clean and shiny. Tino was very nice and very helpful. He is very detailed on how to keep the machines running smoothly and he even hooks up the machines to show them running before you take them home. He stands behind his machines so much that he warns people not to slam those dryer doors lol My old skool Whirlpool direct drive machines are beasts at doing exactly what they were built to do and that's washing and drying clothes. No computer, no lights! I will go as far to say they have more options than what's offered on a brand new speed queen and the variable agitation speed is way faster too. No need for Wi-Fi and texting and singing cute little songs at the end of the cycle. I'm very happy with my purchase and my clothes are CLEAN!! If you are tired of those computers and taking hours to wash clothes with wifi type of machines and want a simple old skool with an REAL agitator that knows how to scrub them clothes clean I highly recommend you go see Tino!!
