I was not made aware of the cost of lost waiver coverage when I signed the contract and it was a high amount that I could not afford, but the employee who answered the phone, Faith, fixed the issue and saved me a drive. There are good people out there.

We rented through AAA and I was a little concerned after reading the reviews. Do not be concerned! We had a wonderful experience and we will definitely rent here again. Staff was friendly, pickup and drop off were super easy. Vehicle was very clean. Thank you Hertz of Hickory!

Had a reservation for 2+ weeks. Only vehicle on the lot had mechanical issues as soon as I drove it. Returned back within minutes of leaving. Was told they didn't have any other vehicles and could not get anything by end of day. This was at noon...

Placed a reservation on a car that they didn't even have. As the Seinfeld episode said, you take the reservation to get a car. Went by the next day and seemed like even though they took the reservation, they couldn't find it in the system. Had to show my email on the details.

Having a car accident is already a stressful time but dealing with people that don't want to assist you or are short and borderline disrespectful takes it to another level. I only dealt with Hertz because of my insurance but I would never deal with this company again. Spend your money somewhere else!

They put a couple of charges on my sister's credit card without telling her one of $90 because she had to switch cars because of flat tire. Had to wait over one hour to even get waited on and they weren't busy. If you rent car from here make sure you pay attention to all the extra charges.

Helpful staff. Faith, the manager, worked the phones on my behalf through a complex insurance situation with cheerfulness and patience, even while she helped other customers. I'd definitely rent from this Hertz location again.

READ the REVIEWS!!! We reserved and prepaid for our minivan 3 months ahead. When we arrived they only had one (2019 Dodge Caravan) and the other minivans all supposedly had a minor windshield crack and were on hold. The employee told us we could swap it out somewhere else. During our road trip we discovered the tag was expired back in June and when I returned it the same lady who rented out the vehicle said she knew! She also sounded upset that the car had to be cleaned and complained about the food crumbs in the third row seats. The washer fluid ran out within the first few hours of driving and roadside assistance told us to buy our own and keep the receipt! The first roadside lady named Shan acted like she took care of reserving a replacement vehicle for us at the Memphis airport but when we arrived the manager there was rude and refused to swap. I called roadside again and Linda said per the notes she did not complete the exchange form. She couldn’t resolve the issue and told me I can speak to my local pickup Hertz when I return the vehicle and ask for a credit or whatever. When I returned it the manager told me she couldn’t do it and gave me a number to call. When I spoke to billing all they could offer was a $75 voucher that I will NEVER USE because I’m not returning to Hertz.

I had the best experience at Hertz in Hickory! Faith the manager took excellent care of me. She was pleasant, professional and walked me through the whole process. Allie walked me around the vehicle I was renting allowing me to check it over and made sure I was satisfied with my rental. These ladies do an amazing job running this location. I will definitely be back! Thank you both for a awesome experience !AJ

I was supposed to pickup a cargo van as a rental that was setup with the fleet company and hertz from their hickory location. I called that morning like their text said, and they said they didn't have one and would call me back. I went to the location about an hour later and was told they did not do cargo vans at this location. If they don't do them why did their system allow a rental reservation to go through for one.Don't come to the hickory location if you need a cargo van. I'm now stuck on the phone with fleet and rental company trying to find a vehicle to use for work.
