Walk into speedway, put my drink on counter and let her know I’m going to need change for 3 dollars before she rang me up.
She proceeds to tell me she can’t do that that change comes out the coin dispenser. 🤦♀️ I’m purchasing a drink so your drawer will pop. Smh, you can’t fix stupid. And there is Change in the drawer I’ve gotten change from speedway many times. Needless to say I went elsewhere.

I would give less if I could! cashier told me I had to buy 20 to break a 100 I had bought $15 worth of stuff Said it was policy on the front of the store on the front of the door talk to the manager real rude told me it was her policy called speedway corporate and they told me it was not policy! She taught real ugly and dismissive to me to be honest I think she was prejudiced!

If Speedway in Grifton, NC were a superhero, it’d be Captain Combustible—the avenger of empty tanks and slayer of snack cravings! Rolling up to this place is like pulling into a pit stop on the NASCAR circuit, except instead of a crew with wrenches, you've got friendly staff handing out caffeine and hot dogs like it's the Fourth of July.
Every time D & D Pest Control Co. rolls through for our Eastern North Carolina route, we make a beeline here. Why? Because even exterminators need fuel before they obliterate an ant colony the size of Texas. I once grabbed a sausage biscuit here so fluffy and buttery it made me forget the German roach apocalypse we were heading to in Kinston.
The bathrooms? Clean enough to host a small wedding. The coffee? Strong enough to wake the dead—and perfect for an early-morning Termidor perimeter plus treatment. The pumps? Quick and easy like a cockroach’s exit plan when the lights come on.
And let's not forget—Speedway keeps our truck running smoother than a flea off a dog at a deworming clinic. We trust it so much, we joke that even our sprayers would refuel here if they could.
Pest Control Joke of the Day: Why don’t cockroaches ever hang out at Speedway?
Because even they know this place is too clean and efficient for their drama!
So hats off (and bug boots on) to Speedway in Grifton. You keep the D & D Pest Control crew gassed up, caffeinated, and laughing through the extermination carnage. We love you more than termites love damp wood.

I go to PLENTY OF SPEEDWAYS ALL TIME OF THE DAY AND NIGHT BUTTTT THIS SPECIFIC GRIFTON LOCATION NEEDS TO JUST CLOSE DOWN AT NIGHT BC CLEARLY THEIR OVERNIGHT STAFFING DONT WANT TO DO THEIR JOB ALWAYS GOT SOME BS SIGN ON THE DOOR AFTER A CERTAIN TIME AT NIGHT EITHER “CLEANING OR INVENTORY “ AND THIS STORE NOT THAT BIG NOT TO MENTION NOT A EMPLOYEE IN SIGHT DOING ANY OF THE ABOVE AFTER ABOUT 5/10 MIN…CIRCLE K WOULD NEVERRRRRRR

Open 24 hours might as well say open when ever the night lady wants to do her job. Starting at 1 am she locks the store down puts up a cleaning sign and then sits in the back and does nothing for 3 hours. I needed gas once and didnt have my card on me and had to wait 1 hour and 45 mins for her to decide to open the store. Does not matter if she knows your out there either, if she sees you she head's to the back and just doesn't come out till your gone or she thinks your gone. Just close at night at the point because with her working you already are.
