My family and I have never experienced such horrible customer service anywhere. The owner, Crystal, and her employees are beyond rude and condescending. My dad purchased over 4k worth of furniture on Oct 7th and paid in full, up front. I was present, as was my mother and brother. We were told everything was in stock in their warehouse in Advance, NC an hour away and the delivery team made weekly deliveries. That was perfect for us because my dad had just moved into an assisted living apartment and only had a bed as it was an unexpected transition. When he didn't hear from them on the status of his order, my dad started calling and this is when the excuses started: "your furniture should be there by the end of the week", "there was an issue in the warehouse", "the sofa/chaise you bought is actually out of production and has to be made from scratch." Then they started saying they'd have to call him back (family emergencies, in meetings, the person who handles it is on vacation, etc). The bistro table with chairs and recliner were finally delivered on Oct 31st. My dad did not like the fabric on the recliner so In Your Home re-sold it to someone at my dad's facility. We went to the showroom that same day and ordered a (more expensive) recliner. We were told, again, that there were plenty in stock in the warehouse and to give it a few days to arrive. We had heard that story before but, hey, benefit of the doubt. The rest of the week went by with no updates, so my dad called the first of the next week. He was then told it actually wouldn't be there til the NEXT week. This is when I got involved. I called the store and spoke with the owner on Nov. 7th. She was immediately combative, offered zero apologies and continued to repeat she "couldn't just snap her fingers and have it show up." Mind you, I had never spoken to this woman before and was taken aback by her aggressiveness. During this conversation, I told her we wanted a concrete delivery date for the recliner, and that they could take as long as needed with the sofa/chaise. She then told me, "my customer service girls can not promise you a delivery date, but I CAN and the recliner will be there Friday." I even repeated this to make sure I understood correctly. At this time she also agreed to loan my dad a chair off the floor until his arrived. She instructed me to have my dad cover the loaned chair before he sat in it (her 3 huge dogs sit on all the furniture at their store so I took that pretty offensively). Friday, Nov. 10th (the supposed delivery date) came and went with no phone call and no recliner. On Monday, Nov. 13th, my dad and I visited the store in person. The sales rep he had worked with the whole time, Brandy (who my dad actually liked thus far), refused to help us even though she was standing right in front of us. She told us to talk to the rep next to her. A truly appalling way to treat a paying customer. Both reps denied ever giving us Friday as a delivery date (which was true; THEY didn't, the owner DID) and said I was given the delivery date "to the store." Please tell me how stupid you think I am to believe I'd be given a delivery date to the STORE and not to the person who bought the furniture. After showing up in person, the recliner and sofa (that we were told hours earlier was still being made) was delivered that evening. I posted a Google review detailing the situation and Crystal responded with threats to upload camera footage on social media (of us shopping for furniture? my dad writing you a check for a lot of money?), copies of shipping dates, etc. Intimidation tactics will not work on me. She also threatened to call her personal friend that works at my dad's assisted living facility. My elderly father has not so much as raised his voice at her or any of the people who work there so I'm not sure why or what she hoped to accomplish with that. I'll wrap this up by saying, there are countless other terrible reviews here on Yelp, and on Goog

The customer service is atrocious, an associate Cynthia hung up on me twice when I questioned the sales process of my items after the finance company told me they shouldn't be charging me. When I called to ask a question she told me everyone that could help would be back tomorrow and hung up, when I attempted to call back they refused to answer the phone, DO NOT SHOP HERE THEY ARE CHEATING PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY FOR PRODUCTS NOT RECEIVED. You would think a business would want to assist their customers I guess not.

Brandy is the sales lady who helped my mom and I. Mama knew exactly what she was looking for to purchase. Brandy went above and beyond to help. Also, she was very patient and good spirited. She found exactly what Mama wanted ! Brandy was appreciative of our business and we were appreciative of her knowledge and helpfulness.We did meet some of the other employees there also. A great group of people.I highly recommend In You Home Furnishings !

