While my son was in the hospital on life support his phone was wrapped in the linen. We called hospital security on October 1st when it went missing so we can have a report on file. We tracked his phone to the semi truck at the loading deck of the hospital and we were told we will have to wait for it to be unloaded at the linen facility and it will be returned. The following day we tracked his phone and it made it to the High Point facility on October 2nd. We reached out to HandCraft through email on October 2ndnotifying them of his phone being at their facility. We only received the automated response email and nothing else. Needless to say the hospital never received the phone and it's been almost 2 months. It took me reaching out a 2nd time on November 19th to hear from an actual employee(such a sweet lady) and leaving a Google review to hear from the General Manager.

Their linen has dried stains and gowns have rips in them, among other issues. They have bags for reject linen but is anyone really checking? and almost always when it rains we get damp/wet linen even with plastic wrap, and when its not raining we still get damp linen at the very bottom of the cart which causes mildew stains. Who wants to serve SICK folk damp or mildew linen. And lets not talk about the fold of the linens. If done by a machine someone is NOT making sure the metrics are set according to SOPs. They may also have a high employee turnover rate. After the pandemic there has been NO consistency in the proper fold and packaging of our hospital linen...NONE ?

My 80 year old brother-in-law lost his wallet while in the hospital with 5 broken ribs. It apparently was in the linens on his hospital bed in Greenville NC and was subsequently transported to HandcraftServices. Kayla White found his wallet after it had gone through the wash at the High Point location. Using info from his drivers license, she exerted great effort in tracking down his phone number and left a message for him. After hearing her message on his home phone answering machine, I was able to contact Kayla to arrange the return of the wallet, which contained several credit cards and a sizeable amount of cash. Once again, Kayla went above and beyond in her efforts to make sure it was returned in a manner acceptable to me and to her company. My brother-in/law arrived back home today after 3 weeks of hospitalization & rehab - and his wallet, with the contents intact, was waiting for him, thanks to Kayla. All too often we hear stories these days about people scamming and taking advantage of elderly people. But Kayla is the type of person who renews our faith in others through her exhibition of honesty, integrity, high moral character, and compassion for others. She is to be commended for the excellent representation of her company’s business model and mission!

During my 3 months as a maintenance tech 2, I saw 5 maintenance workers get fired and one did not show up after his first day. This place expects you to not have a life outside of work. Our schedule was 545am-430pm but they would often ask you to come in earlier and you never left before 6, sometimes as late as 730 if not later. The company does not care, you can see it on indeed and Glassdoor, they reply the same generic response every time. This company is corrupt from the inside and out, it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt from their blatant safety violations or they get a health code violation because they will let hospital linen fall on the nasty floor and still send it out.Edit: on 04/27/2023, I was called and asked to remove my reviews. This call was not from Handcraft but a 3rd party staffing agency that I will not name, but was employed by. While I appreciate their response to my initial review, I just have to disagree as I have had a phone call with the osha inspector that went to the facility and he told me that another person filed a separate, but nearly identical safety complaint, and while in the facility he witnessed first hand the unsafe practices that they tell their mechanics to do.

Worst place to work for very unprofessional management. A lady known as Paty is very hostile, verbally abusive and a work bully. She thinks she owns employees and expects new hires to meet production standards the first hours of the first day of work. Her attitude may be abusive because her employees might not have legal status to work in the us. I will report Hand crafts practices of management and how this is condone and acceptable by the company. I will contact BBB and any organizations that protect employees from employer abuse. The turn over speaks for itself of such behavior by management. I hope handcrafts clients are not condoning such behavior.
