Stopped by today to exchange/return two dresses.
Got to customer service and right off bat I show her the return code from app/receipt...she didn't check it before she stated it couldn't be returned because it was cleance. She said it was a final sale. The order did not state that nor did it state when I clicked for in-store return. I wasn't arguing but I told her that and to scan my code..she still didn't and proceeded to ask another assistant.
This young woman took over and simply scanned the code and made the return.
This seems to a running theme these days for Belk stores and as a customer of over 40 years I find it annoying and offensive that they seem to always try to avoid you returning an item. I rarely do refunds..I usually always just exchange and that's not frequent.
So I'd love to give the clerk who helped so efficiently 5 stars but after this happening so often I had to make this review.
Please Belk..you should do better ...no where else seems to have issues with this with the receipts in hand for goodness sake!!

Very nice store, seems to be kept very clean. Only thing is if you’re shopping in an area where you need assistance (jewelry, fragrances, etc) and the employees are conversing, you will NOT get any help and you will be walked past multiple times without even being acknowledged. Customer service isn’t high priority here after 5pm

Came in and picked up a suit on short notice. Good selection of colors and size. Everything you need. Shortage of cashiers but I'd recommend checking them out.

Been a customer of Belk for 50 years. Shopped found clothes to purchase. I am a man and you have to checkout at the girls department. There is also a long line in the perfume department, I stood in line for 30 minutes. This Belk has no customer service anywhere. Sad day for Belk.
