Best place in the area to buy hormone free meat, pork and poultry. Great people!

We had the private farm tour with Brian. It really exceeded expectations. Brian was an entertaining and informative tour guide. We enjoyed learning about the care they take to raise their high-quality cattle. The kids loved seeing the cattle eat, and they loved going through the squeeze chute and feeding the chickens. The farm is a lovely setting. I highly recommend this activity if you are in the area.

We picked up our first order at Walnut Hollow Ranch last Friday and they are so efficient and organized. Everything was ready when I arrived and well packaged for the drive home. We've now tried the New York strip and ribeye steaks and both are excellent! The bacon is great too! I really appreciate the commitment to high-quality. I highly recommend them!!!

The owner is rude and condescending. I inquired about the RV storage and park and asked about surrounding attractions and why we would want to stay up there rather than on the lake. He asked me if I had a cellphone and computer and if I knew how to use them... 'then go to my website' was his reply... it felt like we were imposing and wasting his time. Too bad, I was going to buy some of his overpriced meat...

I stored my 40’ class A RV at Walnut Hollow for nearly two years. It was the best location I could have ever wanted. From roomy inside covered insulated storage with power to exceptional exterior facilities including 50A/water/septic sites overlooking a working ranch, lakes and mountains. I would have driven 100 miles if need be. Just driving into Walnut Hollow was a vacation waiting to happen...and a perfect location to store my rig. The best location within 100 miles...?

We stayed here in July 2019 for 3 nights and it was one of the nicest places we ever stayed with our 5th wheel. Picturesque setting, quiet and just a few sites. It is a livestock ranch with cattle, horses and a donkey. We saw deers and a ton of rabbits. Beautiful landscape and the nicest and cleanest farm which we ever saw. The store offers very good quality meat and even dog food, which we bought for our dog. There are two full hook up sites and I think three more with electricity and water. Lots of space to walk your dog and very quiet during nights. Thank you Charlie for letting us stay at your beautiful ranch! And Emma love your bones, thank you!

We've always gotten wonderful beef here. The price may be higher than the supermarket sales, but I like knowing I'm supporting a local producer and knowing where the meat comes from. Charlie, the owner, is always a delight to talk with and has given us great recommendations for local sights. We've had friends use the available rooms and the RV facilities. Everyone that's stayed there has been pleased with their experience and we've never had a complaint.

We've started coming to this area regularly, and Walnut Hollow is the first place we contact to stay. Charlie is meticulous about keeping a clean and orderly place, and puts guest comfort as a top priority. In fact, Charlie makes the whole place everything that it is--he is what infuses it with personality and charm. Without his humor and relaxed nature, we would not keep coming back. Both rooms and beds are super comfortable. Staying on the property is quiet and serene. There is a quaint relaxing pond with chairs by it to take in nature. No tv reception, but we don't want that anyway. Very helpful that guests can use the kitchen and there is fridge space. We've had a farm tour, and that is worthwhile too. You learn a lot of helpful info about meat and (some of) what it takes to run a ranch like this.

Very rarely do I rate a place this low. Charley is invasive and flirtatious. We stopped to purchase some quality beef while vacationing. While we were purchasing our steaks, ground beef and short ribs he continued to be much too friendly even commenting he would kiss me if my partner would not. I could not leave fast enough. The beef was quite expensive and we paid for more bone and gristle then meat. Buy something without the bone is our recommendation. We went in wanting to buy sirloin and Charley talked us out of them saying the T bone and Porterhouse were better cuts. They were heavy on the bone and nothing to write home about. Particularly considering how much they cost.

This review is regarding our RV camping experience in July 2014. You enter the ranch on about a 1/8th mile concrete driveway. (I found this was handy for walking our dog back and fourth.) There is a sign at the street identifying the place. Our 34 foot motorhome was parked on level concrete with 50 amp service, full hookups at $28 a night. A few other sites have 30 amp service but on gravel. Did not use laundry. Would have been nice to have a trash receptacle. We were the only campers and we stayed four nights. Good access to Hwy 64 and near downtown Hayesville. Nice country store with black Angus beef and other products for sale. Landscape is beautiful with pastoral views, rolling hills and livestock. Flocks of wild turkeys came by daily. Atmosphere at night is enchanting and quiet, heard crickets and such. Friendly staff. Not likely to return because we are from California but we found it a good place to park and visit our friends and surrounding area.
