The environment here is way better than at my last gym near the crawdads stadium. Everyone is treated equally and respectfully. The gym goers are nice, and even when it's packed, it's not nearly as packed as Xcel gets. And no one hogs equipment for hours at a time!

It’s a very nice place to get a workout in, friendly environment and staff. Wished they would clean the men’s bathroom/locker room a bit more but overall, a well-deserved location to workout.

Love this gym. It's not too crowded and plenty of equipment for the most part. Love the back room and there's also a women's only area and group fitness room but I have not used those. The towel service is nice but my only complaint is that I prefer a steam sauna over the infrared but I don't know if that's really a complaint because most gyms don't have a sauna.

I have been going to SouthSide for quite sometime now & i am there EVERYDAY. Equipment is nice, clean environment, & overall a good vibe to workout in.DOWNSIDE: Only one employee has a nasty attitude & is little to NO HELP ever **, limited amount of parking & equipment so when it’s packed - expect to stand around waiting for certain equipment. This is a medium sized gym in a vastly growing city.

This place has all the equipment you could ever ask for, full of great people that aren't intimidating and Lamar and his team keep are constantly ensuring its sparkling clean.Can't recommend it enough.

I go to multiple gyms and Southside has the best equipment, staff, and the people who go there actually pick up after themselves unlike workout anytime (seriously that place is disgusting only go when it's late since they are 24/7) the protein shakes up front are cheaper and taste way better than smoothie king too.

Great gym, friendly staff, the hours are insanely frustrating though. Weekend hours should be the same as during the week, or just make it 24?

Everything in that gym is on point from the staff to the equipment to the showers. I left for a few months for a 24 hour gym and I hated it being away from my friends at south side to the crappy equipment and staff of that gym. I’m back and I’m finally happy with my workout!

Nice, well appointed and maintained gym. Definitely one of the better gyms I've been a member of. Employees are helpful and friendly.The only downside is the hours, other than it being a bit too small for the amount of members that are there during the busier times. They seem to cater more to office hours. And if you don't have weekends off, forget about getting a workout on Saturday and Sunday because they're closed by 5pm. 7pm would be a reasonable time to close on weekends, since many of us work non-office jobs.Also, not sure why they closed early on black Friday since it's not a holiday. And since they didn't update the Google listing, I wasted an hour of my evening trying to get a workout before the weekend. Only to find that they closed 4 hours early for some reason.

I wanted to express my frustration regarding the membership rate increase. I understand facilities have to increase cost to cover increase expenses for upgrades. However, in this case there is such a lack of that I cannot understand what this money is going towards. While I do appreciate the new pieces of equipment, we still need heavier dumbbells (up to at least 160lb) and competition style Olympic bars. There is especially a need for mirrors on the backside of the pit, in front of the rack.Additionally, and more urgently the urinals are not flushing correctly and thus holding urine and producing a bad odor.Ceiling lights are out near the punching station.And what is going on with the sauna?!?Why aren’t these issues being fixed. And again what is our increased money going towards. How can we charged more when we are not getting more or in the case of the sauna and the urinals even getting what we originally paid for?
