Blue Skies Veterinary has knowledgeable, thoughtful, and compassionate staff. Dr Wuest is the Best Vet around. He is concerned for the pet and for you. At Blue Skies, your pet's examination and most treatments are performed in the same room. I really like and prefer this method. They will give you all the options for treatments / sometimes surgeries, but they do not pressure you. Blue Skies is definitely the Preferred Veterinary Hospital in Catawba and surrounding counties!

I’ve been going to this vet since I’ve had both my girls. They are so good to my Evie and Luna. They’ve fit me in when something big has come up and they’ve brought life back into my Evie who acts like she’s a youngin again even though she’s 10. I’ve even been able to call them when I’ve had worries and they’ve talked me through what to do or put me at ease over the phone even though I know they are so busy. Dr Wuest is wonderful and the techs are so friendly especially Kristy and Brandy they are so good at what they do. Prices are very fair and I would definitely recommend them

A few days after hurricane Helene, my 13 year old dog, who had advanced kidney disease, started to go downhill fast. Our regular vet didn't have power or water and I really needed to get blood work done ASAP. A friend suggested Blue Sky, and though I'd never been there before, they graciously accepted us as walk ins only an hour later.
The blood work was very bad, and Dr Wuest was very kind but upfront with her poor prognosis. We discussed options, which were few, and decided to try sub q fluids at home.
The techs were so kind and knowledgeable. They walked me through the process and made sure I knew how to do it. They, and the doctor, took their time, and while discussing options, shared what they would do in my situation. Everyone there was just lovely and I was so grateful they let us come. I was very surprised by how affordable they were, too.
My sweet girl was ready to leave only two days later, and I was lucky enough to have 4paws farewell come to send her off. I just can't express how grateful I am for Dr. Wuest and his staff for helping my beloved baby during such a desperate, catastrophic situation. Well worth the drive from Asheville.

From elderly to newborn; they are taking care of all our pets. Recommendations on flea remediation and prevention, emergencies, annual care, elderly care. Straightforward.Honest. And not so outrageously priced that you can't see straight.

This veterinarian and his staff are amazing and take care of my fur babies to my high standard. They are knowledgeable & caring, the office is clean. They have Urgent visits if needed.

Words can't express how much we appreciate Doc and the staff. He has been our vet for both of our Yorkies. The first one for 3 year's and now our baby girl Chloe. June 22nd she will be 17 years old. He has been just amazing!! In our opinion he is the best Veterinarian around. I would refer anyone looking for a great Veterinarian and great staff. Blue Skies is the place to go!! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

My animals have been patients of Blue Skies from 2013 up until about a month ago and it saddens me to write this review. I put my trust in this veterinarian to give the best possible care for my animals. I came home to find my dog acting strangely. So I did what any responsible pet owner would do. I called his vet and ask could they see him. I was given several different reasons as to why he couldn’t be seen and none of the reasons made any sense. I really felt like they were just giving me the run around. Only advice they offered was to take him to the emergency hospital. I explained that this is the reason my animals have a regular vet so that when they are sick they can get the medical care they need. I couldn't understand why they were open but couldn’t see my dog that was running a fever of 105.9. My dog could have died. For this reason I would not recommend using Blue Skies. I hope this review may save other pets and pet parents.

Blue Skies is by far the best vet hospital in Catawba County. I've been to several with my pets and have worked at a few others. I will say with 100% confidence...TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. The emergency vet misdiagnosed my cat and when I brought him to Blue Skies, the vet was able to give me the correct diagnosis and treatment plan. The vet techs are knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and helpful. I never wait long to be seen or to get meds. The vet knows us and our pets by name and will always ask us personal questions to get to know us better. The prices are fair and I believe is well worth the treatment we get. I will never bring my pets to another vet hospital
