Great gym lots of serious lifters and great environment. However just recently ended membership due to not being as close anymore. I've been to a lot of other gyms that you have to jump through 12 different hoops just to end the membership here it was easy and was cancelled wjth a snap of a finger. Great management great atmosphere

Love this gym. It feels like a real gym, has everything one needs. No intimidation. The owner, Steven is the kindest.

Great gym, great equipment. Got a day pass with some buddies while in town. Friend left their phone on a holiday weekend, and on Sunday morning, when the gym would not be staffed for 2 days, the owner was willing to locate and help us retrieve the phone. Dedicated to fitness and customer satisfaction. 10/10Elite Fitness refused to sell us a day pass BEFORE the 2 pm cut off because their employees were being lazy on a holiday weekend.

I really love this gym, judgment free zone for sure. I also love how they provide feminine products in case of an emergency. Everybody here is like family.

I've been attending this fitness center for about 10 months. I've had a good experience here. The staff are friendly, there are a lot of treadmills and machines to work on.

Terrible experience with The Body Technicians which is owned by Matt who is also an owner of his gym. I worked with Matt and Steven at Body Technicians for two days. The situation was terrible and they made me very uncomfortable. They refused to help correct the situation so I was forced to ask for a refund. They lied about having told me about their zero cancellation policy. Nothing was ever signed or agreed upon. I was charged the fee from a company that doesn't even exist nor did I have any communication with. Per the state of NC they have to provide a refund within 3 days of purchase and they are refusing to do so. They will not respond to emails so here we are letting the world know how terrible they are.I recommend VERY highly to NEVER do business with this gym or "The Body Technicians". Same owner. Same experience. They will lie, cheat and steal to keep your money while providing no services.

This gym is awesome! It's hard to describe, but it's like the "Cheers" of gyms, where the staff is always friendly, often greets you, and you'll actually see a lot of familiar smiling faces if your visits are around the same time each day. I've been to most of the gyms in the area, and this one really has them all beat as far as equipment and friendliness goes (especially the staff.)They actually answer the phone when you call! That is huge and so rare. They are available to take the time and give you a real gym tour. And, there's usually someone at the desk during staffed hours, but if they aren't there, they're almost always working hard to clean, or fix something. It feels really good supporting an honest, local, family business. Thus, this review. The owner, Cindy is an absolute gem! She is so kind, and the rest of her family and the staff are always willing to help find something like a misplaced water bottle or resistance band, or to answer your questions when you have them. The first time I met Cindy, was several years ago. I mistakenly asked her if she was the new cleaning lady because she was so good and quick at mopping the rubber mats in the functional fitness area, surely she had to be a professional cleaner. She said, "Yes" (LOL). She later told me she was also the new owner, and really enjoyed cleaning. There are a lot of moving parts in this gym, so things break sometimes, but unlike other gyms, they won't sit for weeks and weeks out of service. The owner's husband is an older, experienced handyman and knows how to fix just about every piece of equipment himself. He works at the desk quite a bit too, and he's just as sweet and friendly as Cindy and the rest of the staff! As a woman, I also have to comment that the 2 or 3 male staff members aren't creepy at all! I'm not going to call any other place out specifically, but believe me, that's pretty rare in the gyms around here.Olympus has very reasonable rates, especially for a place that is this good and old-school niche.Honestly, I'm in my forties, and I feel so comfortable here. It seems to appeal to college age and older, up to about 60. You won't really see senior citizens at Olympus, although I'm sure they would be welcome. The music is probably a bit too young for the older generation of folks. So, even though it feels old-school, this ain't going to be your grandma's or grandpa's gym ;)There's really nothing negative to say. It does get a little crowded right after work hours, but not terrible, either, and every other time is pretty light. People really like it there, so that's why they're busy sometimes. That's great for all of us. At least I know they have enough business and are here to stay! Olympus is a true service to the community and is the main thing that I love about living in Huntersville!

I was a member at Olympus for over 6 years. Unfortunately, the gym culture has regressed majorly. I've had multiple occasions where a squat rack/bench wouldn't have anyone around it/weight on the bar and then someone would claim the piece of equipment. All the while that same person who claimed it would go across the gym and use a foam roller to stretch or talk with their buddies. One member claimed a squat rack and they didn't use it for 40 minutes. The gym has become a clique of friends who hog the squat rack and bench and don't like it when they get called out on it. If you want to go to a hardcore gym in Huntersville, go to Elite Fitness not Olympus.
