Overpriced. Someone should introduce the management to the idea of 'moving merchandise'. Overcrowded with items that have been there for months. Used to be a good place to shop and donate to but not anymore.

This place under all previous management used to ROCK, the current ocerall manager of both this and the Landrum SC Store needs to take a page out of the book of the manager at the lighting and cabinetry building and learn how to price things reasonably so that things SELL!!! At the Hendersonville store, they have actually had to knock down walls, and bring in rolling racks to accommodate all the stuff that they have overpriced, and have therefore been unable to sell… I even have a permanent tent outside in the parking lot with completely overpriced furniture that still doesn’t sell at 60% off!!If the board had any concern about how these stores were being mismanaged, they would surely remove the manager from her position and put somebody in place that actually knows how to run a shop, there are plenty of people out there who would surely do a better job, the board just has to show a bit of interest and if they are not too old and infirm, try to remember how spacious and roomy the stores were when things were not so hideouly overpriced…

Leaving one star because it won't allow a zero star. Don't waste your time coming here. The home improvement side isn't too bad (other than things marked as "vintage" that clearly are not) but the furniture building is ridiculously overpriced. If you look back a few reviews you'll see a photo (from two weeks ago) of a tent out in the parking lot...its still there. There was furniture piled in and around it with no real protection from the weather (and its POURING rain today). Even the items "on sale" are still overpriced at the sale prices. The entire store needs to be cleared out at 75% or more to make it shoppable. There is so much piled in there it isn't CLOSE to being ADA compliant. If you look around a little you can see the problem...people looking up things online for prices. Give me a break....it's a RESALE store and they got all this for FREE but they're putting RETAIL prices on everything which explains why they have so much stuff. They need new management that will stop trying to run it as an "upscale boutique" and get back to reality. By the way, when we were there, the place REEKED of a strong chemical smell (sort of like Clorox and bathroom cleaner) probably from having to clean the stuff left out in the weather. It was so bad we had to leave because our eyes were burning. Unless you're looking for the possibility of moldy furniture, I probably wouldn't shop there. Ridiculous.

Prices are so ridiculously high. Things are nearly priced at what these used items cost brand new. Maybe if they had reasonable prices, they wouldn’t have so much overflow and lack of retail space. Really is mind blowing to see a sofa worth $3000 at a donation store. I would not donate to this store, or waste your time window shopping.

You have lost your dam minds!!! Ridiculous pricing!!!

It is a well organized store, but the pros stop there. As an avid thrifter I found all of the prices absolutely ridiculous. Don't go here expecting to pay less than what you would pay at a regular store. With glass drink-ware no less than $4-20 per glass for nothing special, you'd be better off hitting Homegoods or Target for a set. They would do so much better lowering prices and turning product faster. Seems like a very bad approach to me, and not sustainable for generating the income I'm sure they hope for.

Very rude people, looked at me as if I was not supposed to be there. Prices are extremely high for habitat for humanity. Not sure how anyone is fond of this place.

I would say to seriously consider all your options for donating items before considering this Habitat Restore. If you have home interior items know that side of the store is literally overflowing because the manager just takes absolutely everything even though there’s no place to put it.The pictures I uploaded are on Sunday morning after a recent storm that came through the area, and you can see all the furniture that was left outside in the rain, Saturday night and all day Sunday. It’s all completely ruined. Is that what you want to happen to your donated items? This store is in desperate need of new management to sell down their current inventory, reduce the ridiculous pricing (the prices are so high they always some sale going on), and be more discretionary on the donations they accept.

To be quite frank, the pricing is sinful. $7 for ONE GLASS that is literally from Dollar Tree… come on. These are donated items. Makes zero sense to price everything out of the reach of reality, which then sits and sits and sits for months, taking up space. I mean, just look around. The building is busting at the seams! Why? Because nothing is selling. Why? Greed. Price stuff FAIRLY… and you’ll sell more. Get it together, and remember your vision statement.

Two very different buildings, run very differently and it shows. The smaller building is the home improvement side full of tools, appliances etc. Everything is organized, clean and very walkable. The 2 story building is interiors with furniture, housewares, etc. This side is a VERY poorly managed store. At any given day the parking lot is packed with furniture often spending days or more exposed to heat or rain, because the director won’t say no to donations. This treatment of donations is a disservice to to the folks who make donations. The amount of clutter in this building makes the store not ADA compliant so if you have mobility issues it’ll be hard to get around. The store is always having 20-50% off the entire store because the prices are too high. The upstairs now has clothing, which who says “I’m gonna go shopping for clothes at Habitat,” but this makes an already cluttered store worse. They’ve been looking for a store manager for over a year, and it shows. I’ve heard the director say to folks that nobody wants to work, but there’s 5 or more folks scurrying around upstairs, which is an extremely disrespectful statement to make in front of your employees who are working hard. That being said, the other employees in both buildings are always nice and helpful when you ask for it. There’s some crazy items that get donated so it’s always an interesting browse, but the store needs change, starting at the top.

I was absolutely appalled at the exorbitant prices in this store. This was not an upscale antique store, yet the prices were reminiscent of one.The point of this type business is to sell items to help build homes for needy. One would think they'd price items to move. It is far more profitable to sell items swiftly at a reduced price than to house them indefinitely due to greed.Don't waste your time at this store.

Lots of cool vintage/retro stuff but WAY overpriced. I wouldn’t think twice about the prices if it were an upscale antique store, but it’s not. The place was jam packed with stuff and I assume it has something to do with the high prices. They have an upstairs too. Packed to the max with even more stuff. Found it hard to maneuver my way around and look. Felt like what I imagine a hoarder’s house would feel like. All the furniture upstairs was half off but even at half off it was only starting to get to a reasonable price. The stuff upstairs just wasn’t really cool either… Not old enough to be funky and not new enough to want. Anyway, I wouldn’t waste time going here. Check out Brevard or Asheville’s restore stores instead. Great stores, reasonable prices.

A varied and nice selection of extremely overpriced home goods. Store is so full you can barely move. Obvious mismanagement.

Way over priced for used merchandise. You can purchase cheaper, new at retail. The store is overflowing with items.

The lady at the front was super rude and literally turned her nose down while talking to us when we first came in the store. We asked for a price on some bowls that match a set I already have. She was very rude when I asked her and said I need to look it up so I need time. I told her I would wait. She then went online and looked up reseller prices. She had the wrong pattern of dishware up and I asked her if she needed the name of the particular pattern. She then rudely said I have the name and I stated that isn’t the right pattern and gave her the name. She said they’re $15.00 a bowl. Way off price. She quoted me a larger piece from the collection I told her we would buy them online since the resales were cheaper. I don’t understand why they’re charging prices that resalers are charging. It is absolutely ridiculous and the people who work there aren’t even knowledgeable enough to know what they have and sell the items at the wrong price. I like giving back to the community, but won’t go there to buy overpriced items from rude people.
