The associates that "helped" me today were condescending and rude. I tried repeatedly to call the store and speak with a manager but could not get an answer on the phone. I was shocked by how rude the team members were to me, the young man especially. I'm a low tech person that just needed a charging cord. The team member was texting on his phone the entire time and repeatedly spoke down to me and became impatient as well. I guess it must be the Best Buy culture to act that way towards customers. I plan to go directly to the really nice people at the Apple store in the future even though it's a drive. I think one star is actually being generous, I do understand that it is very difficult to get employees these days and being rude isn't the worst thing someone can do but it does contribute to the overall vibe of the Hickory Best Buy.

I've been trying to get a PlayStation portal as a gift for my girlfriend for months. Ordered one from best buy that was supposed to arrive Saturday. Best buy cancelled my order and now it's too late to find another for my gf.Will not shop at Best buy for anything in the future.

Did a price comparison and keyboards here are significantly cheaper than anybody else on the market. They also had a working arcade cabinet there for seemingly no reason than It Was Cool.

The high score is for the costumer service here. I came here looking for a laptop charger. Unfortunately there wasn’t one in the store with the right wattage. However, a woman, I feel bad forgetting her name, but she was working near the laptops, helped me. She searched other stores that had the item, she even went the extra mile and searched stores in my delivery route (since I was a semi truck driver). I really appreciated what she did, to the woman, thank you

Enjoy browsing the store and drooling over all the stuff just wish they had more in stock then what they did but its that time of year. Maybe next year order twice as much merchandise just a heads up.

This place is really messed up we had a credit card with them the monthly payment was $30 we paid $100 a month and go to get our kid’s Christmas this year and they had closed our account with no warning come to find out the do a soft pull of credit whenever they want regardless if your a great customer and pay off fully or not! Almost never have items available in store either!!!

I was not impressed at all with the store.Went to talk to an associate about a TV and never saw anyone working in that department other than someone from the Geek Squad. And he was extremely busy, had a couple of people waiting on him. I had researched online but wanted to talk to a person in the store. Oh well, that didn't happen. I came back home and continued to research online and ordered one from Best Buy online so I could get the warranty from the Geek Squad. The stores are not impressive at all. I visited the Gastonia and Hickory stores within 3 days since we don't have a store in my hometown. The stores have really changed from what they used to be.
