Husband is a truck driver for the company. Was with him during delivery. Asked cashier to use the restroom which is supposed to be open to drivers. Was told by cashier the restroom was out of service to the public. So when drivers come to deliver to stores that they often have to stay overnight, then when and where are they supposed to use the restroom. Especially when most of their locations are in sparsely populated areas.

Today was the start of their additional 50% off clearance items sale at all Dollar General stores. I walked into the Gum Branch store in Jacksonville NC this morning to a straight up train wreck. I observed a few people going in looking around and walking right back out. Another person picked up two bottles of wine, walked out the doors. I'm not even sure she paid for them, she may have.
Not only were the clearance items not properly displayed at the front of the store on a table, the rest of the store was full of freight blocking the aisles. There was only one overworked person inside the place.
I tried to navigate the store and did manage to find a trashed out clearance section down one aisle. Using a scanner, not many items were properly marked.
I left that store and went to another Dollar general nearby which was neat, clean, and had the proper 50% off clearance table at the front of the store.
Hire more people.

It’s so messy I tripped and twisted my ankles on on the many mounds of boxes. Some of the workers are horrible they made a women’s child cry because he is special ed. They have good deals though.

I saw a woman eat a rat here and the cashier wouldn't take my mom's coupons. It's so messy that the cockroaches have their own kingdom and the the cashier is the queen of them all.

I needed to grab a few things for my kids class for this coming week. I found great selection of Easter candy. Not a whole lot of plastic egg options but I got what I needed. Store was clean and organized. The newer management must be working as in the past it was messy. I can always find my favorite drink cherry Dr pepper here too. Makes my day when I find it. Store has options to self check out with using a card or an employee will check you out. You can find cold items like ice cream, milk, bacon, cereal, diapers, and cleaning supplies. They also have a nice selection of home decor that I just have to browse each time I go into the store.

Great affordable friendly store. 99% of ⌚ they always have your item in stock! I'd drive? across town if I had to just to visit THIS store. EXCEPT IONAL job guys. "Y'all deserve a RAISE!"
