Very rude woman I talked to in the phone. Then she hung up on me.

Animals are well taken care of by the staff, who truly care and love their beautiful dogs and cats. They ensure animals go to loving homes and have a location to interact with dogs before adoption. I have been to this location a few times, waiting for the perfect companion for my husky.

We adopted our dog ‘Enzo’ from SPCA of Triad. The folks working here are amazing and very responsive. We submitted an application online and heard from them in a few days. They set up an appointment for us to go visit the dogs. When we knew we were adopting Enzo, they helped us out with the whole process. Shout out to KP who replied to my emails right away and was super supportive through the adoption journey. Big big thank you! ?

1 star, and that star only goes to the tripod cat we were trying to adopt. KP greeted us out front and asked how she could help us. She then said she's busy in medical and doesn't have any staff to show us right now. If you're busy then why did you ask if you could help us?! She said we should come back hours later. She insisted we needed to make an appointment, even though we called them several times this week to check in on this cat and were told to come on in! Wouldn't that be the time to inform us we needed an appointment?! This control freak stood there over 5 minutes arguing with us, and ironically our time to visit the cat would've been much faster. When I pointed that fact out to her, she abruptly left back into the restricted area and slammed the door. It is also important to note that the couple who were being shown dogs while we were there didn't have an appointment either! We drove 45 minutes from Winston specifically for this cat. Thankfully the kid showing the dog was helpful enough to say she had an appointment in 5 minutes but that she would help us today after that. The appointment wound up being 15 minutes late, so she was kind enough to finally show us first. When we came in the office, KP was already sitting at her desk on her computer. I don't understand how medical for new dogs takes priority over people who are there to adopt. I would think that is their mission, to get the animals a new home. When we came in the office, the manager there, who was also sitting at her desk, tells us there is already an approved application for the cat and they were coming to pick him up later today. We already had an approved application first, so we said yeah that's us! We were then informed it was someone else who already came to visit, even though their application was approved after us. She then told us that we had backed out, even though we called SEVERAL times this week to check in on this adorable tripod cat that we had an approved application for! We went in and saw the cat anyway, and sure enough he's a sweetheart and we would've definitely taken him home today ourselves! We came back out to find the office now empty, and we were encouraged to write our info for them to contact us if this cat somehow wasn't adopted today. I doubt they would call us even if he was still available. I am happy that the cat is being adopted and hope he goes to a great home for him. I just wish it was our great home that adopted him. My 10 year old daughter was so disappointed when she got home from school to find out we had an empty cat carrier. Cannot believe how poorly this situation was handled and all thanks to poor communication. We literally wanted this cat for weeks, too, but they wouldn't let us reserve him with a deposit because we didn't want to adopt him until after they had the chance to get him fixed, which was yesterday, as per the one on the phone who told us to come on in and didn't inform us we needed an appointment, which seems to have been false info anyway. I'm just stunned that a trip to an animal shelter to adopt a 6 year old tripod cat with a cauliflower ear could be such a horrific experience.

The bottom line about this organization is they are full of it they want you to think there here for these poor animals but the truth of the matter is the conditions that those animals live in is horrible. There in the cages in there own waste and rather keep them like that before they let them be free in a LOVING??HOME SAD ?. And you think your a good Manager your a sad person who doesn't have her heart in her job.

This place is a mess! Not sure how the conditions here are not against to animal rights and protection law. It smell terrible. Cats are sick. Dogs are kept in cages outside.People working here is not trustworthy! If a special breed cat or dog comes, they show it to you but never process papers on time to let you adopt.P.S. First of all, I am not the person they mentioned in their response. I came to center two week ago. Their response is a solid proof that how bad they do their job. Their referring to people like that is humiliating.Secondly, As you can see in their response below, how they are aggressive and rude.Last but not least, their response is a solid proof that they are not trustworthy. When you review their response you can see that they referring a person who came on Sunday. Monday was memorial day so the center was closed and no one can visit the center that day.If that person applied Tuesday 12.54am and you responded at 9.29am on Tuesday, how it can be even possible that someone has decided the adopt that certain pet in a short time and more when the center staff processed and approved the adoption in a very short time (considering that Monday they were not working and the time they start to work on Tuesday). It would be best and nice say to that person is that "pet is on hold, pending approval"----Dogs are kept outside during the day even if it is rainy!!!!???----I am saying they were sick because when I was there, I saw two adult cats throwing out.Note to center staff who wrote the response ---Thank you for your note on my small writing mistake. But it would be better that you go and do your job first.

GREAT experience! Very communicative during the àdoption process. Visited one pup who I would have adopted, but they knew her well enough to recognize that she wasn't a good fit for my family. When they did get a perfect fit, they contacted me! She turned out to be the best fit for us. We are TOTALLY delighted with our pup! For $250, she was very well taken care of, had all her shots plus boosters, flea/tick and heartworm prevention and was spayed. I have no complaints whatsoever. Thank you TRIAD SPCA!!!

My wife and I just adopted our new puppy from the SPCA. This was our first time adopting through them. I can honestly say I'm very happy. The people that work there are so friendly and truly love the animals. I love that they have a form that needs to be vetted before adopting. When we picked her up she was so happy, well fed, and you could tell they had given her lots of love. They have a nice sized play area that was clean, partially shaded, had plenty of toys and fresh water and it was great to see the dogs could have an area to be properly exercised. We would highly recommend them.

Really worked with us to find the right dog. They even let us foster her to be sure. She loves the woods and our fenced yard

I would leave zero stars if I could. First we visited Saturday to look at kittens and told them about the pets we currently have and that we wanted a younger kitten and they said ok great we’ll get someone to show you the kittens we have several. We wait 30 MINUTES before someone FINALLY takes us back and he doesn’t even know which ones are available come to find out NONE where! So we waisted 45 minutes it they say keep an eye out on our Facebook page which I do and when I say I’m interested they tell me I can’t get a kitten because I don’t have a cat! Even though I told them that before and they said it was fine! A huge waste of time and incredibly insulting have these gross hippy looking people tell me that I’m not good enough to have a cat horrible horrible experience

I adopted a puppy from this SPCA. Everything went quickly and easily during this process, from applying and taking the puppy home, to finalizing the adoption a month later. I would recommend this SPCA to others looking to adopt a pet.

I have had a great experience at the center as a volunteer. We also adopted a kitten from the center and have had a great experience-we love our kitten so much. This is a small but growing organization with a small facility and they save an amazing number of animals. The staff is so dedicated and truly go above and beyond to care for the cats and dogs there.

It's great that they care about animals, however, I called to adopt a kitten and they refused to adopt her out to me because they wanted her to go to a home with a kitten. I explained that my cat is 8½ and needs a friend to hang out with because he gets a little lonely when I'm gone and he loves kittens, but they still refused. I found a stray kitten, thankfully, and now the two of them cuddle everyday. Maybe do an in-home eval before just denying people. You'd probably adopt more out that way...
