Both of my kids were in the early education program at MCA since they were 3 months old, they are now both in elementary school. The leadership is outstanding, and staff is so loving and kind. They equip kids with a Christian worldview, which is extremely important in this day and age. I highly recommend Metrolina Christian Academy. We have had an amazing experience.

We applied to this school for the 2021-22 school year. Do to our own fault, we were late with some paperwork, and missed our interview with the principal, and lost our spot. Ironically, the principal couldn’t make the original scheduled meeting the day before, so we gladly rescheduled the next day, but due to an unforeseen delay with our business, we were 30 minutes late. Since we missed the meeting, our daughter lost her spot, and we were put on the waiting list. Unfortunately, we weren’t given the same grace for being unable to make the meeting schedule, and we’re not given the opportunity to reschedule the meeting we missed. We were assured that if something opened up, we’d be contacted. We were also told that our application would be kept for the 2022-23 year, and we wouldn’t have to reapply. We never received an email, phone call, or any other sort of communication about our place. I can’t help but feel that this school simply did not want our daughter to attend because her parents were not able to meet paperwork deadlines. We are a hard working family with our own business that demands a lot of time and sometimes creates obstacles outside of our control. We tried to communicate this to the administrator, but seemed to offend them more than anything. We tried meeting with the director, but he simply felt that there was no way his staff could have treated us negatively for any reason. We never claimed perfection, and understood losing our place, but this whole situation seemed as far from “Christlike” as I could feel. Not being contacted about our wait position confirmed that they simply would rather not have us as part of their school. That’s ok. I hope God continues to bless their institution anyway. I’m thankful to not be a part of a community that doesn’t welcome everyone. I will update my post if the administration contacts me about the wait list. My advice to anyone wanting to attend this place, don’t be late with anything. And remember the principles time is more important than yours, they can reschedule a meeting but you can’t, even if you’re just 30 minutes late. I steal for the life of me cannot see Christ in the story.

worst school I've ever been a part of. they have taken down some of my old classmates reviews because they were so bad. I left after middle school because of how toxic it is. some of the most fake people I've met in my entire life and staff you can forget it.

My son has been there since he was 8 weeks old and is now 8 and in the third grade at MCA. We have had an amazing experience with all the teachers and staff. My son does well academically and has a lot of biblical knowledge. We cannot image him being at any other school.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how much we love MCA! After having a terrible experience with another Christian School in the area, we were lead to MCA, and we cannot be happier! The teachers are very loving and supportive, as is all of the staff. My children have grown so much in their Faith in the two years they have been at MCA, and they become more Christ-like each day. The school is well-managed academically, spiritually, and financially. MCA has been such a blessing to my family!!! All the sacrifice we have made to be able to send our children there is well worth it!!!

My daughter has been at MCA since she was 18 months old and she is now 9. Our daughter LOVES her school and the teachers and students there are like family to us. My husband and I are very grateful to have a school like MCA in our area that provides quality education with an emphasis on Christian principles and teachings. Mr. Calloway and his staff are such a blessing to our community and any family considering private education should visit MCA. Highly recommend Metrolina Christian Academy!

I graduated from Metrolina in 2007. Since then I received my BA in English from UNC Greensboro and am currently finishing my MFA in Creative Writing at George Mason University. I am grateful for much of my experience at Metrolina. The staff (mostly) is kind and supportive and helpful. I had the BEST English teacher I've ever known, and one of the best people I've ever known as a mentor. I became very close to the faculty. Making friends was more difficult, which might sound strange coming from me as I was both the homecoming queen and prom queen my senior year. However, it was. There were many clicks at the school, and many students did not embrace those who weren't similar to the majority or hadn't been in the school since elementary school. However, I found my people eventually and developed strong friendships. The best lesson I learned was to just be myself and not try to impress (which is a cliche, I know). In terms of an academic education, I really feel like I missed out. The classes were not academically rigorous, nor did they teach me what I needed to be prepared for a public college education. I spent much time my Freshman year of undergrad trying to read and get caught up on the common knowledge many of my peers had from their high school educations. Yet, I must acknowledge that I am pleased with where I am now in terms of life and career and education, so, of course Metrolina must have taught me some valuable lessons even if not academically.
