This hotel is quite disappointing especially for a Marriott. Houseekeeping didn't even leave clean towels our last night. I was going to call down to get them and the phone didn't work. Upon checkout, they emailed a receipt charging me extra money that nobody has explained what was for. I prepaid for the room which included all taxes, fees, etc and now no one will return my calls to explain the extra charge and when I get a hold of the front desk they haven't a clue. This is so close to the University we has thought this would be our go to hotel but nope!!

Disappointed stay. Desk lamp not working, exposed electr. Wires. Bar was closed because they sent staff home. Grabbed beer at reception but no bottle openers in room and shampoo bottle in shower was empty. Yikes, and we are Bonboy members.......they only used the 3rd floor for folks staying.

This was the absolute WORST hotel my family and I have ever stepped foot into. We arrived at 4:30 and while checking in we discovered our room was not ready due to understaffing. Brushed it off, whatever. We called back at about 7:30 and were told that our room was ready. When we arrived back at about 9:30 and checked in, I went to our room and it was FILTHY. There were NO sheets, pillows on the ground, trash everywhere, and dirty towels on the floor. When we went to ask for a different room, we were told there were no other rooms available. Lilliam Galvez and Ebony couldn’t have done worse as people that work in customer service. They had zero solutions as to where my family and I were going to sleep and Lilliam decided to ignore my family and I when she wasn’t able to provide us with our basic needs that we paid for and made reservations for. They had zero care for the comfort of their customers and showed zero remorse or respect to the fact that they made a problem for us. Every other person around us got their rooms and had zero issues, but when it came to my family, 2/3 people of color, we had zero help and got treated like we meant nothing. It had somehow become our responsibility to find a place to sleep when they had told us our room was ready when it wasn’t, wouldn’t clean our room because there were ZERO housekeeping staff, and on top of everything gave an attitude to us for the problems that were 100% their fault. We will not be returning and if I could leave a 0 star review, I would. People with such lack of knowledge, training, common sense, kindness, and zero respect shouldn’t even be hired in the first place. This was extremely unprofessional and whoever is hiring these people needs to get talked to because what are you doing hiring these unmotivated, senseless people? Do better and if you’re going to work customer service, do your simple tasks that a 15 year old can do.

Made reservation for Jan. 17, 2025. Arrived at 4:30 pm and learned that our room wasn’t ready due to short staffing. (No problem, we’ll come back after dinner). Left and called at 8:00pm. Was told that our room was ready. Returned at 9:00pm. Was given a room with no bed linens and prior guests’ trash on the floor. (OK, what can you do to fix this?). Desk staffs’ only response was that housekeeping was gone for the day. Desk staff (Ebony and Ms. Galvez) acted utterly powerless to resolve the problem and wholly unwilling to make ANY effort to find alternate lodgings. I had to DEMAND that Ebony contact other nearby Marriot properties, contact her manager, contact other hotel chains, etc. (Ms. Galvez simply decided to ignore me and talk around me to other guests). Each step involved overcoming staffs’ reluctance while they acted as if I was being unreasonable for not wanting to sleep on a bare mattress among the prior guests’ trash. WE had to call around to find availability at the Courtyard Greensboro Airport. FINALLY got Ebony to get us reservations at the other Courtyard (Ms. Galvez was still ignoring us). Tavia at the Greensboro Courtyard was helpful, empathetic, resourceful, and courteous. The manager in High Point should be replaced with Tavia and Tavia should be given authority to clean house and get things right.

I was told my room, for a night, would be $190. However, there is a $20 hold also taken, that I was told would be refunded to me upon checking out. However, it's been 3 weeks and counting and I have not received a dime.

We were passing through after going to to the zoo and looked specifically for a hotel with an indoor pool. Instead of pre booking we drove to the hotel after the zoo to make sure there was a pool. I went in and asked, do yall have a pool? The receptionist said, ohh yes and it’s open until 10pm. So I get the room and after getting our bags and family to the elevator we pass the pool room that has a sign that says the pool is temporarily closed. We get up to the room and call down to ask about the pool. The receptionist acts like this is the first she has heard the pool is closed. She says she’ll call the maintenance crew and find out. My wife looks through the room and finds the bathroom was not cleaned and disgusting. We go back down to the lobby and inquire about the pool, the receptionist says the pool is not open this evening or tomorrow- Saturday, November 9-10th. Obviously the pool was closed before we got there and she lied to make the room sale. My wife let them know about the bathroom and toilet and asked them to check into it while we went to eat dinner. We came back and the toilet was cleaned but the rest of the bathroom was left untouched.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s way overpriced and outdated. The beds are uncomfortable. The pillows feel like a folded up flat sheet in a pillow case. The floors are disgusting.
I wouldn’t have said anything and chalked it all up to a bad, last minute hotel had the person that checked us in not completely LIED about the pool after we specifically went to make sure. I would give zero stars and I predict you’ll soon be just like the abandoned mall and businesses you sit next to.
Rooms: Feces on the toilet seat
Noteworthy details: The receptionist lies.

It's actually pretty good for a Courtyard. Super convenient if visiting HPU.

I made a reservation here, and when I showed up the night of my reservation, there were no rooms available. I even called the day of my reservation to confirm it. I had to turn around and drive 15 minutes in the direction I had just come from to stay at another hotel for the night.
They said they would compensate me for my trouble, but after repeated attempts of reaching out, and them ignoring me, I gave up.

My stay at Courtyard by Marriott High Point was enjoyable, and the room was definitely a treat. For the price point, it was a very decent hotel with a comfortable and spacious room! The lobby and community areas were beautiful with comfortable seating. Unfortunately, the pool room was closed for remodeling, and I did not look at the gym room. The hotel breakfast restaurant was vacant when I visited and waited for service for quite some time, so I went to a local IHOP instead. The breakfast prices at the hotel were a little high for the quantity of food that appeared to be served. However, I did enjoy some cocktails in the evening and the bar service was good.My room was the highlight of my stay. The bed was comfortable and all room amenities were great. Plus, I had a courtyard view from a balcony that I could sit on.

This is the BEST hotel in the area. The staff are so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, and because of its location it is quiet for a great night sleep but also I feel very safe here. It's also very nice to have a Target and McDonald's so close by to pop over to. Definitely a place I would recommend to friends and family.

The biggest issue was worn out mattresses and I had read this in a review. Front desk staff are very helpful, bistro is understaffed. Our stay was fine but not stellar.

This place is so suspicious, I wouldn’t recommend. We had multiple charges added to our reservation that staff could not explain. The first night, we received a fraud alert from our bank because someone tried to swipe our card info for $300 at 4:00 a.m. I addressed this at the front desk & asked for a manager. I was told that there was no manager there for the weekend and she wouldn’t be back until Monday. The day of check out, we were told our 2 night stay that we initially booked for $566 was now $760. I reserved this room in July, and I was told it was now $760 because of an event they had going on this weekend. I asked for the manager again & I was told she wasn’t there and that the manager would call me back. I told them that wasn’t an option and had to ask for someone to call the manager. Instead of just honoring the price, it was a whole situation trying to get the original price we booked for. Would not recommend coming here at all unless you want your card swiped for fraudulent activities.Safety: Your credit card won’t be safe
