Funky little locally owned bookstore always hosting different events. They have a coffee bar and a used book section.

Scuppernong Books is an independent bookseller in Downtown Greensboro. When you walk in, it is very welcoming and it is easy to browse and find those books you were looking for. I liked you could see a lot of the covers and see something you'd like that you didn't know you wanted before. I liked the theme sections as well. The local books and the banned books are the areas that got my focus and brought me back the next day to pick up more books. The bookstore has been open ten years and besides selling books they have events. One was just finishing up when I arrived the first day. You can also stop at the cafe for a drink and Jerusalem Market will deliver food if you order it. I'd be a regular here if I lived closer but look forward to my next visit.

I am new to Greensboro and thrilled to have this fabulous indie bookstore on main. It's laid out beautifully and hosts a variety of different book clubs and events. Sealed the deal when I spotted this review of one of my favorite books on writing. I look forward to spending more time in here!

I love books! And I love Scuppernong! The atmosphere is comforting! They have a great selection of current books and classics. My favorite part....? The squeaky floorboards! A great staple of the community!

I knew as soon as I walked in that I was going to love this bookstore. There's just nothing that compares to the smell of books!! There was a wide variety of new books available, the kids section was great and there were some obscure finds in the used section. There's also a coffee bar so that you can relax and sip while you browse. The customer service was great as well as the overall atmosphere.

Came across an independently owned neat bookstore in downtown Greensboro. They sell new, used and even some rare books. Three words describes this bookstore: books, wine, community. Check out their website for events. Disappointed that I missed their wine tasting last Saturday. The name, "scuppernong" (muscadine native to southern US), caught my attention. I'm a wine enthusiast. Being a proud Grammie that I am, I headed to the kids section to find something for my granddaughter. She's only 21 months old but already addicted to books. Lol She signs and says ,"books" whenever she wants you to read to her. So excited when I found a book called, "Kitty Corn" and a plush animal that goes with it. The cashier said that her daughter have the same book and that she loves it. I plan to go back when they have wine tasting.

Scuppernong is a great place. The only one star review is from someone referring to drag queens as "graphic adult entertainers" which is homophobic and transphobic rhetoric. If you follow those kinds of beliefs I doubt you read anyway, so I'm not sure why you need to go to a bookstore! Support local business and be as gay as you want at Scuppernong. There's a peaceful café area in the back for your drag queen book club or sapphic poetry circle.

Very cute bookstore and cafe with a great selection. We had a drink and ended up with a bag of books to take home. The staff was friendly and answered questions. We had a nice visit and would definitely return when we come through town again.

It is a very nice bookstore, with nice people. A place to buy books that perhaps you don't find in other bookstores. I really like this little gem.

My first time visiting and it is a very inviting space, with a coffee, tea & wine bar. Attended the Greensboro Bound Literary Festival event here and found the book discussion enjoyable and educational. I will definitely visit again to consider my next book purchases.

I stop by whenever I'm in Greensboro. It seems small at first but they pack a lot in there, I can usually find something on my TBR. I like that they have both new and used books, a little coffee shop, and a super cozy event space.

What an awesome place. Great book selection, wine, beer, coffee and while I was there a songwriters round was being performed in the back. We need more places like this.

Cozy atmosphere, old wooden floors, and an astonishing collection of books in translation! You don’t find that at most bookstores.