Bought Furniture from this company in the month of April , I did not receive my furniture until June, when they delivered my furniture it was not even what we ordered, I contacted the warehouse and spoke with a lady name Brandy I told her this is not what we ordered and she said yes it is. We went back-and-forth over the phone for a few minutes and I refused the order. She told me there would be a restocking fee I said I'm not paying a restocking fee. She put me on hold and went and talk to her manager. The manager told her that they would order the right stuff and there would be an up charge of $400. I objected at first, but then had to go along with it because all sales are final and you can't get your money back. They had me over a barrel and they knew it, they took it advantage of me. they never mentioned to me that the online sales of the same furniture were thousands of dollars cheaper. I brought this to their attention and they said they have no control over those prices which I know is not accurate. Why would you say such a thing to a customer? Why would you not try to help the customer out with their concerns when they're making almost $3000 off of you Never buy furniture from this company! A total rip off artist, run as fast as you and go somewhere else in the area, there's a lot of competition right now because of the prices with furniture, I will never ever step in the door of this place again. Another thing that was an nuisance to me was the big dogs running around inside the building, big gigantic poodles laying on the furniture , laying on the beds. Such terrible customer service.

Great staff very helpful and patient with me because I was unsure of my room size.I definitely would recommend In Your Home Furnishings for all your furniture needs.Will post pictures when my order arrives.

They were so helpful with our new furniture purchase, for our new home. They helped us stay within our budget. A great place to purchase quality furniture at a great price. Definitely going back to get more.

This has been a nightmare dealing with these folks, they delivered the wrong furniture and then when we called and told them they said well we can change out the knobs on the furniture!! We said no! Then they said they were going to charge me a re-stocking fee! We said no way! They ordered what we wanted and added another 359.00 to the order! I ordered my stuff in April and we just got this past Saturday June the 3rd! I received my invoice from Synchrony credit and we were billed almost $2,000.00. I went online and saw the same thing for a different price, I brought that to their attention and they refused to adjust the bill! They have not been good to work with, the manager will not even talk to me, I have emailed and called with no resolution, Don't buy furniture from these folks, if you do be aware that once you sign the dotted line all sales are final and they will not work with you on anything!! Stay away from this place!

What a great place to buy from. Great people and awesome furniture. They let us browse a few until they approached us. No pushy sales people. Was asked what we were looking for and they made it happen.

I was looking for an Ashley recliner and reclining sofa that we found at Ashley Home. There is a sign on the door that says something like give them chance to match anyone's price. As you walk in the store, there is a wide assortment of all types of furniture. I was greated by Brandy a few minutes after I walked in.Brandy showed me the exact same furniture as Ashley Home in Hickory for about 900.00 less. The delivery price was about 80.00 to 100.00 less too.She did not have the furniture that I wanted in the building but had plenty in a near by warehouse and could deliver in a week or so. In Home Furnishings will pick up my old furniture for 25.00 a piece and donate it if possible. I bought the 5 year accidental warranty too. Brandy was able to see my credit card and I think she could see the items that I had saved in my cart on line with all my information. She had my order ready and set up my financing in minutes. I think my total savings was a 1000.00 or more. i was not in the store very long at all. Outstanding prices on what I bought and outstanding service. Thank you Brandy

I had ordered a dining set and delivery was delayed. As it was all sales final and delivery was not possible as stated that delivery was expected in 6 to 8 weeks they worked with me to chose another dining set if I did not want to wait for the one I had first ordered. I was informed weekly of the status of my order. After 12 weeks I decided to look at other options for a dining set. I did find one on their showroom floor and purchased it. I suggest you pay attention on the the back of your invoice to the contract signed. Customer service was good and I would not hesitate to purchase from In Your Home Furnishing again.

The process was quick and painless! I was very lucky to find a beautiful chest that was offered at a reduced price because of some minor damage. The damage isn't visible at all, and the price was a steal! They were very pleasant and took great care when loading it into my truck. Thanks for the wonderful transaction!

First , the staff was very friendly and courteous, and welcomed me into their showroom, which is very nice! They were not trying pressure me into deciding what I wanted . What a rip-off. They are extremely expensive and their dogs run all over the place. Would not be surprised to find them lounging in the furniture. The lady owner is sooo rude. How they are still in business I'll never know.

Love! Love! Love In Your Home Furnishings. The staff are very helpful standing by with tape measures and any information needed to make daunting furniture purchases easier. With loads of decorative items I was able to purchase everything I needed for my home at one location instead of running around all over town too. I purchased a large sectional and an entertainment center that was wrapped and expertly packed with such care in my cargo trailer for the ride home. Can’t wait until I can go to the new location !!
