Ridiculously overpriced. High up managers treat lower ranking staff like garbage. (*cough* Nabbale *cough* Alice *cough*) And hold their employees to unrealistic standards and sometimes can be downright cruel. Literally no one enjoys their presence.Had personal experience with a wonderful coworker being pushed out of the company for no clear reason. Just kept having their hours cut until they couldn't survive. And apparently Alice will blatantly ask her subordinates to not give certain people she dislikes hours.Overall, good products, but not a business worth supporting. You're better off literally anywhere else.

I absolutely love this store. It’s a nice change from more corporate varieties on the same theme & I appreciate the sense of community engendered by the company.Great selection too!

Weaver st in Carrboro is like living in Santa Cruz, and I mentioned it already. It started around 1986? It was like a dream.Incidentally - The Weaver St in Hillsborough has always had fantastic staff. Cooks, bakers, beer/wine selection, prepared dinner entree under $8!Side note they need more 'Starpoint' No Duh(Carrboro) beer. Their Burial Surf Wax beer is $2.50 Cheaper than Whole Foods.

Our local grocery store keeps getting better for vegans! It seems like they keep adding new fun things for us vegans here. Aside from already having the best produce of any grocery store we visit (seriously, the best), we also have the option to get so many fun baked goods. These include the sweet potato muffin, the NEWLY added vegan croissants (plain, chocolate, and raisin roll!), the apple crumble pie, and seasonally the pecan pie and the orejitas angel wing cookies. Their bakery department is the ONLY place to get good bread in North Carolina (I said it). I love the la miche and the sourdough. I come from the Philly area and it was really hard to find decent bread in NC, at first. We often enjoy the tofu scramble of the veggie morning wrap for breakfast here. The coffee is excellent, the lattes just ok (stick with Cup A Joe, nearby for lattes).

Love this little co-op style grocery store with end end cheeses, beer, meat, and just about anything else. What a pleasure just to walk around the place and find new things.

Weaver Street Market is a go to store when I'm in NC. It has a nice selection of foods and great staff. It's a nice meeting and community place.

Ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate icing for my husband's birthday. I'm lactose intolerant and it's "animal product free". My guests could not stop raving about the cake, and I had the same reaction when we used it as a wedding cake a few years ago. If you need a dessert for a special event, I highly recommend ordering in advance. Even the grab and go desserts are good but custom is great!

This grocery store is amazing! Local products are available that are top quality! Hot food bar is very popular along with the salad bar. Everything is fresh and delicious!

Bottom floor of the Gateway Center. The actual parking lot associated with Weaver St is at best, a stressful event; however, the public parking deck and one trailhead for the Riverwalk is located right behind Weaver St. There is a little patio (partly covered) where you can eat outside. Often there are also buskers or people with organizations outside attempting to raise money/ signatures. The store is laid out very logically if a little small. They have really nice fresh and often locally sourced produce. They also have locally sourced dairy and cheese products. They have a coffee counter and a hot bar serving breakfast, lunch/dinner. They also have a really nice salad bar, dessert bar and and wholesale items (nuts, fresh made guacamole, premade lunches, etc.) They are a popular dining spot and grocery store. They do have some really good community programs as well, such as recycling programs. They don't have bags in store, so you need to bring your own. They also specifically do not have plastic cutlery- they have steel that asks one to wash and return even if taking food away.

Weaver Street is a medium-sized co-op grocery store, one of four in the area, specializing in locally produced/grown organic foods. I primarily go to Weaver Street when I want to pay a premium for produce that tastes better, though you need to be careful about what you choose. More than once I have brought home produce that appeared good, but had been on the shelf too long without the preservatives that non-organic grocers use. The biggest reason that I only use Weaver Street on an "as needed" basis, though, is that it tends to attract the better-liberal-than-you crowd--customers will push you out of the way, parents will encourage their children to practice their conversations at length with the staff when you are waiting, there is a stickiness all around. I actually prefer Steve's down the street for local farm products.

Great local grocery chain with high quality options for all kinds of food sensitivities and preferences. I love the lush produce, locally roasted Joe VanGogh coffee beans, lunch options and the wide variety of cooled bottled drinks.

Great place to meet for coffee or a light meal and go for a walk along the river. Convenient parking. Great selection of JPs bakery items both gluten-free and vegan. Nice small selection of groceries, but not enough to do all of your grocery shopping.

Nice local grocery store comparable to Whole Foods. Very pleasant outside dining tables where you can bring pets. Good place to stop for lunch or a drink while on the Riverwalk Trail. Plenty of parking between the local lot and the parking deck next door.

Weaver street is the best co-op store I have been too. Staff there are always amazing and friendly and ready to lend a helping hand. I do love that the staff are knowledgeable about their products and can give me recommendations on certain products before I buy it. The hot bar has never disappointed me. I never have been so in love with chicken burritos as I am with Weavers street. Also, you guys have the best Chicken Cesar salad.
