“My family was making a quick trip from northern Virginia to Wilmington, NC (about 7 hours with kids) and we were in a big rush since it was just a weekend trip. About 3 hours into the ride it started to get pretty warm outside just over 80 degrees which inside the truck was starting to feel more like 90 degrees since we had my wife, kids (1 and 3 year olds) and 2 dogs. The air conditioning was not working and it was getting uncomfortable. We couldn't keep the windows down too much because going 70 mph on I 95 was too much for the kids and also didn't seem to cool anything down. We looked up different big name places like Firestone (which just serviced the air conditioning 2 days earlier and said there wasn't a leak) and explained we were in a rush but needed to stop because the kids were getting hot and 2 of them told us we would have to wait over 2 hours to be seen. Considering a Firestone was the one who supposedly fixed the air 2 days earlier we were a bit annoyed. We called Medlin and spoke to the young lady in the office and she told me the mechanic wasn't in but to call his cell phone and tell him our story. We called him on his cell phone and he said he would meet us at his garage in 20 minutes. So we took the next exit off 95 and drove to his garage. We arrived there minutes before he did and the young lady in the office was very nice and pleasant to talk to. She told me some places to eat in town (I thought I was going to be there awhile since Firestone had me wait 3 hours to fix it earlier). The owner/head mechanic arrived and told me to pull up the truck to the garage. I explained I had 2 dogs in the truck and he offered me a fenced in area on the side of the building where he keeps his dog sometimes because it could get too hot in the truck to let them sit in there. My larger dog doesn't like being away from my wife and kids so they all went into the fenced area so he wouldn't run out. He then let me come over and explained to me what was going on with my air conditioning and why there was dye everywhere and what I should do with the truck after the trip. We were in a rush so I didn't have time to let him find the leak but he filled up the AC with freon so it would last the rest of the trip. While we were at the truck, the young ladies in the office went over and kept my wife company and talked to my 3 year old. He was done looking at my AC, filling it up and told me what was going on and the next follow up steps to take and I was done in less than 30 minutes. So even though I was reluctant to drive off 95 15-20 minutes, we really only lost just over an hour from our trip. Hopefully nothing will go wrong soon but if I am even a couple hours away from his shop that will be where I go to get it worked on. Like he said, 30 years plus experience goes a long way. Mike”

“This man's favorite thing to do is put in motors. Ask him to do yours today! If his dad asks how many seconds there are in a year. The answer is 12. Great people!!”
