“This place is solid. They have a great selection of tasteful and attractive home goods. While we do not live in Highlands, Cherry the owner and one of her interior decorators Allan, helped us choose some affordable and stylish accent chairs and pillows for our living room. I have never purchased furniture out of town but the value and selection they were able to provide us could not be beaten at home. Their prices are very reasonable and again, the whole place is tastefully stocked with good quality home goods. Whether you live in Highlands or are just visiting, Cabin Couture is a great place to visit for anything from a unique gift, ornate rug, furniture or full service design consultation. We have been pleased with our purchases and will be sure to visit next time we visit Highlands.”

“What a beautiful store! We bought gorgeous Turkish earrings and a burgundy and turquoise embroidered wrap! What struck us most was the kindness, generosity and genuineness of the owner. We spoke to him for 15 minutes and he discussed love, community, and sharing. We left with beautiful items and thankful hearts! Go visit this gem of a human! He, like his store, is colorful and lovely!”

“Last year, while shopping in town, I came across a great eyeglass store. The owners were wonderful . I ended up with a pair of Chrome Hearts sunglasses ( more than I would normally spend!). I loved them, and then sadly broke them! Robin and Xiaou Tian could not have been more wonderful. They kept in constant contact and searched for my discontinued glasses. I was issued a credit and picked out new glasses, which I love even more. They could not have been more helpful. I've been in the retail trade for close to 40 years. I was so impressed with their desire to make me happy. I will definitely revisit Potpourri on my next trip”

I bought a funky piece of art for our bar area at home and a bracelet from the artist. Next time the $30,000 ring I tried on that was stunning will hopefully be my anniversary present ❣️”
“It was the number one store we had to stop in, so we went there first. She had her eye on the prize, a beautiful Sapphire ring that was perfect in every way except a touch too big. When she told the lovely and very communicative owners she'd be back later to decide, they guaranteed her the ring without a single doubt. Fast forward to her return just a few short hours later, they had to break the news that the ring was sold to someone else that day. And from that moment, the woman swore she would never come back... Until later that night, it the last night in Sapphire Valley with her family and she couldn't help but enjoy the Mountain View and the company of her grandchildren, children, and husband of 50 years. As they all raised a toast to a wonderful trip, her husband pulled out a bow-wrapped box and said Happy Anniversary, Hunny. She knew immediately it was the ring she was talking about all afternoon and couldn't help but cry. Thankful for her daughter, who encouraged him to hurry to the store and buy it before she did, she got the ring! Couldn't recommend this beautiful jewelry store enough!! The owners were so kind and full of wonderful stories, the prices were great and I look forward to making it back again one day!
