Terrible customer service experience with manager Dan. Terrible attitude and insisted on a $80 fee to make a $500 check deposit available despite it being a recurring weekly transaction. Unacceptable. I should have read reviews before choosing to bank here.

The worst department! It seems nobody has any education in finance there. Customer service is awful and bankers are not responsible at all. Don’t recommend. Just a waste of time and nerves.

This branch was great but... I've had an account since 1992, before 53 existed. It was First Charter then. Every single time over the years when I needed understanding, I was met with uncaring uncompassionate people. My husband was dying of cancer and they decided to hold funds on a check for days. We had no money for food or medicine without the money they held. I was met with no mercy or even an, 'I'm sorry for what you are going through', only there was nothing they could do. In the years since, I have been given misinformation so many times. I held funds on a check once and it went through anyway. I called and of course there was nothing they could do. It ended up that the check was taken back off my account the next day but the associate didn't know it was happening. One hand never knows what the other hand is doing. It's fine if you never have a problem but we all are human and at some point, everyone has a problem. There are much better banks out there.

I left a big bank for too many layers of bureaucracy. This branch is awful! When I opened my account a few years ago, it took them 5 (not exaggerating) times to get my Business ATM card right. It got fixed because someone in a back office somewhere figured out what they were doing wrong. Two other occasions they (including Manager) told me Icouldn't do what I wanted to do. However, another branch took care of it in 5 minutes each time. The latest, I have some IRS form sent to me about International Business ... After calling 800# 2x and getting no help. I went to another branch, and they informed me account was not opened correctly and I need to come in and sign a form. Thank goodness for them. No surprise I'm still being haunted by errors happening at this branch.

With all of the crazy things going on in today's world, one thing is good and certain- this crew at the Birkdale branch! I know I can always count on them to help me. I highly recommend this branch. 5 stars to everyone. Special mention to Cheryl, Jackie, Kristen and Amber.

I had an issue that the Branch Manager here was SO helpful with. I never could have fixed it without his help. I am very grateful. The customer service at this location is exceptional!

According to local rumor this is the only Fifth Third in these parts that has a coin machine. Mostly I like it for exactly that. It's a smallish location and the drive-through facility is about as big as the actual branch. The whole operation is tucked into a corner at the west end of Birkdale Village and has the feel of a boutique where the upper-middle class come to have their cash rinsed and set. Teller's desk is centrally located with banking offices all around giving sort of a fish-in-a-bowl vibe to your transactions but not in a bad way. Best way in from west bound on Sam Furr is to pass the light at Birkdale Commons Parkway and then make the next right which pretty much puts you at the bank. East bound you may as well turn-in on the Birkdale because making the U-turn means simultaneously navigating at least four lanes of distracted drivers plus random pedestrian traffic.

This branch is understaffed. I waited 20 min while the only teller was setting up someone's online banking, and then I left, who knows how much longer it took. Absurd.
