My daughter, who is only 8 years old, had her very first eye exam, ever, yesterday at the Henderson NC location. A kids first exam can be an overwhelming and scary experience. I am beyond happy with the way the staff interacted with my daughter. They were so patient, kind, and did everything to make her comfortable. They spoke with her in a way that she understood the all the steps of the exam which made her more comfortable with it. Thank you to everyone at the Henderson office!! ?

I was sent to the henderson office, after being contacted by My eye Dr. Since loiuisburg office couldn't get my glasses right...My First visit to the henderson office I hated. I wear a mask and even through my mask all I smelled was garlic type smell on a certain person breathe. They sent my glasses off and I still couldn't see out of them. So once again they asked me if I think changing the frames would help because they were a larger frame. I agreed. My new glasses came in and all I saw was double. In order to make a long story short. I visited the Louisburg office 4 times and the henderson office 5 times. AND I ABSOLUTELY HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT MY GLASSES. I took them and got out of there and WILL NEVER GO BACK.

The entire experience was wonderful, from the moment I walked in. Staff was friendly and cheerful to one another, and Dr. Lee was the best eye doctor I have ever been to. Truly listened to me, explained everything very clearly and wanted to ensure I got what I needed.

I looked up the contracted optometrist under my insurance, your facility came up in my city, which I was glad for; however, there was no number to call to make my appointment. The only way available was to make it online. That was very annoying. After I made the appointment, I received four texts, two emails and one phone call to confirm the appointment. Not to mention, two notifications to finish my forms online, which I did and received confirmation. That was more annoying! When I arrived at the facility, the receptionist asked if she can help me and I explained that I had a doctors appointment, she gave me paperwork to fill out, I explained that I already filled the forms online and received confirmation. She quickly, without checking, said that it was not there and to fill out the paperwork again. I really didn't want to argue with someone that clearly didn't care. After finishing, I went up to the counter and asked if the visit was covered under my insurance. She said that I had a $39 co-payment, I said I do not have a co-payment, then she back peddled and said, it's not a co-payment, it's part of the eye exam that the insurance doesn't cover. At this point, I felt that there was no integrity or transparency at your office. What if I could not pay an extra $39? This should have been disclosed up front before I walked in to have an eye exam or have been told on the phone while confirming my appointment.What made matters worse was it was that same receptionist was the one that performed the initial part of the exam and when she took me back, she said good morning, how are you doing today? What? I didn't deserve a good morning if I didn't agree to the initial scam?Frustrated, I let her finish with what she had to do because I really needed these glasses, hoping seeing the doctor would be better. It was, he was a nice guy, he was very thorough, and I was happy with his work.After my exam was done, the doctor walked me to the other side where I had to sit with a salesperson to upsell me on frames. I told her that I have my old frames that I am happy with and would like to use them to save money. She quickly said that you have a promotion, and it will cost me more money to use my old frames than to buy new ones!! In what world does that make sense? Your office is clean, your staff is not caring and not forthright with information, that fact that I can't pick up the phone and call your office for an appointment then get bombarded with a slew of texts and emails afterward is ridiculous. The up sell at the end just left a bad taste in my mouth. Needless to say I would not recommend anyone to your office nor will I be coming back.Semon M.

The staff was extremely polite and friendly. They keep you informed on all the cost during your appointment. The eye doctor made me feel real good about my appointment. Becky helped me and answered all my question about picking out glasses. I highly recommend MyEyeDr in Henderson, NC

I’ve never had an eye doctor/office staff I enjoyed as much as at the myeyeDr in Henderson. Everyone is so helpful and kind. I’m now sending my husband, parents, and coworkers there! Mary was particularly helpful in supporting me in selecting a new pair of frames. She made me feel like I was the only patient she had helped all day even though I was the last person in there of the day. I can’t recommend it enough!!
