Found a piece of foil or whatever it is, in my food. I've enjoyed the food, but after this, I'm not taking any chances going forward!

TLDR? Don't waste your time and money.Does this look like double brisket in both? ? No? Does it look like toast that took 15 minutes to toast? No? ? Would you be happy to pay $66 for this disaster of a meal that included sour slaw? Would you have paid an extra $9 (undisclosed ? until the receipt was reviewed) for the "upgrades" since the requested items weren't available? Would you have been satisfied to receive all of this with a side of attitude while you waited for toast that wasn't toasted? ?Huge shout out to City Barbeque for reminding me that the best BBQ places in NC are local and served with a free side of customer service. I'll reserve City BBQ for when I am looking for up charges, out of stocks, disappointment and a free side of attitude.

Came in with my family. Tried to order food for everyone. We were told that we could not get anything fried. They were shutting down the fryers to clean them. It is 8:00 pm. When asked how long before they would be up. Was told they don't know. So my kids could not order chicken tenders and fries. We were also unable to order hush puppies with our food.

Ordered the City Sampler, slaw, baked beans, hush puppies, mac & cheese, banana pudding & peach cobbler. All of it was absolutely delicious. Food arrived hot with generous portions. I couldn't stop gorging myself, I ate so much, put me to sleep. Highly recommend.

I got the barbecue chicken which was moist and flavor full the brisket was nice but the portion could have been better. The fried okra was not breaded well it just looks like it was dropped in oil and that's it very greasy. I sat at drive thru for 6 min before my order was taking and then waited 16 min for the food after I paid. Sorry I'll keep going to bar b q Joe's on South main in high Point they have bigger portions and the brisket is amazing and more menu choices the hamburger steak with gravy and onions is yummy.

???Hello people who read these reviews. I have some things to tell you about this particular CityBBQ. From it's food quality and to its staff. The food is not worth the price. I know that some will disagree and that's ok. The food quality has gone down hill. The main issue is them running out of popular food items like Ribs, Pork, Turkey, and even Brisket too early in the day or night. I would suggest getting BBQ elsewhere. The replacement General Manager ,Brandon Branch, who took over for Steve Hoover when he left, has let this place get this way. Kendall Vaunt, the assistant manager, is also to blame. If you want ghetto food and ghetto service, then you are at the right place. Customer service there is not up to even CityBBQ standards. The shift leaders there are a joke, Jessica and Ashley. They do not care about the customers......just their paychecks. This applies to all the managers there. If they truly cared about their customers, it would clearly show. The restaurant stays nasty from front to back. The lack of respect between team members and sometimes customers shows. If you want good food at a reasonable price and better service, I recommend you go elsewhere. This particular CityBBQ does not deserve your time and money. Most of these workers here are drug addicts. Brandon and Kendall refuse to hire any real quality team members. They would rather hire ghetto employees or have people who transfer from near by stores that are lazy workers than hard workers. The ratio of black to white employees is 98% black and 2% white or other. This was not the case when Steve Hoover was the General Manager. But I do know that each person must find this out for oneself. Not every customer will have a bad experience but read the one star ⭐ reviews for information. All that CityBBQ really cares about is making money. Not it's customers. This includes CityBBQ Corporate out of Ohio. Last but not least, everything I have said is true and a fact. I can not tell you not to do business here, but it is my duty to let you know the behind the scenes. I just recommend people to use some common sense and eat elsewhere, where they appreciate your business and make sure you are important to them. Just remember....food quality, customer service, and restaurant cleanliness has declined since all the real hard workers are no longer working there. Find out for yourself. Everyone have a blessed day.??? Ignore all the fake reviews. That will not improve CityBBQ at all.

Picked up a delicious family meal to go recently, and it did not disappoint. The meal was aid to feed 4-6 and included 2 pounds of meat, I picked 1 pound brisket and 1 pound of pulled pork. It also included (6) hamburger buns, and 2 quart sized sides, we picked potato salad and 3 cheese mac and cheese. I placed the order on the app, was told it would be ready in 25 minutes, got there on time and only had to wait a few additional minutes. and arrived when it was scheduled to be ready. Got home with my mouth watering from all the great smells coming out of the bag. Everything looked great and was just as delicious as I anticipated. The meats were perfectly tender and I brought several of their sweet bbq sauces which complimented the meat perfectly. The max and cheese was incredibly rich and creamy and the mashed potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. Despite being part of a chain, this spot is a new favorite for me. The food was great, pricing a bit more reasonable than other bbq spots and as an added bonus they're open on Sunday...it's always hard to find bbq on Sunday's in NC. I'm sure we'll be going back and trying some of their other sides when the cravings hit again. This is one I'd recommend to others looking for tasty bbq

The fried okra was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. It appeared to be hand-breaded with flour like I make at home, but with no appreciable amount of seasoning. The mac and cheese was okay. Sides are not included in the meals. They also did not give us the supposed discount for ordering two sides. The brisket was cold when I was called up to get it. I don't know how that happens but maybe they should plate it last. It was totally bereft of seasoning. The pulled pork was warm (not hot), but it also lacked any kind of seasoning. I'm a white person that embraces seasoning, and this was like my grandparents summoned THEIR ancestors to somehow make it as flavorless as possible. Sauce should compliment flavors that have already been built. Since there were none I did not bother with their sauces beyond a taste. They tasted like store-bought, or something restaurants buy from Cisco. Smoke flavor is good, but it is not a replacement for seasoning either. The restaurant was clean. Service was fairly quick. As a former chef I would advise against eating here. Their prices don't reflect their lack of flavor or their inability to pay attention to details. A layperson might think they don't like BBQ if this was the first place they ever tried.

The mac n cheese and okra were the star of the show. The meats are tender but they are bland. No seasoning at all, the sauce is just OK. I tried 3 sauces, the original, swine wine, and brush fire, of the 3 the swine wine was the one I liked most, it was closer to Lexington style dip.

Typical fast food environment. BBQ was good but really no flavor to be had without sauce.

Went to City BBQ Saturday night. Restaurant was not very busy. Customers were all waiting on their orders to be completed. My order finally came available and was missing the hushpuppies. Went back to the counter and had to wait for an order. The hush puppies were the worst I have ever had. My entree was the 1/2 chicken and was very tender and delicious. The Mac and cheese was good. We also had the BBQ sandwich which was on par with other local BBQ restaurants. The building has BBQ pits on site, which is a criteria for a good BBQ restaurant.
