This used to be the number one vet but now they have raised their rates so high I feel like it cost just as much to go to the emergency hospital. I have had my pet with them for over 10 years and every time I want to get my pet in because he has pancreatitis and needs to be seen right away they want to charge me an extra 185$ and I have to wait all day in office to be seen. I also have gotten my pet groomed there always I like Kim she does a great job but now I called the day before to reschedule due to work and they want to charge me for cancelling. They used to be a great vet and fairly priced. I recommended them to everyone but now. I think it’s time to find. New vet.

I've used High Point Veterinary Hospital for going on 6 years. This past December I had to put my 19 year old cat down, they were so very compassionate. They provided him with excellent care during his many visits due to his diabetes. The Dr's, Techs and office staff are top notch and I wouldn't think about taking my pets anywhere else.

PROS:- Great Doctors, very polite, courteous, caring and take the time address all your concerns.- Excellent medical care, they kniw what thet are doing and do it well- I TRUST them with my dogs- MOST of the staff is supper polite- MOST off staff are super caring and show a lot of sympathy, empathy and compassion. I had a pet pass-away at home and when I brought her in.... I was overwhelmed with their compassion- My dogs love them (except in waiting room)CONS:- Even with an appointment you will wait forever.... I've never been there and wait less tgan 45-min.- Outdated, waiting room & exam rooms need to be updated...update furniture, paint, artwork, computer/medical record systems.... med staff should use tablets. Layout of waiting room is horrible and causes chaos when checking in/out.- Cleanliness & Sanitation... I've never seen techs/doctors wash their hands prior to touching my dogs... Exam room table's should be sanitized between each patient. Scale needs to be cleaned more often. Floors $ outdoor areas need cleanring- $$ Prices, keep going up! Very expensive place-Loyalty is NOT appreciated... if you are a loyal reg customer and you have an emergency, they should make an effort to see you instead of making you go to an urgent care that costs even more.- Checkout... its slow, disorganized and a cluster-f if there is more than 1 person waiting, another bottleneck area just like checking in.- Crossing the rainbow bridge; I was not offered any information. A pamphlet should be give to customer with options and info on purchasing urns . Info on creamation process and cremation options such as: private, communal, bio-cremation... most of this prob would be from outside vendors... if you include the vendors pamphlet/flyers/info.... the vendors will usually offer discounts to your customers- Appreciation, their mindset is they did you a favor rather than appreciating your buisness.- In-house Review/audit, they should email you after each visit and ask you to do an internal review on each visit.- Google Reviews, emailing customers and paying $10 Amazon card if they leave a review is tacky- Rude Front Desk, 90% of all staff is great, some front desk staff are rude and never answer phone.- NO clinic days, there should be a "clinic" day where it's just for discounted vaccinations... quick low cost in and outIf it wasn't for the excellent care and great doctors... I would go elsewhere...if prices keep rising I will have no choice.I personally think they need to move their buisness (stay local) Build a facility that has bigger waiting room with separate entrance & exit. State of the art equipment. Updated computer system. Since you do boarding & grooming then make that area more pleasing and exciting for the patients/owners. I would board my dog there but it looks more like prison Make an area for a self-serve dog wash (I would pay to use the self-wash after every visit) . You charge customers a lot and there is a HUGE demand for all of these services..... no reason you wouldnt be able to obtain funding.Allow Vet techs (RVT) to give vaccines, blood draws and microchipping ...to speed up visits ... offer internships for vet professionals.I believe these doctors have the ability to be the PREMIER Veterinary center in the area.... There needs to be a manager who is willing to shake things up and focus on things I listed..I will continue to go here because of the doctors....

This is my dogs' PCP, lol. They love it here. Medical, boarding, and grooming in 1 stop. I love that the workers know my dogs by name as soon as we walk in and give them all the puppy hugs and kisses. I must add, my dogs love it here too! We initially went to a more boutique Vet and it was a waste of time and money. They did everything to look like they were "boutique". In actuality, High Point Vet was just what they needed. And, they are very affordable!

My husband sat in the office for 2hrs to get my dogs nails trimmed. They won't let you make an appointment for nail trims. My husband sat there no one was left in the office but my husband. I got my dogs records and am going somewhere else. I have used them for alot of years and this was just unacceptable. There also was dog piss in the floor that took them forever to clean up. They are not the professional veterinarian that they once was. I'll never go back.
