Just to be clear, I do not write reviews often and I only put stuff on the internet publicly if I believe it is worth sharing. My experience at North Main has been fantastic. I value honesty, integrity, and beneficence, which is what I have been given here. They provided a warm and welcoming environment. The service I received was completed in a very timely manner. They did not charge me to diagnose what my car needed. However, what I find most significant, is the fact that they had the opportunity to make a lot more money off of me and did not take that opportunity. I planned to have my entire timing belt, water pump, tensioner and pulleys changed out, but the shop called me to tell me that I did not need the service because it appears to have been done recently. They could have just done the service and profited off of me, yet they showed me honesty, integrity, and beneficence. This leads me to believe that this shop cares about me and my family, which is absolutely worth writing a review about. Please give North Main your business, they're just good all around.

I went in there needing two front tires and a front end alignment. The woman at the counter was not helpful at all. She was willing to do the two front tires but not the alignment and I needed the alignment so the tires wouldn't get ruined but she could care less. So I left upset their are people saying their good no their not.

I brought in my car and it was fixed by the next morning. Front end needed a lot of work, it was clunking and "floated" over bumps and hills. Replaced struts, swing arm, replaced a missing bushing and new shocks on the back that were leaking. It drives like a new car! Thanks so much!

North Main Automotive easily has been the car repair shop I have ever dropped my car off at. Their customer service is unbeatable. Their prices are very reasonable and they are very quick to get the job done. North Main’s employees are extremely nice and they have such a lovely dog, Coco. They easily have gained my loyalty for the rest of the time I will be in North Carolina!

I have been going North Main Automotive the last year to have mostly oil changes performed. The engine light came on and was surprised and alarmed thinking why would the light come on. I was out of town and went to have it checked by a mechanic. The mechanic said the code stated there is problem with the oil. He checked it and said it was overfilled by a quart. I told him I just had the oil changed. The mechanic turned off the light and said go to the shop that did the oil change. I went back to North Main Automotive and I was told the oil level is fine and all looks good. Come back if the engine light comes on. Really!!! I checked the oil, myself the next day so it rested overnight to get an accurate reading. It was overfilled by at least a quart. I am so disappointed as I thought instead of going to a dealer I wanted to support a local business. They lost my business and left an unhappy customer!!!!Service: Oil change

Dropped off vehicle Thursday afternoon for work to be done on Friday. Needed brakes. Picked up car Monday morning and they hadn’t done anything work on the vehicle. Told me maybe they will get to it today. Meaning Monday. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I made it very clear I need my car Monday morning. Giving a shop a day to do a break job should be enough. Someone could have called to alert me. Took my keys and will take my business elsewhere.So now this shop is insulting me. Real class act. I called 3 weeks in advance to have my brakes fixed. I was told no problem. Now they say they are open only half day on Friday and I should have called. I would think given a shop 3 weeks notice should be enough to fit my car in. Don’t worry I found a place to do the work.Service: Brakes

I had a car accident to the rear side of my car and I was devastated. Make a long story short, the guys repaired my 2019 Mustang Gt and I can’t even tell it had a scratch! BEST SHOP FOR ANYTHING IN WNC.

Super great service and truly amazing workmanship. My truck had quite a bit of front end damage after hitting a deer and they fixed it within 3 days. The quality of the repair was outstanding and the price quoted was exactly what was billed. I highly recommend.

Came out of a car wash (autobell) with a broken rear molding The guys at NMA were able to take time from a long line of inspections/insurance claims to fix it like new They charged me a reasonable $20 Thank you ??

I had to get a new tire after getting a screw in my tire. They got me a new tire and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will not go anywhere else for my tires from now on.

This is the third time I brought my car, I’m not sure if they have a staffing issue, and under promise and over deliver is taken seriously hereOn average, the last three times I’ve brought a vehicle here, I’ve had to call three times for them to even look at it, and they have moved towards never being able to give any kind of expected timeI’m assuming they’re still taking new vehicle’s?So two thoughts1. Someone in charge is overwhelmed and is not processing cars in the order they come in.2. Someone worked hard on a business and their son inherited it, and doesn’t wanna work enough hours or hire an administrative person who can handle reasonable customer serviceThe people have not been in polite at the front desk, but like I said, it’s promise, nothing and over deliver their,Secondly, I am returning the car for the second time with the same problem, after waiting a week and a half for them to look at it the last time, they informed me that it would be another unknown amount of time before they can order the parts to do the complete repair job, so I let them replace the ignition coil,I love my town, and I would love to give a better review, but for now I’m looking for another mechanic, and I would recommend you do the same. Maybe going to Asheville is worth it. When I was on the other side of town, I got some pretty good service at several places.Again, I’m willing to reconsider my experience if somebody wants to reach out, but this has been the worst customer experience ever. It would be better for you to tell people that you can’t take any business and that they would do better somewhere else then to instructor staff to tell people you don’t know when you’ll be able to get to it and make them beg you to plug the machine in and let them let them know what the code says
