Played here for the first time. GREAT course layout, best one locally!!! Greens still need a little work, but are very playable. Doing a great job bringing this course back into playing condition!!!! You will certainly love this course. What a difference a year makes! I have played here as about 8 times over the past year and I am really impressed with the progress they are making with restoring this course! Keep up the good work, so looking forward to what lies ahead for this course!!!!

One man’s view: Some holes are still being repaired and have temporary greens (holes 3,4&5 on 10/31). Most other greens at 90% and improving with minimal Poa Annua grass. Many fairways have new trenches for new irrigation that may impact your ball but you get relief (grounds under repair rule). The good news, with better irrigation, the course should be much better in 2024. The cart paths need work but that may be an advantage if you mis hit the ball. You won’t get a giant bounce off the pavement where it is currently replace with sand. The one thing that really needs work are the bathrooms on the course. I would rather use a portapotty or better yet a tree. That said, there were many crews doing work so clearly they are investing in the place. Hope to see the results next year. Still worth playing as the layout is good and so is the beer.

**Course is under construction, and they made that very clear to us. They also offered for us to play another hole if we would like since one of them was closed** Keep in mind it is a work in progress. However, I can say it is a tremendous improvement to what it was when it was still Belvedere CC. Keep up the great work guys! Its going to be a beautiful course when complete.**Pros: Extremely fun course to play, especially for the pricing. The staff was very friendly and did a great job of explaining the course I.E., which holes had temporary greens, and which were closed due to irrigation installation. The range was conveniently located to the check in, and cart pick up. The taco shack that was there was amazing, great food and value was there for the pricing.Cons: There was construction, however, it wasn’t a big deal at all. It was actually nice to see a course putting work and passion back into the course. So ultimately it wasn’t an issue for us, it made us want to come back honestly. However, I know that it might be a con to some so for the sake of fairness I had to list it. There were hole layouts listed so it was a little confusing at times, again due to them making improvements it makes sense that they wouldn’t want to list them just to change them again later.Overall: We loved the course and fully intend on going back. The construction was happening but didn’t take away for the enjoyment of playing, just a minor inconvenience. However, the staff did an amazing job of trying to make it as least inconvenient as possible. The main reason we want to go back is it is clear that they are putting in the effort to make it a great course, and you just don’t see that anymore. Great value for the price, and are looking forward to our next round. Highly recommend you give this course a try while keeping an open mind.**Cant review on the beer garden as we didn’t have a chance to go this time, however looked really cool from the outside**

*This is not a Country Club.Ironclad is a fun, affordable, laid back golf experience for low handicappers and beginners. Watching the progress on a weekly basis is impressive and simply put, awesome. The course has the potential to be the best kept secret in the area, very soon. Add in post round shaka taco and beers and you have an awesome after work treat.

Great place to play golf for a great price! It's a work in progress but near the beach and good amenities (beer garden, shaka taco, cheap driving range, pickleball court, and a lot of events). For $20/9 holes you really can't beat it. There's not a dress code so it's super convenient after work or before the gym. If there's a closed hole they'll let you make it up. The pace is great too, not too many crazy people trying to rush you around. Some of these reviews are expecting Sawgrass for $35/18 hole walk in Tee Times.

We made reservations the day before we played. The person on the phone said that our greens fees and cart were $35, which was a good deal even though it would be 95 degrees for our tee time. When we arrived, there was a sign that said that hole 8 was closed. This was never told to me on the day before. We decided to go ahead and play even though we were told that they were installing irrigation pipes. We went to the range and then told that we were not allowed to use drivers (after we purchased the balls). We get on the course and sure enough, there are filled in trenches running down the middle of most holes. There are no yardage markers nor pictures of the holes/course to let new players know what to expect. On 4 or 5 holes, there was no flags on the greens and the course people cut a little circle in the rough and put a flag there. This course could be very nice but it is a mess. It is terrible that they made us play full fees but we were not allowed to play 5 or 6 of the holes. Don’t waste your time or money

I've been playing here for awhile now. One of my favorite courses to play on. Being affordable and just great fairways. The greens are so close to being perfect. You can definitely see the steps they're taking to make this course beautiful. Always a good time out here.

This is the most relaxing golf experience in the area. Absolutely love the place. They have come a long way since they took over. Not many golf courses have a lot of seating on the grounds to just relax. We sat in front of the driving range after our round and just chilled. Can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you!

I’ve played almost every course in the area and this was by far the worst conditions I’ve seen. I understand that they are repairing some of the greens, and trying to make the course a better experience. However, cutting out a patch of grass in the middle of the fairway and putting a flag there seems unacceptable for full price. It’s safe to say I will not be playing this course again.

The good and the bad....its a new course in development, so its expected to not be in good condition. truly a work in progress. that being said, Probably the worst course conditions i've ever played. a literal ditchline up the middle of the fairways where they buried the water/sprinkler lines. Greens with large dead patches and so uneven i didn't even count the puts. The driving green sold tiny buckets of balls and was essentially hitting out off of sand. Surprised they actually charged $20/9 holes.the good is staff is friendly, good beers, and the other golfers were nice. they had a band going the evening i was there, so that was pleasant.Obviously they need some money coming in during this tourist season, but they really do need a good greenskeeper, put in lots of sod, and fix it up before going full open.

Came here for the first and last time. The lady at the desk was very rude. You had to play the back 9 before you can play. The front nine had to skip five cause they were doing something. The golf carts were very dirty. Roads and pathways were very bumpy and tore up. I do not recommend wasting your money coming here.

Played here a couple weeks ago. Course still not in great shape, but still a good place to go knock some balls around. Went today and waited in line 20 minutes to pay to play 9. Got up to counter and guy said he doubt he could get me out(all the waiting was for beer sales, not people playing golf). Now, when I got there, there was no one on #1 tee box nor anyone in the fairway. A twosome was teeing off as he was telling me he couldn’t get me on, and there was no one waiting. As I right this sitting in parking lot, nobody has tee’d off. Don’t think I’ll be back!

Do yourself a favor and skip this course! I'm not even finished with my round! It's overpriced and desperately underwhelming. They should shut this course down and resod the greens. Then fertilize the heck out of the fairways and at the same time put down some good herbicide! If it was $20 to play, then it might be worth it. But at 39 for the weekday rate...... hard pass! This course needs a lot more work! On top of the poor conditions, my group had to play the front 9 with water sprinklers running on every green! A maintenance guy was there to turn them off at every hole as we were walking up to the greens so we could putt. So then they were drenched in water while attempting to putt, smh! I do hope next year i can return and leave a better review.
