“Hello! My name is Charlie. I am a miniature golden doodle. Everyone at the Deerfield Inn made me feel so special and welcomed.

Our room was very clean, and comfortable.

But my favorite part was each morning and stepping out to see the most amazing view of Lake Chatuge surrounded by mountains. We sat in the chairs, and enjoyed coffee ( for my Mom) and I had fresh mountain water.”

“Attended a Military Ball. Everything was wonderful except the audio system was not clearly heard in the back of the room and the speakers were in an UNLIGHTED corner. It appeared that bulbs were out. Also there was not a photo location or photographer (organizers' job). Food was delicious. Cash bar was open. Room was by parking and easy to access. We had a great time!!”

Lake Chatuge Lodge does truly have a that Lodge feel in Georgia mountains.

Will review as things come to me. So, not in any particular order.

Room is nice. Suits our needs. Paid the extra bit for the Lake view. Really pretty. Has a balcony porch to sit & drink coffee in whatever clothes you choose to wear or not wear. 😉. No looky loo’s to bother you.

Wife likes the bed. Slept well. Bed is ok for me. Better than most, but not my bed.

There is a plug in for cells on both sides of the bed. Wife’s has an actual USB port & lamp to put block in. Mine had same lamp. Wife is plugged in USB. I’m using the lamp.

Room coffee is really good. I brought up creamers from breakfast area to room for my coffee.

Breakfast area is good. The provided breakfast is oatmeal, bagels, etc. If you’re looking for the Comfort Inn breakfast with eggs & all that, it is not that. But we were more than satisfied with the selection & the juices available.

Room bathroom is spacious. Shower is good with lots of water water & good stream from shower head.

When we booked we had a feeling this was a good place. It doesn’t disappoint. We’ve been on the look out for a go to place here in Georgia. This, I think is it.

I hope I didn’t omit anything. Overall, we’re really happy with our choice to stay here. So often reviewers say one thing & then you arrive to something quite different.

Bottom line-if you are on a budget, or just a simple people like us & don’t need something fancy, I’d seriously check out Lake Chatuge Lodge.

Still here. We leave tomorrow. It’s raining. Even raining, it’s a gorgeous from our porch looking at Lake Chatuge.

Final comment..I promise..this is a hidden gem in the Georgia Mountains!!”
